Chapter 2 Home, The Brothers

Violet's POV

My left hands enclosed around the door knob and memories instantly flooded into my brain, I

choked on a sob right before I pushed open the door and stepped into the house.

The whole place was silent and I glanced around only to stop dead in my tracks when I saw who

was there.

There seated on the single couch was my father and opposite him were three men, all with eyes

on my form.

They looked ridiculously gorgeous, with dark gelled hair and one had curly hair, the other had

gelled hair, and the last one had normal cut hair that made him look like a god amongst us

humans.

Their gazes felt like it was removing every single piece of clothing I had on, I felt bare to their

heated gazes.

They all had piercing blue orbs that seemed to see right through me and I felt myself heat up to

their gazes, they looked like they could threat a woman right. what the heck was wrong with me.

I shivered but tried to hide it and from their small mouth tipping up, I knew they caught it. Fuck

me.

"Violet" father's voice cracked at the word and my eyes found his immediately, I saw how

shocked he was at my sight and that was when a single tear raced down my face and without

another word, I dashed up the stairs.

Leaving my luggage behind in my haste to escape the penetrating gazes if those three men that had no idea would come to torment my life.

I got to my room on the second floor and gently pushed it open, holding back my sobs from

escaping as more memories flooded into me. This was where I spent the last twenty three years of my life.

It was baffling wasn't it? A twenty three year old woman being played for a fool in this new

century. I have a soft laugh as I closed up the door and went to take a seat on the bed.

It was surreal that I was back here, I had considered this place stifling at some point. Who knew i'd be back here with tears? Who knew?My eyes flitted over the posters, cards and medals hanging around and felt the dam fight to break free but again, I held back. I took out my phone, thankful it still had battery and quickly put a call across to my best friend.

We had known each other since childhood and he was now successful at the moment, better

than me though and I wished countless times that I could be what he was, a successful

millionaire or billionaire.

"Hello. Queen Raphael speaking" I laughed a bit at that, he had told me he did that to know who

he didn't want to pick their calls and whom he should when suddenly his voice changed.

"Hey girl" he hollered with an excitement I wasn't at all feeling at the moment.

"Hello queen Raphael" I teased, glad for the small reprieve from my problems.

"You don't sound so good so I won't bother asking what's going on. Where are you?" He

immediately asked instead with a concerned voice and I gave another glance at my room.

"Home" I choked out and he took in a sharp breath before his voice came out more stronger,

more serious.

"I'll be there in five minutes tops"and he disconnected the call, this was why I loved him, he was always there when I needed him and this was one of those times.

As I sat there, I heard footsteps then my door was pushed in harshly.

"Young lady, you're not welcome here" I surged forward and ran straight into the arms of my

father, he made an ooph sound and didn't return the embrace but then, that was finally the time

when the dam broke and I cried into his shoulders.

He sighed as his hands came to lift me up, holding me to him and allowing me cry for as long as I could. He patted my back softly, continuously until I cried out every single tear I had left and when I tried to pull away, he held me back to him and once again, I broke down in tears.

I missed my father, he knew me... perfectly. He was my rock and my safe place.

"That's it, let it all out" he whispered into my ears and the sobbing increased until I felt I had no more tears to shed and I became weak, then he took me to my bed and laid me down. Bringing up the duvet to cover me up.

"Fa-"

"Shhh, talk after rest, never forget that" he cautioned with a soft smile and I nodded before I felt myself drifting off to sleep.

My slumber was filled with restless nightmares, it made me twist and turn constantly on the bed

and every time I did, a soft voice whispering into my ears only had me feeling safe.

"You'll be fine little cat, you always have been"

It didn't take too long when the sound of rushing footsteps filled the whole place and soon, Raphael rushed into my room and as soon as he said we on the bed. His eyes lit up with realization then he gritted out. Rage filling each of his words.

"I will destroy him" he came forward

and bent to stare into my teary eyes that I knew must have been red and puffy from all the tears.

"It's all my fault-" I cried out lowly, I was embarrassed at myself for what I had done despite the warnings I had received from everyone of my closed friends and sighs filled my ears instantly.

"It's not your fault baby girl, we're the same I guess. Falling for ungrateful souls

"dad's voice was pained and filled with regret and now I understood what he meant. When Mom left, dad was broken just like I was broken at the moment.

"it doesn't matter. What matters is how to get you back to your feet" Raphael was part of the

family now, and we all listened to him whenever he made a pitch. Just like now.

" That is true. But she needs rest. Then we talk" father sent me a reassuring smile before he left

the room with Raphael following closely behind.

As I laid there, trying to fall asleep once more. A soft tapping filled my ears and I glanced at the

window to find a shape there staring straight at me.

A blood curdling scream left my lips as the masked person made a killing motion and jumped off.

Father and Raphael rushed into my room with panic and fear in their facial expressions and

when they saw me with my eyes to the window, they rushed there and pushed it open before

looking around for the source of my scream.

"Are you okay? What happened?" Father asked with a worried look on his face and I startled.

"Someone came to the window... after you left" I praised myself for uttering those words without

stuttering as I felt a shiver rake down my spine.

"Did you get a face?" Raphael asked and I shook my head, trying to recall something else I

could use but not being able to. The person was fully covered to avoid being recognized or

recognisable and I was busy screaming out my lungs to catch a full look.

"They were on a mask with black googles too" I explained and they each gave the window

another scrutinising look.

"Since the company's stocks went under, I have had this feeling that our villa might not be so safe anymore. This only proves my point " father informed sadly and I immediately rushed into his arms.

I wondered who that was, why they had come for me and what did I do to this person for them

to make a killing gesture at me before leaving."they made a killing gesture at me in front of the neck before jumping off" I informed and Raphael's eyes flooded with fear.

"Then we need to be careful with you, I will send someone to have a look at the window

tomorrow to avoid anything or anyone getting in" Raphael immediately suggested and father

gave him a grateful nod.

"Since you're not sleeping anymore, we should have that talk now. We have to know.

"My throat clogged as I began to question how I could tell my father that it was probably due to

the help he rendered to my scum ex husband that caused the major setback in his company.

"Are you okay? You don't look so good" father asked with worriedness and I nodded sharply,

too sharp and he caught it then narrowed his eyes at me.

"Violetta Aurora SAINTS, when did you begin to tell lies?" He questioned, calling me by my full

name and I gulped , father never did so unless he knew something was off and that I was

withholding something from him.

"Fa-"

"Speak now" he ordered with a glare and I swallowed once again.
