Chapter 7 The Warning

The wolf king's eyes seemed to bore into Akira's soul as he gazed at her. "A warning from whom?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. The wolf king's expression turned grim. "From the rogue pack," he said. "They do not recognize my claim on you, and they will stop at nothing to take you for themselves." Akira felt a surge of fear, but the wolf king's presence beside her gave her courage. "Do not worry, my mate," he said, his voice low and husky. "I will protect you. But we must be careful. The rogue pack is led by a powerful and ruthless alpha." Akira's eyes widened in alarm.

"What's his name?" she asked. The wolf king's expression turned cold. "His name is Ryker," he said. "And he will stop at nothing to get what he wants." As the wolf king spoke, Akira felt a shiver run down her spine. She had never felt so vulnerable in her life. But the wolf king's presence beside her gave her courage, and she knew that she could trust him with her life. As they walked, the wolf king told her more about the rogue pack and their leader, Ryker. Akira listened intently, eager to learn as much as she could. But as the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the forest, Akira felt a sense of unease creeping over her. She glanced over her shoulder, but saw nothing. The wolf king's eyes flicked to hers, and he growled softly. "What is wrong, my mate?" he asked. Akira hesitated, unsure of how to explain the feeling of unease that had settled over her. But before she could respond, a figure emerged from the shadows. It was a woman, tall and imposing, with piercing green eyes. "Akira," she said, her voice low and husky. "I see you've found your mate." Akira felt a surge of surprise, but the wolf king's presence beside her gave her courage. "Who are you?" Akira asked, her voice firm. The woman smiled, her eyes glinting with amusement. "I am Lyra," she said. "And I am here to warn you, Akira. The rogue pack is not the only danger that lurks in the shadows."
