She took her hands to the files she got from her house and she hands them to him. "You could get a lot from this, read through, scan it and save it. I'll think we'll need them later, also her name's Aurora. She's probably in her early forties or her late thirties. She just wanted to help so badly it made me suspect her every word and move." Alexander took the files and scanned them, he had his printed and hers saved.
He noticed the fingerprints on the paper, he's worked at labs. He knows his father's fingerprint, "Who's this? There's blood and a new fingerprint on this," She turned to him, she leaves the laptop and she stares at the soft copy.
"Someone knew about his work and didn't like the progress, your father never had a blood disease did he? I don't think so. Print this out too."
Xander asked, "Do you think my sisters should know about this? I mean Astrid and Luna Orion. They heard the news but they don't believe it either, they feel like he's in another universe like he always spoke of."
She thought of his words, "Don't, we'll need them to understand, this seems dangerous already. I don't want loose lips from anyone, I need proof of this other person and honestly, I don't think it's the director. There's someone else around and this person is fully hidden in plain sight."
"Mara, my dad told me something before he disappeared, he knew he would and he said if he did he'd be in another universe. He said he could communicate, he said he could travel with time but would require a power source. A strong power source, he suggested his blood but I didn't think he'd do it. I got some files if you'd want to see and maybe identify."
Mara stared at him, "We need to get back to her, we need to act cool and just adjust to her. I think she's capable of helping us but we are gonna watch out for any little backstabbing, okay? She is already expecting us, let's not ignore or blow our chances of finding your father."
"We should leave now, let's go to her house." Xander walks with the files and they move to her car, on their way out they see another car driving in. It's his sisters.
"Xander we found something, we need to get there now. It's more urgent than anything you are going for I promise you."
Xander replied, "Astrid, we are off to someone at the laboratory, she could help us."
Luna intruded "Alexander Nova, we need you now. Tell that person to wait, this is more important, we can't go into this specific location at night time. We have a free pass now, let's go. I'm not suggesting that to you."
Mara nods, jumps into the car, and signals Xander to get into hers, Astrid reverses her car and they drive after her. They reach a site that is far from the city, it's an outcast, and they are at the Quantum Rift. It's the teleportation circle at the outer part of the city, Xander remembered coming here about twice when he was younger. He sees a bright blue light as they walk deeper into the outcast, "What's that? Is that safe to get close to? That looks like it's radioactive."
Luna replied, "That radioactivity you see there my friend is your father's fault, he wanted to create a power source relatable to both robots and humans. He never wanted to really travel, my question is this, why?"
Xander stared at the light radiating from it, he replied, "The Stellar Shard. I remember Dad had this color in a box, he created the box from bronze and iron. He charged it with some sort of energy source, I think he took it to the Celestial Citadel to charge it but he put something else in it, his blood."
Astrid and Luna stared at him in shock, they wondered why he put his blood with a charged crystal. Mara moves closer to the blue ring, she stares at the encryption, "Xander, turn his laptop on and click on the blue icon with the title 'sound' under it. Let's try something for a moment." He did it and it played out loud, the moment it started the encryption got the blue light moving through it. A blue force field opened up, reaching the skies.
Luna picked up a piece of paper and a pen, she throws them in. Both of them disappear, and the light goes off, the same as the sound.
"What's that sound you just played, that tune? Where did you get in and why did the unity happen between the drawing on the ground and the sound?"
Mara replied, "Only your father can answer that. This is where I say we need her, we need to meet her now." Mara walks away from them, she got into the car, she waits for Xander.
Luna asked him, "Why work with that woman? You know she's our mother's enemy. She called her our father's sidekick, she hates her. You should stay away from her and her awkward goodness towards you."
Mara blows the horn, and Astrid asked, "You let her control like this? Stay away from her, we don't know her true intentions. Anyone could have hated our dad including her, you need to be cautious."
Both of them walk away from him back into their car, they drive off. He walks to hers, "I know your sisters don't like me but I don't care, I loved your father like a brother and if people don't get that, I don't give a damn about it. People can say what they want, those that know me, know me well." She drove off to Aurora's residence.
Aurora's still at work, she had a lot of paperwork to fill in on and not to mention a lot of queries after her late entrance to the meeting in the morning. It's 4:44pm and she's seen driving into the compound, she sees Mara's car. She remained calm, she walks out of the car with her documents. "If you wanted the laptop, you could have asked instead of stealing it away."
Mara interprets her actions, "The word is borrowed, I borrowed it, I didn't steal it, it belonged to a friend of mine and you stole it remember?"
Aurora stayed silent and just walked into the house, she dropped the files on the table saying, "You could steal that too if you wanted, it's more of his work. They cleared his table and his workspace, they burned his card and his lab coat, they erased his data from our records, and gave me those items you see on the table. Good luck using your skills."
She already walked in and left her outside, she walked in to prepare herself dinner with some food items in the house. Mara shut the door and stood by the kitchen door, "Aurora I'm sorry, I just wanted clarity. I wanted the proof."
