The safe house was nothing like what Selena had imagined. Tucked into the hills outside the city, it looked more like an abandoned estate than a sanctuary. Ivy crawled up the stone walls, and the gates groaned when they opened. The wind whispered secrets through cracked windows, and for a moment, Selena wondered if they had stepped into another kin
