Chapter 3 Tired, Let Get Divorce, Mister Aaron'

Aaron leaned his tall body on the back of the car seat. His mind was slightly disturbed by Audrey's phone call saying she wanted a divorce from him. What made his wife suddenly agree to divorce him?

Aaron should feel happy because soon his wish will be realized. He will soon be released from the shackles of the marriage made by his grandfather. A marriage that he didn't want at all.

Just because of that fateful event, he ended up being trapped by marrying Audrey Hepburn, the younger sister of his lover, Stella Hepburn.

However, Audrey's statement actually made the corner of Aaron's heart disturbed.

Inggrid is Audrey's friend and she is her best friend.

She've known her for a very long time. She has been her childhood friend until now.

Inggrid is a figure who is always there for her. For everything, Inggrid always supports her.

There's only one thing Inggrid regrets about why she had to fall in love with someone like Aaron Campbell.

When Audrey said I wanted to marry Aaron, she was the first to oppose it, even though she knew Audrey looked scandalous to that man.

"I changed my mind." Audrey replied calmly.

She leaned back on the bed with a pillow. She condition was already quite good. Some of the medical equipment had been removed from her body.

All that was left was her head, which was still wrapped in bandages.

"In life there are some things that make us have to change. Maybe by circumstance or by force. Whatever it is, I have the right to be happy and make my choices. Let's just say that yesterday I was lost. But now I realize..." she said while smiling sweetly at Inggrid.

"I now realize that Aaron really hates me and wants our divorce. And I just want to grant his request. That's all," she said.

Something rippled painfully in her heart as she said that sentence. It was like swallowing a thousand needles. It was so painful.

She was so stupid and expecting too much. As for Aaron, the man has no heart for her at all. His heart is only for Stella. Not even a little bit, not even a place for her in his heart. How sad.

Audrey smiled wryly at Inggrid's words. "Let's not talk about it anymore."

Inggrid smiled and reached for the orange on the nightstand and peeled it.

"Okay, I'll help you divorce Aaron Campbell and will try to find the best lawyer for you..." she said and pushed the peeled orange into Audrey's mouth.

Audrey chewed the orange. Sweet and fresh. In contrast to her bitter and withered life. Inggrid looked at her, who was busy eating the orange.

"But have you thought about everything, Audrey? "

"How is your future after this divorce...?" Inggrid asked with a worried look on her face.

Audrey sighed. She knew what Inggrid was worried about. She looked at Inggrid sadly.

Inggrid was right. She've sacrificed a lot to marry Aaron. She was even removed from the Hepburn family register.

Audrey smiled even though it was only a faint smile.

She understood Inggrid was worried about her.

"I'll think about it later," Audrey said.

"Why don't you go home to your family, Audrey...?" Inggrid suggested.

Go home? The word felt strange to Audrey ears.

Audrey shook her head and laughed discordantly.

"You can count on me..." Inggrid said. She hugged Audrey lovingly.

Audrey nodded her head. Her chest felt tight. There was a warm feeling flowing in her chest.

"Thank you. "You are indeed my best friend," Audrey said emotionally. She poured her tears on Inggrid's shoulder.

The sound of the door being violently pushed.

Startled, Inggrid and Audrey who were hugging, immediately turned their heads.

Audrey froze, looking at the man standing at the door.
