Chapter 5 The beginning of retribution

They ran and drove until they reached a cemetery. Stella staggered over and sat down by a tombstone. Her tears never stopped falling.

Her gaze was empty and full of sadness. "Dad, Mom, I miss you. Jason betrayed me and his family. What should I do?"

"Hold me, Mom! I'm so lonely here by myself." She mumbled through her tears.

Stella was fragile and alone amidst all this betrayal. She cried and was just able to vent her emotions. She missed her parents, who died in an accident when she was 15. During that time, she lived

with the Hilton family, who had initially become her servants. With Stella's help, the Hiltons became respected; Jason attended school abroad and found success in his relationships.

But what he had done was like milk for water. Good for bad.

The 28-year-old had once been so kind to him, always giving him genuine attention. But in recent years, his attitude had changed, and perhaps that was the answer.

"Jason, I love you. But why are you cheating on me? Playing with fire behind my back?" she cried out in anguish.

The evening rain soaked her clothes, and the wind and thunder added to her discomfort. Stella walked down the street, soaking wet. She screamed as loudly as she could. "Aaaaaaaa!"

She was so upset that she didn't expect to be used by Jason and his family after all that he had done for her.

However, Stella was no weakling. She wouldn't let her pride be trampled on, not even by the Hilton family. "I won't be fooled like this, Jason! I'll get even!" She muttered.

She clasped her hands firmly and tightened her grip. Her eyes were sharp and full of deep hatred. "Jason, I will not lose to you. I'll make sure you don't get even a fraction of what I have." She said with determination.

Stella walked out into the rain, got into her car, and drove back to her house. She had something planned for Jason.

The next day

Jason picked up Rafael at the hospital and took him home. Stella could not pick him up because she was busy.

However, after they arrived home, They received a surprise from Stella. "You're finally home again, Rafael!"

She was standing at the living room door with her arms folded. She smiled coldly, a smile that was hard to interpret.

"Honey, aren't you busy?" Jason asked.

"Yes, I just finished work. However, I made time to meet with Rafael," she replied coldly.

Her face was expressionless.

Rafael ran to hug Stella. "Mom." he said softly. She returned his hug for a moment, but then let go.

Knowing that he had changed, she asked, "Don't you miss me?"

She murmured softly, her gaze wistful.

"Of course I missed you, dear. I'm glad to see you back in this house." She replied coldly, looking at Jason sarcastically.

Something was different about Stella. She seemed friendly, yet she was now cold as a block of ice. "What's wrong with you, dear? Did Rafael take offense to your attitude?!"

Jason was annoyed after Rafael pouted.

"I've learned a truth that's been hidden for years, and I don't like lies," Stella explained.

Jason gasped, feeling curious and a little nervous. "Did someone lie to you to make you talk like that?" Jason asked.

Stella smiled bitterly. She knew she had lied, but she didn't want to admit it. She pretended not to know anything.

"Of course there is. In fact, he is the closest person to me." Stella replied sarcastically.

She then turned toward the door and spoke up. "I have prepared a special gift for you." "I have prepared a special gift for you," Stella said.

"Really?" Rafael asked enthusiastically. He couldn't wait to see what gift his mother had prepared for him.

"The gift is behind the door," Stella said.

Rafael was so excited, he immediately ran to the door to see his prize. But when he saw it, there were only two large and small suitcases visible. . And it looked so striking. Rafael asked curiously. "What are those suitcases mom? Are we going on vacation together?" Rafael was so happy saw Stella's surprise.
