Chapter 1 Heartbreak

I inhaled softly, puzzled and feeling hot. The doctor's eyes were fixed on me.

My face was pale and weak. The report was satisfying and I felt nauseous.

I watched as his lips spilled the words:

"You just have a year to live, love and eat"

I gulped hard, that seems almost impossible as I'd be returning to the place where it all began.

The rest of the lines he spews out seem ineffective, as if I was lost in my own world.

My body shook where I sat. I'd be dying soon, but where was he to save me from all this mess?

The only person I had was Sonia. She was a true friend, staying beside me during my illness and vouching I would get well soon.

She was my strength. However, she won't be making it today. I inhaled softly with tears in my eyes, feeling all weak and drowsy.

Standing outside the hospital, I took a long glance, boarded a taxi and drove home.

I've been in the hospital for quite a couple of months. Lonely and secluded. To be sincere, I still miss him, even though he doesn't.

All I had to console myself with was, he was busy running the company affairs. I just wanted to hear his lies to comfort myself that he was still with me.

I wondered what his reaction would be. It was time he proved he loved me. I just didn't want to feel bad about anything.

Hastily, I drew closer to the doorbell, intending to ring it, but then, it was my house. I shouldn't be informing him of my return.

Hastily and exhausted, I stroked inside. Everywhere looked messy and I could tell the house missed me.

I slowly glanced around, fatigued and baffled. He claims to be neat but turned this place into a dump house.

While striding sluggishly, my eyes noticed a bra on the couch and I flinched.

I tried not to believe what it was and just assumed it was an illusion. The further I move, I keep seeing shirts and torn skirts on the ground.

Nervously, my legs led me to the bedroom. The door was widely opened. I could hear a loud moan.

Right before my very eyes, I saw him thrusting his dick inside the butthole of a woman.

His body was searing with the hit as he moved erotically with her. I was trembling where I stood.

She moaned softly as her body jerked on the bed. He had one of his hands yanking her hair and the other holding his waist as he vibrated with this woman.

They were naked, and his firm butt pointed at me. I felt wet but broken as I shook where I stood.

I discovered her face when she had briefly turned her face.

It was Sonia, her body curved on the bed while he fucks her buttholes harder.

They hadn't noticed I was inside if I hadn't thudded my hand on the door.

They threw their faces at me and, quickly, he pulled her out of him.

"Fuck!" He spat and Sonia moaned softly. I guess she still felt his dick riding inside her.

"Learn to knock!" Sonia barked and I widened my eyes at her. This was so unbelievable.

They didn't seem remorseful as he was still on the bed, not embarrassed that two women were staring at his dick, which had fallen lazily in between his legs.

Tears brewed up in my eyes as I trembled where I stood.

"Oh seriously? Why didn't you just die at the hospital? "Do you have to interrupt?" He began raking his hair and worked up.

"Ivan?" my lips muttered as he slid from the bed, picked up his pants and wore them.

That was the first word I could roll out because it was heartbreaking.

"Seriously, Olivia, you're useless and mean nothing!" He brawled at my face. I had turned pale, my heart beating so fast as though it would explode.

If I wasn't cautious, I was sure I might pass out. He was glaring at me with so much hatred.

None of this was really open. If perhaps I opened my eyes, I'd find myself with him in his arms.

"I trusted you!" I yelled, referring to Sonia, who rolled her eyes with contempt.

"That was your wrong" she mused, adjusting the blanket on her.

Before my very eyes, he dragged a file on the table and threw it at my face.

"Sign it, it's a divorce paper" he instructed, and I felt pain coursing throughout my body.

The file fell to my feet and my eyes followed it.

Everything was happening fast and I could barely breathe. Now I understood what our relationship was all about.

He wanted my company, the wealth my parents left behind for me and then divorced me for Sonia.

It could only mean he had been cheating on me with Sonia.

I drew my legs closer to hold him, but he yanked my hair, dragging me downstairs to the sitting room.

He was really pissed off by me. I could see the hate in him.

He threw me hard on the couch and I groaned. Sonia followed suit, perhaps to witness his rage at me.

She had gotten something to wear, my night gown. I could tell she was now the woman of the house in my place.

I tried to digest the pain I felt as my hand grabbed a pillow close to me and I threw it at Sonia.

I was weak, and my strength was to weep. I managed to pull myself from the couch.

"I wish you would just die!" She cursed as Ivan stood in between us. He was defending her.

"But I won't" I said with so much grief in my heart as my stomach grumbled.

That reminded me that there was a baby forming there. It was his, but then his actions proved he wouldn't want anything to do with me.

"Go away useless thing!" He insulted her, backing her up. Now am I useless? After he had taken all my wealth, he stressed me all my life...

"No! I will gain justice for this Ivan..."

I paused and crouched slowly, feeling heartburn and gasping for air.

I stretched my hand at Ivan again to help me, but he wasn't. However, I was able to grab Sonia's gown, to keep myself from falling.

I never meant to fight her. I was just dizzy and needed to grab something.

She screeched at me intending to retaliate, but Ivan held her back. He drew closer to me, pulled my hair and pushed me backward.

The force he had used made me fall on the glass table, and it shattered with me on it.
