Chapter 4 HER.. KNIGHTS

"Grey, please--"

"Cut the dramatics," he said in a bossy tone then as they reached the door, he muttered "Open" , and the door did open widely. Then he faced her and said, "Get out. Now."

But she didn't oblige. Instead, she gently clinged into his arm. She saw his dark brown eyes blazed in unbearable anger when she did that. But she doesn't care about his temper at all. Because all she had in mind at that moment was for him to have a heart for her. Even just for a swift moment. Until she couldn't help it anymore. Those tears that she strongly controlled earlier just bursted out uncontrollably at that very moment. Mixed emotions filled her heart as she started sobbing. Her promotion, her job, his painful treatment towards her. And her sin for leaving him.. Six years ago, that made him so heartless and cold towards her.

"G-Grey.. Please.." She begged and started weeping in front of him. He heard him sighed in irritation.

"Reindelle--"

"Please, Grey.. Please.. I need this promotion.."

"And I don't care, Reigndelle! Whether it's an assignment, or a project, or even a fucking matter of a freaking life and death situation, I don't care! I don't care at all! I'm done helping a worthless and ungrateful person six years ago and I'm not gonna do that again with the same person! Now fix yourself and go home!" he snapped angrily.

But still, she dared not to listen to him. She just keeps on weeping there while clinging on his arm. She was so close to hugging him that moment. How time flies so fast indeed. For if before, he was his Prince who was always there to wipe her tears away if she cries, now, he was the reason behind it. And how painful is that for her part.

"Goddammit, Reigndelle! Will you stop crying in front of me?!"

She's still sobbing softly while she raised her face to meet his gaze but she immediately wiped her tears away her hand and said, "G-Grey, please.. I.. I really need this a-assignment.. If I fail on this one--"

Grey rolled his eyes. "Oh come on, Reigndelle! Which part of what I said can't you fucking understand?! I said I don't care, I don't wanna help you, now fix yourself up, get out and don't-- What the hell are you doing here?"

She stopped from sobbing and looked at his sharp raging gaze that's now focused behind her. She turned around and saw Green standing behind her with a calmed aura while staring back at Grey.

"G-Green?" was all she could say that moment so Green diverted his gaze to her. Then she gasped for previous breath when he gently grabbed her right arm away from Grey and gently pressed her body to his and said in a warning voice..

"You're being ungentleman, Grey.."

For a fleeting moment, she thought she saw Grey's eyes flared up when Green grabbed her away from his grip. But it instantly turned into a blank stare after a second. Then Grey's facial expression became formal, gone was the outrageous look on his eyes.

"And you're being self centered. Now I'm asking you again. What the hell are you doing here?"

"Me being here is not really the main issue here, Grey. But on how you acted towards her despite her situation. Now tell me, are you that heartless, Grey? Even for a woman you were so in love back then?"

Reigndelle was totally shocked of everything Green just said. But was shocked even more when unexpectedly, Grey harshly grabbed her by her arm so she swiftly landed on his body.

"Careful, Grey!" In glaring eyes, Green yelled at Grey.

But Grey didn't seem to care. Instead, he pressed her body more to his as if she's a toy that he never want to share to his brother. She blinked innocently. Okay. What's wrong with him? She's grateful though, for noticing that there are no employees passing by the hallway on that floor of the building. Because if there is any, she would probably melt there in no time due to embarrassment because people there might think that who does she thinks she is for making the CEO and COO of A.G. TOWER argue because of her? And she probably won't like that issue.

"What I acted towards her is not your business anymore, Green. Now go away."

Green scoffed. "I'm taking her with me then."

"She's staying here." Grey said firmly.

"And continue hurting her? No way, Grey. So let her go."

"We have important matters to discuss about, Green. And your disturbing us. So better go alone now and don't drag her with you."

Green laughed in between amusement and insultment. "Oh come on, Grey. Based on what I saw and heard earlier when I get here, you want her to leave this company already. And now that I'm here to take her away from your wrath, the blow of the wind has changed. And another thing, as what I've heard, you already disgreed on her plea. But now that I'm here to get her already, you finally agreed," then with a meaningful smile, Green added, "I smell something fishy, Grey.. Did you smell that too?"

'Oh Jesus, Green, what are you saying? Seriously?' Reigndelle unbelievably complained on her thoughts. That moment, she just want the floor to just crack open and swallow her whole. She's profusely ashamed from head to toe already.

Then she heard Grey's voice saying, "You're right, little brother. There's something fishy in here. But unfotunately it's not coming from me, but it's coming from you." Grey even flashed a meaningful smile upon saying that.

"Really now? Well it doesn't matter who's smell does it came from. What matters most is that, which smell would Reigndelle choose upon.."

Grey grinned mockingly. "Yeah.. Let's just see about that, little brother."

She closed her eyes tightly. But she made up her mind already.

"So what's it gonna be now, Reigndelle?" that's Green's voice.

"Him? Or your promotion?" that's Grey's voice.

She sighed heavily, for she perfectly know so well what would be her decision. And just like she said before..

'It's now or never.'
