Chapter 2 CHAP 1

Three years have passed since Twin and Dad left to visit his branch company in Japan, sumama si Twin since simula na sa training nya dahil sya ang magte-take over once Dad retire

Nakatira kami ngayon sa Marikina City, near Marquinton Residence. My parents own a big mansion in this city, which is to be expected since they are the well-known businessman/woman worldwide

Anyway, I'm Zyrene Demonise Stanford. At yan lang ang malalaman nyo sakin

Now, we are heading to the airport to pick them up. Mom is riding in our family car driven by Mang Ben, our family driver. It's a black van with air conditioned inside

And I'm riding my own Kawasaki Ninja ZX 10R

It's already ten o'clock in the evening while we're on the road, at gutom na naman ako kahit na tapos na akong kumain mga 30 minutes na ang nakalipas

Ayaw ko sanang sumama but Mom insisted. She know that Dad and I are not in good terms, but she insisted me to come with her

Hindi nalang ako umangal since ang dali lang nyang magtampo

Anyway, we reach the airport

A few moments later, we spotted them. Twin was wearing shades to avoid being recognized by people

I glanced at Dad, who looked the same as always. He hasn't aged much, but his face still showed his cold expression

"Hey"

"Twin!,"he exclaimed excitedly and hugged me tightly, seriously?

"Bibitaw ka o bibitaw ka?,"I said with a poker face, he finally released me, flashing a peace sign

"Mean,"he pouted. Childish

"Let's go"

I walked out ahead

"Sweetie,"Mom called out, causing me to pause and turn around

"Hm?"

"Aren't you going to greet Dad?,"si Twin ang nagtanong, making my body tense a little

I didn't move. Just stare. Unreadable

"Do I have to?"

A precise question, that I know none of them can't answer. He's glaring at me right now

But I ignore him as I continued walking outside

Leaning against my motorcycle, I waited for them to come out

"I'll go ahead Mom,"I said, tossing the words their way, when they come out. Nilagay na din sa mga kasama naming guard ang mga bagahe nila sa sasakyan

"Okay sweetie, drive safely"

Sumakay na ako sa motor, sinuot ang black helmet then started the engine

"Woah! Pasakay!"

Ayy, tangina

I glared at him kaya napa peace-sign sya

"Hop in"

Sumakay namn sya at umalis na din kami. No one spoke between us but after a moment he cut the silence

"Why?"

Kumunot ang noo ko habang nagdrive

"What do you mean 'why'?"

"About Dad"

My jaw hardened as I heard it

"What about him?"

"You didn't even acknowledge him earlier,"he muttered

Six words. Simple. But the impact is evident

"Bakit. Sa tingin mo ba madali?"

"Sa tingin mo ba. Hindi masakit ang nangyari? Malinaw pa rin sa akin ang lahat Twin. Kaya tumahimik ka dyan"

Not cold. Just calm. I'm not that emotionless to them, just balance. Depends on my mood

He didn't say anything but ramdam ko ang pagtahimik nya

Minutes later, my watch suddenly beeped and a red dot appeared

Oh fucking hell

My eyes suddenly felt cold. May nakasunod kina mom. The device that I put on their watch is high tech, and the watch that connected to them can detect 1km danger, and the distance I'm seeing now is 500 meters

No threat warning sign. For now

I continued driving while keeping an eye on them, but after a few moments, the red dot suddenly gone

They're really desperate to get rid of Dad, let's see

I sent a message to some of my men to meet me at the mansion. I have many people, too many to count

"Ano yan?"

"Nothing,"I quickly shut it off

Why did I forgot, that he's with me

I remained silent, since I don't like to explain. But hindi sya nakapagpigil kaya sumigaw

"Zyrene!"

I didn't flinched. But my grip on the handle slowly tightened

"Wag ka ng magtanong,"I said briefly. Cool, sharp, impossible to misplace

Namayani ang katahimikan ng walang nagsalita

I finally loosen slowly my grip. Control my movement, sighing but not casual

I remain silent. Waiting for his response if he want to. But I'm not going to crack in front of him. Not now. Not ever

"Why did you become like this?"

Why?....

"Do you think I wished that I'll be like this?,"I asked

"Twin-"

"Tatahimik ka o ihuhulog kita?"

Not a question. A threat, but it depends he's still my Twin. And I love him too much to do what I'm thinking

He didn't say a word. I don't know if he's threaten or not. But at least tumahimik sya

We arrived

I stopped at the closed gate of our parents mansion, and a scanner appeared

"Your name please,"the system. There was a scanner before we could enter in the mansion. I had it installed, since nagsimula ang mga pangyayaring hindi ko aasahan kapag wala ako dito

"Demonise"

I responded with my calculated, calm voice. And it open

"Wow,"I heard him say

"When you enter, just say your name and it will open, at automatic na iyang magsara"

Sa harapan ng mansion may malaking fountain, with a dolphin statue that gracefully spouts water into the air

On the left side, may malaking puno ng kahoy na tinitirahan ng mga ibon. Mom called this spot as a tea garden, where a round table and four chairs in the center

Sa gilid na may malaking space, yon ang garage kung saan nakapark ang mga sasakyan namin

We have four cars and two motorcycles. Dad has Nissan Rouge, Mom has Tesla Model S, Twin has BMW i8

I have Lamborghini Sian FKP 37. Twin and I also had our own motorcycle, for Twin he had the Yamaha YZF-23 and mine that I'm using now

Our family van, park at the guard house garage. That has twenty rooms and private bathrooms. Dad's guards keep watching here day and night, ensuring our safety. Also our family driver, Mang Ben too has his own quarters

Kanya-kanyang yuko ang mga guards na nakahanay sa gilid ng pinarada ko ang motor

"Hindi na ba talaga magbabago ang pakikitungo mo sa kanya?"

I looked at him when he said that. Unreadable. Focused. Not curiousity, just calculation. Like I was cataloging him

"Nasa akin na yon kung babaguhin ko o hindi,"I replied defiantly. Didn't blink. Just me and my unreadable expression

He's looking at me. Like I'm some puzzle to decode,...maybe

"Alam ko na ilang taon din kayong hindi nag-usap, hindi nagkabati-"

"Pwede bang tumahimik ka muna"

I calmly stated. No confusion, just irritation

I looked at him blankly, I read somewhat shock, wonder, and more in his eyes

"You changed....a lot,"he said as if reading my mind

Maybe or just because the damage still fresh

May respeto naman ako kay Dad, despite of everything happened. You can't blame me to be this distant with him. It's been 10 years

I still care, actually still too much. But, I'm giving myself some peace....for now

"I'm just saying that you should reconcile, it's been 10 years Twin"

And that 10 years was always hunting me

"He didn't even care about that, so why would I?,"my words filled with bitterness

"T-Twin-"

"Sana hindi na muna kayo bumalik dito,"I muttered in whisper but he heard. I can see the pain in his eyes. But I remain stoic

"B-bakit ganyan ka? Hindi ka ba masaya na nandito kami?"

That words make a sting in my heart. I am. I am happy. Happy that all of those years, nakita ko na si Dad kahit walang pag-uusap. Happy na bumalik na sila

But the bitterness and pain that still fresh in my heart. The tears that I spend with all those years. The hatred.....

All I want is to be loved. With my father

Tumingin ako kay Twin. Isa pa to. A fucking playboy

"Dapat ba akong maging masaya?,"poker face kong tanong

"U-uhm yeah?"

"Talaga ba? Kasi as far as I know, you didn't even bother answering my calls in 5 months"

Nakatingin lang ako sa kanya. Not cold. Just staring normally

"A-alam mong busy ako sa kompanya,"sabi nya ng hindi tumitingin sakin

I hate liar

"Busy sa kompanya o busy sa pambabae?"

Napaawang ang kanyang labi dahil sa gulat. He didn't expect that

"H-how?"

I stared. Calmly. Like reading him. And I did

"You can't hide everything to me Demonic Reaper"

~ZYKER'S POV~

She knew!

But how?

And she's....intense. No smile. No smirk. Just...cold. Guarded. Dangerous...

"Son, where's your Twin?,"I paused in my thoughts as someone spoke, it's Mom

"Inside, galit sakin"

"Why?,"Mom asked, I'm about to say something when Dad interrupted

"Let her,"he said coldly. I scoffed and glared at him, talaga bang wala syang balak makipagbati kay Twin?

"Yan lang ang masasabi mo? Let her?,"pagak akong tumawa

"Kaya hindi kayo magkakabati ni Twin, kasi ang taas ng pride mo at wala ka ding pakialam sa kanya!,"bwelta ko

"Watch your words Zyker!,"he hissed, but I just glared at him

"Stop it, let's go inside,"Mom said, but none of us moved. I gritted my teeth

"Wala ka ba talagang pakialam sa kanya? Can't you see Dad, she's hurting! So much!,"mariin kong wika, stopping him in his tracks

"You should be the role model! Not to make her feel like she's not your daughter Dad! Pero sa ginawa mo, you make her feel that she's a stranger!,"I couldn't help but shout

His anger flared, he was about to slap me, but a hand stopped him

"Stop,"Twin said blankly, releasing Dad's hand. Nandito na pala sya, I can't even feel her presence earlier....

"This is my house, I can do whatever I want!,"Dad said sharply. Twin just stared at Dad, unwavering

"Not in front of me,"she's calm, calculated. Didn't smile. Not the Twin I used to know. She changed

She looked at me. No softness. Just guarded

"And you, watch your mouth"

"I was just defending you-"

"I don't need it, keep it to yourself,"she said coldly, leaning on her big bike while looking at her watch

"Walang galang,"I heard Dad whisper, hoping she wouldn't heard but Twin didn't waver

She's very composed. Controlled. She didn't pace. She circulated. Like a thought you couldn't shake

Is she still the Twin I know before?

"Pumasok na kayo,"she said calmly, and keep looking at her watch. May hinihintay ba sya?

"I gave you everything, and this is how you repay me?,"Dad retorted suddenly

"Hon, tama na yan. Pumasok na tayo,"Mom said stopping them, but none of them move

Twin gazed at him and clenched her jaw. I can tell she's controlling herself not to burst. And for the first time since I saw her earlier, her control slightly crumble

"Everything? You sure about that? Because as far as I can remember, you didn't,"she said coldly, unfazed

Dad's eyes seems faltered a little but still cold

"I did! I gave you a good life-"

"Good life? Fuck! I don't fucking need a good life! Isa lang ang gusto ko. Can't you understand that!?,"she shouted, surprising us

She sighed. Heavy. Napapikit sya at tumalikod

"If you don't, then shut the fucking hell up"

She got on her big bike as five black cars arrived

She do something in her watch and the gate open as the black cars enter. Ang high tech ng relo nya, may command sya sa gate using her watch

Wala pa ito dito noon. Ang dami na palang nagbago

They parked a few yards away from the garage, and twenty-five black men and women stepped out. Who are they?

One of the men approached Twin and bowed as a sign of respect

"Boss"

What?

"You're fucking 30 minutes late,"she's calm but her voice filled with firmness. In less than a split second, all of them cowered, no one dared to speak

"You already know why you're here,"not a question, just stating fact

"Yes boss, Secondus already brief us,"one of them answered

Secondus, who's that?

"Good. You know what to do. And don't make me repeat myself. Am I clear?"

"Noted boss,"sabay nilang wika

"What's this about? Who are they?,"Dad asked

"Guards"

"For what?"

"Wag ka ng mag tanong,"direkta at walang kabuhay-buhay na wika nya

"Zyrene sweetie what's going on?,"Mom chimed in. Twin loosen a little bit....just barely

"I'll tell you later"

"Zyrene?,"Dad pressed, napahilot si Twin sa kanyang sintido bago tumingin samin

"You were being followed earlier,"she said dryly

"What?,"Dad exclaimed, raising an eyebrow at her

Blanko lang syang nakatingin kay Dad. Yung tingin na mapapalunok ka nalng dahil sa tingin nyang parang pinapatay ka na sa utak nya

Napailing nalang ako. Kailan pa kaya sila magkakabati?

But I still wondered. Paano nya nalaman na may nakasunod kina Mom samantalang nagdadrive sya

Wait a minute, her watch lit up earlier. Was that some kind of a tracker? And this people..

What is she?

"Paano ka nagkaroon ng mga-....?"

"Don't ask too many questions"

Parang kausap ko ang ref dito, ang lamig nya magsalita. She really changed so much

Sinuot na nya ang black leather jacket nya na kanina pa nakasampay sa balikat nya tsaka sinuot ang helmet

San na naman sya pupunta?

"Where are you going?,"tanong ko nalang, malalim na ang gabi pero san na naman to pupunta

"Somewhere,"she sped out of the gate, god, she drives so recklessly

"Yon ba ang tinuro mo sa kanya?"

May gana pa talaga syang magtanong, pero tinaliman lang sya ng tingin ni Mom

"No, ikaw ang dahilan kung bakit sya ganyan. And can you tell them everything Zion or I will"

What?

"You don't know everything!,"mariing sumbat ni Dad

"Wala akong pakialam kung alam ko o hindi, basta ayusin mo ito Zion kung gusto mo pa silang makita! At wag mo talaga akong subukan!,"Mom angrily said as she entered inside

What the fuck is going on?

"Damn it!,"Dad cursed

"What was that Dad?"

"Nothing"

"Dad-"

"Just stay out of this, okay!,"his words dripping with coldness

Okay, I'll stay out of this for now

I turned my back on him and walked towards the tea garden

Suddenly, my phone rang. I delved into my pocket

King calling.......

I picked up

"What's up?"

"HUGW"

That's Xavier Ace Mondragon, our gang leader

"Alright, I'll be there in 10 minutes,"I replied, ending the call. I then headed to the garage to grab my Yamaha YZF-23. I spotted Twin's car, damn, nice car

I have no idea kung paano nya binili ito, I mean yes our parents are rich but she didn't ask money to them to buy this. Nakita nalng namin to isang araw na nandito na sa garage ang car nya na napaka mahal

Anyway, I made a quick stop at our HQ to change before heading to HUGW

"Nice to see you again, Demonic Reaper,"greeted Daredevil Knight/Kyle Blake Montenegro, sitting in his reserved seat

Right, I'm Zyker Demonic Stanford known as Demonic Reaper

"So, how's your training experience in Japan?,"Knight/Kyle asked, since Death still not around yet (we call her Death since her codename is Death Devhell Queen)

"Nakakapagod pero ang daming chikababes dun"

"Certified playboy,"he commented with a laugh, natawa nalng din ako

"Not really, but ang hirap pala maging businessman, nakakapagod"

No wonder Dad always had a stressed look on his face when he came home, being a CEO is not easy, because when there's a problem, it needs to be resolved immediately to prevent the company from collapsing

The CEO and the board of directors discuss what needs to be done, but when some don't agree, big problems arise

"Ganyan talaga kapag magpayaman, pangalawa na nga sa ranking worldwide ang kompanya ng Dad mo"

He's right, Dad's company is second in the ranking, while Z.R Company still leading the way. It's a mystery because we don't even know the slightest bit of information about the owner

The Z.R company, renowned for its opulent wealth, specializes in selling electronic gadgets and high-class appliances and weapons. Their devices are known to be revolutionary, as they introduce new inventions that are yet unseen by the public eye

"Second only, because we can never match the top of the business world. The owner of that company is incredibly formidable,"I remarked

Ang hirap din hagilapin ng CEO sa kompanya na yan dahil palaging nasa business trip o d kaya overseas. Hindi nga din kilala ni Dad kung sino ang CEO kahit na isa sya sa mga investor, dahil kapag may meeting daw palaging ang secretary lang daw nito ang aatend

"It happen many times that the article didn't even mention the name of the owner, just kept saying 'CEO D gave this and that... CEO D won the most something...' it's really secretive,"commented Knight/Blake

"One time I heard someone, na nandito na daw sa pinas ang CEO. First time daw itong nagpakita sa kompanya for how many years"

"And the talk among the employees, the CEO is a young woman, although they don't know her because they said she always disguise herself with a glasses and a thick makeup when entering the office,"said Knight, I raised my eyebrow

Babae? Wow....that was unexpected! I mean, who would have thought that the sole owner of the massive business is a young woman.....that's cool

Pero kung babae, bakit kahit media hindi alam kung sino ang CEO? Is she that dangerous?

Sa pag-uusap namin, naramdaman agad namin ang pagtahimik sa hall, I turned to the stage and swallowed nervously

She's here and clearly pissed off, we can see it in her eyes even if she wears mask

Walang nag-ingay kahit isa, tanging mga paghinga lang ang maririnig sa buong hall

She looked in our direction and the three of us simultaneously swallowed and averted our gaze. Jeez! I feel so nervous and scared right now, kahit nakaupo lang ako

I looked back at her and was shocked to feel that she was piercing me with her gaze

What the hell! Why is she looking at me, did I do anything wrong?

Ilang minuto syang nakatitig sa akin before diverting her eyes. Tangina, nanginig ako dun

"What was that Reaper? Did you do something?,"King asked

"I didn't do anything, I don't know either why she looked at me like that. God, I thought I was going to die from that look,"I whispered

She's really scary tbh......
