Chapter 5 BABIES...

I jolted awake, my eyes blinking rapidly to adjust to the blinding white light that flooded the room. The constant beeping of machines filled the air, punctuating the silence. Confusion gripped me as I tried to piece together where I am.

"Averia, where are we?" I called out, but silence answered me. The scent of antiseptic filled the air. I discovered myself in a ward, struggling to understand how I arrived there when a sudden wave of dizziness overwhelmed me. It brought back memories of my rejection and my escape to the human city with the Lycan king's child from that one night-oh! Goddess, my baby! I felt a surge of panic making the beeping of the machines increases making me want to rip the IV from my hand.

It suddenly crashes down to me of what I have done and how alone I am and would go through everything. I haven't noticed the tears falling down my eyes until I heard Elijah spoke, " I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you cry, I was just trying to help you"

I'm such a cry baby I said, sniffing and trying to stop my tears.

"Don't apologize, I will help you in every way I can, so please don't cry anymore, come on let's go"
