Chapter 5 Ruby evil plan

The Next Morning

"Karie! Karie! Karie!" The sound of my name is called echoed through my dreamlike state. I opened my eyes slowly and realized it was already morning. The soft sunlight was creeping through the curtains, casting a warm glow in my room. I turned my head to find my mum standing there, watching me with a kind smile.

"Good morning, Mum," I greeted her, my voice still thick with sleep.

"Morning, Karie. How was your night? Hope you slept well," she said, her voice filled with concern and affection.

"Yes, Mum," I replied, rubbing my eyes. "I slept well."

"I decided to come and wake you up early so you won't be late for work today," she said, brushing a strand of hair away from my face.

"Okay, Mum. Thanks," I said, feeling a rush of warmth in my chest. It was like she always knew exactly what I needed.

"Now, get ready, and let me go prepare breakfast for you," she said, already walking toward the kitchen. "You need to eat something before you head out."

I loved my mum. She always took care of me, never wanting me to be stressed, especially because of my work schedule. She was the one who cooked most of the meals, and I was grateful for it. I didn't mind, though. I knew how hard she worked to make sure I had everything I needed. I smiled to myself, feeling lucky to have her.

I hurriedly got out of bed, took a quick shower, and then rummaged through my wardrobe for something to wear. I pulled out a long blue gown, one I hadn't worn in a while. It was simple but comfortable. I paired it with an old pair of slippers and wrapped a scarf around my hair to keep it out of my face. I wasn't trying to impress anyone today-just wanted to feel cozy and ready to tackle the day.

After getting dressed, I went to the kitchen to find my breakfast waiting for me. A steaming plate of pasta sat on the table, and I dug in, savoring each bite. It wasn't anything fancy, but it tasted like home. Once I finished eating, I grabbed my things and left the house, ready to face the day.

When I reached the restaurant, I checked my watch and was relieved to see that I was early. I smiled, thinking to myself, Clara's going to be late again. She always was, but that was part of her charm.

I quickly changed into my uniform and got to work, serving customers and managing the orders. The usual hustle and bustle filled my day, but I didn't mind. It kept me busy, and I was used to it by now.

Ruby's POV (One of Tyler's Girlfriends)

That idiot thinks he'll use me and dump me? The thought boiled inside me as I paced around my apartment, my heels clicking against the floor. Tyler had made a mistake by thinking he could play with me. No way. I wasn't some naive girl who could be tossed aside when he was done with me.

"I will make him marry me," I muttered under my breath, a dangerous grin spreading across my face. "There's no way he's getting away with it."

The more I thought about it, the more my resolve solidified. Tyler needed to be with me-he had no other choice. We had a connection, and I was the one who understood him the most.

I had heard his father tell him that he needed to get married before his birthday, and the pressure was mounting. Perfect, I thought. He won't have a choice but to marry me. He'll see that I'm the only one who's right for him.

I stopped pacing for a moment and thought. What's the next step? I needed to make sure Tyler knew I wasn't going anywhere, and it was time to make my presence known.

"I'll go to his office today," I decided, speaking aloud to myself. "I miss him, and I'm sure he misses me too. I'll remind him of how good we are together."

I ran a hand through my hair, already planning my next move. Maybe I should focus on his family. His mother knows me well. If I can get closer to her, maybe I'll be able to prove to her that I'm the right one for Tyler.

I smirked. Yes. I'll make her trust me. I'll show her what a good wife I would be. I'll get everything I want, starting with Tyler's heart.

Tyler's birthday was coming up fast, and I couldn't wait to see the look on his face when he realized just how serious I was. There was no escaping this. Tyler, get ready for your new wife, I thought with a laugh. You won't regret it.

Karie's POV

Later in the Evening...

Clara and I were on our way to the concert. The cab ride was filled with laughter as Clara rambled on about how excited she was to see Tyler perform live. Her enthusiasm was contagious, and I found myself looking forward to the show as well.

When we arrived at the venue, we were greeted by a massive crowd. People were lined up outside, chatting excitedly, some with posters and merchandise, others just talking about how amazing the concert was going to be. The energy was electric.

"Wow, this place is packed!" I said, trying to weave my way through the crowd. Clara was beside me, practically bouncing on her toes.

"I know! Can you believe we're actually here?" she exclaimed. "I've been waiting for this for months!"

We finally made our way inside, but the crowd inside was even worse. It was like being caught in a sea of people, all pushing and shoving to get a better view. I could barely move without someone stepping on my foot or bumping into me.

"Clara, I can barely breathe," I said, my voice a bit higher than usual as I tried to stay calm.

Clara was laughing uncontrollably. "This is amazing!" she said, oblivious to how cramped we were.

I sighed but couldn't help but smile at her excitement. We managed to find a small spot near the front, and after a bit of jostling, we settled in to wait for Tyler. The anticipation in the room was palpable, and I couldn't help but feel a rush of adrenaline. This was going to be unforgettable.

The lights suddenly dimmed, and the entire crowd erupted in cheers. Tyler stepped out onto the stage, and the room went wild. People screamed, some crying, some shouting his name, and I could feel the excitement building up inside me.

Then, just as Tyler was about to speak, something unexpected happened. A girl in the crowd suddenly collapsed, falling to the floor with a loud thud. The room went silent for a moment, and everyone's attention shifted to the unconscious girl.

I watched in shock as security rushed over to her, lifting her and quickly carrying her away. "Is she okay?" I whispered to Clara, my eyes following the security team.

"I don't know," Clara said, her expression was serious for the first time that night. "She must've been overwhelmed."

I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. Why would someone faint because of Tyler? I thought, my mind racing. Is she okay? Is this part of something bigger?

The crowd began to settle, and Tyler finally spoke. "Thank you all for being here tonight," he said, his voice calm but powerful. The crowd roared again, and I found myself caught up in the wave of energy, but a small voice inside me couldn't shake the unease that had settled in my stomach.

Clara grabbed my arm and squeezed it. "Don't worry," she said with a smile. "Everything's fine."

But I wasn't so sure. There was something about tonight, about the girl who fainted, and about Tyler's presence, that didn't sit right with me.

To be continued...
