Chapter 3 The Warning

Davien's eyes seemed to bore into Zaliyah's soul as he spoke, his voice low and serious. "We've received a message from one of our sources within the DiMarco organization," he said. "They're planning something big, something that could affect our family's business and our lives." Zaliyah felt a surge of fear as she realized the gravity of the situation. She had always known that the DiMarcos were a powerful and ruthless organization, but she had never thought that they would pose a direct threat to her family. "What is it?" Zaliyah asked, trying to sound calm.

"We don't know yet," Grayson said, his eyes narrowing. "But we need to be prepared for anything. We can't let our guard down, not even for a moment."
