Chapter 4 Meeting Him

/-Alora-/

They couldn't be serious. I trespassed and attacked their alpha? If I remember clearly, I was chased by a beast last night and almost killed.

"You have to let me go. I didn't attack anyone. A wild beast attacked me in the forest; I did nothing!" I defended.

"Is that so?" A rich, deep voice interrupted, and my face went bright red when I met those fierce amber pools.

I could see a very faint outline of my claws on his face but it was almost non-existent from afar.

"I didn't attack you. You were the one who attacked me!" I crossed my hands, staring defiantly into his eyes even if they made me squirm.

He stepped closer and I tried my best not to cower at the dominance he exuded. This man was a raw masculine beauty with sharp defined features and curly long hair.

He had a tall, lean, muscular structure covered in fascinating tattoos and piercings just about his brows and ears.

He looked just as dangerous as the dark aura surrounding him.

"I was defending my borders against trespassers," his tone was calm, not nearly as half as defensive as mine. "Who are you?"

His woody lemon scent had my senses spiralling for a second.

"I am Alora Printer, Luna of the SilverClaw Pack and I demand you release me now!" I started, and those thick slashed brows raised in amusement.

"Now, isn't that a delight? A Luna, caught in my rusty little cage with ugly metallic shackles around your fancy royal hands. Should we be afraid, Your Highness? Borrow weapons from our neighbours and sharpen our fangs as we await our impending doom?" His sarcasm was insulting, and had I not been in chains, I might have smacked him across the face for daring to mock me.

"You can't keep me in here," I growled.

"Oh, but I can," his face remained stoic, "but I don't intend to. I suppose you be worth quite a substantial amount."

My eyes widened.

No, this couldn't be what I think it is.

"Who.. are you?" I asked.

"Randall of the Night Terrors, Your Highness," a smirk played on his lips. "Impressive enough?"

My shoulders sagged in horror. The Night Terrors were an infamous terrorist pack consisting of thieves, robbers and all forms of criminals one could imagine. They were made of Lycans who were three times more powerful and deadlier than regular wolves.

And before was the legendary king of thieves, Alpha Randall Forte.

My throat went dry suddenly. This man was known for bringing Alphas to their knees, but he was the very opposite of every moral code I groomed in.

"What happened, Luna?" He taunted. "Not so confident anymore?"

"I... I am of noble blood. I refuse to discuss this further with a hardened criminal," I turned away from him immediately to hide the fear in my eyes.

He merely chuckled.

"Have a lovely rest, Luna. We will be sure to send words to your husband. I'm sure he must be dead worried about you."

Those words sent my heart trembling. I couldn't imagine what he would do to me if he sent words to SilverClaw, only to discover I had been kicked out by my husband.

"But then I suppose I shouldn't expect much since you were taking a stroll in the forest with your bags," his last words confirmed my fears.

Did he already know that Tyrone didn't care about my well-being?

I didn't respond to his words and simply waoked to the corner farthest away from the door.

I didn't realize how terrified I was until now. These people could do anything to me. Especially if they found out I wasn't the big prize I made them believe I was.

My stomach grumbled in a reminder that I was yet to fill my stomach, but my pride wouldn't let me ask for food. I needed to devise a plan to get out of here. And quickly at that.

I remained in the cage, accessing the men who kept me hostage. They were easily thrice my build and could knock me out with a single blow.

A few hours later, a guard approached me with some dry meat.

*Hey, Luna? Catch!" He tossed it to me and I quickly ran to it. I couldn't care less if it hit the ground. I grabbed it and dusted the sand off it before devouring it hungrily. This was no time to be picky.

I was given water which I finished in one gulp.

"So, exciting news," the curly-haired devil appeared again. "We sent words to SilverClaw and were quite fortunate to get an invite to the Alpha's wedding."

The meat in my mouth suddenly tasted like ashes.

"What?"

He opened the golden envelope in his hand.

"It appears that our dearest Alpha is wedding a certain Miss Allison Cage the day after tomorrow. Would you like to be in attendance?" His lips curled in a taunting smirk.

Already? He didn't even wait for me to be gone and he was already planning a wedding?

"You seem rather surprised, Luna. Should I be worried?" Those amber eyes glinted with mockery and I wanted nothing more than to throw the meat in his stupid face.
