Chapter 4 A sip of goodluck

Imidiately Diana knocked on her door, Micheal opened the door on the spot.

"Hmmm my sweetheart Micheal, Where you waiting for me?" She crossed her hands around his neck, making him froze. She dropped her head on his chest. He could hear her low voice but the words weren't clear.

Micheal bent a little, sniffing her mouth "have you been drinking?"

She ignored the question and chuckled. "Ha ha ha I just wanted to enjoy myself" she was wobbling.

He bent down and carried her up in his arms headed to the bedroom, he carefully laid her on the bed while removing her shoes, he heard a tiny voice.

"They have taken away everything from me, nothing's left." Her whisper very tiny.

Micheal leaned closer and saw the tear filled eyes. She brushed his hair with her fingers. She paused and looked at him closely. "They have taken everything one by one, you should go to them too, I don't have anything left, why does it hurt so much? Don't you feel the same? It hurts right?" She laughed out crazily, hitting her chest in a way that she wanted to hurt her body. Micheal grabbed her hand and let her rest on his chest.

He didn't know what to utter at the moment. Earlier in the morning when he had breakfast, he didn't care to know if she had eaten something, he was a selfish person maybe. He came to know why she was always drinking water, to subdue her hunger.

He wanted to ask how her interview went, but she dozed off. He stared into her face , slowly moved her hair strands calmly. All those while he didn't care to know about her, she had been the one doing the talking.

"it's going to be okay, things are about to turn around" she grabbed his fist holding him very tight.

It was as though, he was speaking to a torso, she was fast asleep. He drew nearer and kissed the side of her lips. It tasted familiar. He kissed her gently again and became speechless. He placed his hands on the pillow " honey" he whispered. " You taste like fine wine."

He smiled.

She woke up later, her wide eyes stuck on the Celine. She couldn't remember what happened earlier on but she knew that she was hurt and got drunk, someone took pity and helped her book a cab.

That was all she could remember, she sat up and turned her head slowly, she grabbed her Phone.

"Oh holy shit! " it's past 9 and she had missed her 9a.m interview. She jumped out of the bed, grabbed her dress but it was stained and rough. Holy Moses! What had she done?

She ran to the bathroom holding her heavy head. Imidiately she poked in, she walked into Micheal coming out from the shower.

"O..oh... my my...I swear, I didn't know you were....I didn't know you are...." She was quivering with her words while he slowly matched towards her. She tried stepping few feets back which made her collided with the wall. Her heart raced.

He smelt divine and tempting, she forcefully swallowed her spit resisting the urge to look down which made her gaze locked on his.

Her heart pounded when she realise he was almost leaning towards her. His hands were planted on the wall on each of her sides. Masking her body between him and the wall. She was in a no-win situation.

Was he about to kiss her? How would it taste like?

Her pounding head before she walked into the bathroom was now at ease.

Oh ! Such a spellbinding influence. Wow!

His face was almost close and she felt this sudden urge to walk through his tempting muscles with her tiny palms. She sensed his glare were fixed on her too.

For some weird reason, she was getting breathless when his face was getting closer. She closed her eyes and bit her lips hard waiting for his lips to grab hers. She could feel The tension between them.

She waited and felt nothing, why was he taking so long? Darm !

Suddenly, she felt a kiss on her forehead before he grabbed the towel behind her." I only wanted to take the towel honey, have you forgotten I'm gay?"

Her eyes shot wide open.

Shit! She stood there like a fool and watched him giggle and left the bathroom.

She stood on the mirror trying to catch her breathe...he was capable of making her breathless. She stared in the mirror for a while and shut the door .

After her shower, she dashed out dressed and saw him in jeans and no top, her eyes avoided his chest muscles, she walked straight into the kitchen, she needed to make something for him before leaving.

In some seconds, the waffle was ready with hot coffee. She took a piece of cookie in the fridge and drank her ragolis water. She stared at the groceries and found out there wasn't much left, she needed to make a budget for it. While going through them, grey walked in.

Gosh, why was he still shirtless? He should spare me too.

He grabbed a seat and sat quietly, she served his breakfast in front of him and about to drink her water.

A wide hand came near her face with waffle deeped in honey. She stared at him and Being confused at the moment, he nodded his head giving her a go ahead to eat. She was about to drink her water before he snatched it from her.

"Micheal, I just had my breakfast, I'm full right now"

" Honey, eat...please, you need this more than I do"

Something wasn't right. He called her honey twice today. What did she do last night? She hoped she didn't messed herself up, really?

"See Micheal, I'm sorry about last night, I drank so much that I don't know if I over stopped my boundaries...."

"You didn't do anything, I was the one who let..." His words got stuck in his mouth "forget it, eat this"

Staring at him and felt some kind of pity passion in her. She almost poured out her tears, she took a bite while he shared the breakfast into equal halves.

He pushed her own to her but she kept staring at him.

"Eat" his voice sounded commanding.

She was flickering in her thoughts. Why was he offering her food? Had he gotten a glimpse of her situation?

"Why are you feeding me?"

"You also feed me, you have to accept mine too, stop talking about these and eat okay, before I forget, do you have any job interview today?"

She shook her head, what was the need of telling him when she had already missed it. Wallowing in her thought , she didn't heard the door bell rang.

"I think someone is on the door"

She stood up imidiately and rushed to the door, Gwen wasn't around and she wasn't expecting anyone.

It was a man from the courier , she collected her envelope and went inside.

"What's that?" Micheal asked her but she signaled in confusion.

The envelope had the Marvin company's logo boldly stamped on it. What was in it? Yesterday they sent me back hiring Coco.

She opened it "
