Chapter 7 He is not in love with her

Jack's POV

I couldn't believe my mother, I knew there was something wrong but couldn't put my fingers around it yet, so I immediately turned on my computer and placed an order for a bunch of big white chrysanthemums.

After ordering them, I checked the place where the flowers were sent and I gasped and clasped my mouth with my hand, I was surprised at the expensive and huge hotel, then my eyes slowly lowered to the person she was sending the flowers to.

Wow! Katherine is so cool! My lips parted and my eyes dilated. She sent white chrysanthemums for Kelly's birthday? I was astonished, but on second thoughts, I halt with my excitement. This could be an enemy, it must be so. I bit my lower lips.

Jumping to my feet, I grabbed my coat, if that was an enemy to Katherine, I can't just let her be alone, and I was going to help her. I grabbed my bag and hung it over my shoulder before running out of the hotel we stay at.

Katherine's POV

I watched from afar as Kelly takes Henry's arms, it was the first time to see him in seven years and the memories of what he has said to me flashed through my memories.

I don't want to set my eyes on you anymore

They were holding red wine glasses and talking with guest with smiles on their faces, the smiles were faint and I wished I could smack those smiles off their faces, funny how one of them was the son of a noble family and the other an international superstar who is now popular all over the sky, and no matter which aspect, they were definitely attracting much attention.

"Kelly, Henry, your uncle is here," A voice called them and I turned my eyes in the direction they had turned to see a jeweled lady who approached them. "Your uncle is here, go and meet him." She informed them and I glanced around the room wondering where he was as I have only also seen him on the news but not physically.

I scoffed when I saw a proud looking man surrounded by several bodyguards, he walked into the hall with slender straight legs and his appearance became the center of attention.

I pressed down my lips together, even on the news he has always been dazzling, he was handsome, too handsome for a proud man.

Perhaps this could be the reason he has lot of eyes on him, ladies admiring him too, could also be his wealth.

I shook the thought from my head, and turned my eyes back to Henry and Kelly, they were after all the reason I was here.

"Let's go." Henry's voice revived Kelly who was also dazzled by Celeb.

They approached celeb and they exchanged pleasantries, from the look of Celeb, he was only few years older than them, but his identity in Grey's enterprise Inc., let alone them, no one dares to be arrogant to him.

I noticed that they greeted him with a smile, but he only nod back to them without an expression on his face, his eyes were cold and indifferent and something about him frightened me, I just couldn't read him.

He waved Jerry over and softly whispers something I didn't hear to him, but I figured it out when Jerry came with a box in his hand.

"Happy birthday." Celeb told Kelly whose eyes lights up in a smile, and I believe she was obviously happy to receive his gift.

I scoffed to see her cheeky smile. She received the present and glanced up at him. "Thank you, Uncle Celeb, can I open it now?" Her eyes darted from the present to him.

"Be my guest." His words were simple and nonchalant, he was interesting to watch, to watch him speak and study his expression.

I watched Celeb's eyes fall on the string of pink glass beads on Kelly's wrist and his eyes were full of sadness, he was there, but I felt his thoughts wander.

Henry glanced from Kelly to Celeb. "Mr. Celeb, let's go and sit first!" He pointed towards a table. "Women are so troublesome." He glanced at Kelly and I smirked.

Perhaps their wedding isn't that flowery.

I watched Celeb and Henry move away from Kelly, but my eyes darted back to Mrs. Rose and I clenched my hand into fist as I thought back to what she had done to me in the past

"Kelly, what did your uncle send to you?" Mrs. Rose asked curiously as she glanced at the present.

Kelly turned around with a huge smile on her face. "It's a limited edition wristwatch newly launched recently!" My eyes dilated when I recalled coming across on the internet. "Mr. Celeb is very generous!" Her lips spread wide.

Mrs. Rose glanced down, looking at the beautiful watch in the box. "It's not looking bad, I think he is very kind to you, and you are really blessed my daughter." Mrs. Rose touched her shoulder with a smile and Rose smiled back.

I rolled my eyes to the mother-daughter admiration. You must think highly of yourself now Kelly, since your popularity is added by Mr. Celeb's support, truly you should feel blessed since he always support you on your birthdays and large-scale conferences.

I closed my eyes momentarily to calm the anger I felt inside, Celeb support seem to be the most important reason she can sit firmly as a celebrity in the entertainment industry.

"Mrs. Kelly, someone just asked me to bring this to you," Janet, Kelly's assistant approached her with a box and they turned in her direction. "They said it was a surprise for you."

Kelly glanced around and received the box, I was sure she was wondering who has sent her a present, I smirked.

"Who?" She glanced at Janet.

"She said you would know once you open the present." Janet informed her and Kelly received the gift in anticipation, smiles crawling all over her face.

I glanced up with flames in my eyes. Get ready Kelly, this is about to be the worst birthday in your entire life.
