Chapter 3 The Intruder.

Maya's eyes were fixed on the figure, her mind racing with fear. Who was this person? And what did they want?

As the figure stepped closer, Maya saw that it was a woman. She was tall and gaunt, with long silver hair that cascaded down her back like a river of moonlight.

The woman's eyes were fixed on Liam, and Maya could see the hunger in their depths. It was a hunger that made Maya's skin crawl.

"Liam, snap out of it!" Maya shouted, trying to break the spell that seemed to have been cast over him.

But Liam didn't move. He just stood there, frozen in place, as the woman reached out and touched his face.

Maya felt a surge of jealousy at the touch, and she knew that she had to act fast. She couldn't let this woman harm Liam.

With a fierce determination, Maya launched herself at the woman, pushing her away from Liam.

The woman's eyes flashed with anger, but Maya stood her ground. "Leave him alone," she growled.

The woman's gaze locked onto Maya's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. Then, with a sudden movement, the woman turned and disappeared into the night.

Maya turned to Liam, her heart still racing with fear. "Liam, are you okay?" she asked, shaking him gently.

Liam's eyes slowly focused, and he looked up at Maya. "Maya?" he whispered, his voice husky with confusion.

Maya's heart skipped a beat as Liam's eyes locked onto hers. She could see the confusion in their depths, but she could also see something else - something that looked almost like... attraction.

"Liam, I'm here," Maya said softly, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'm not going anywhere."

Liam's gaze never wavered, and Maya could feel the tension between them building. It was like the whole world had melted away, leaving only the two of them.

And then, without thinking, Maya leaned in and pressed her lips to Liam's. It was a soft, gentle kiss, but it sent shivers down Maya's spine.

Liam's arms wrapped around her, pulling her close. "Maya," he whispered, his voice full of emotion.

As they kissed, Maya felt like she was home. She felt like she had found the one person who truly understood her.

And as they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, Maya knew that she would never let Liam go...

As they kissed, Maya felt a sense of connection with Liam. It was like their love and desire for each other burning brighter with every passing moment.

Liam's hands roamed over her body, sending shivers down her spine. Maya felt like she was melting into his touch, her passion and desire for him burning out of control.

As they stood there, lost in their kiss, Maya felt a sense of safety and security that she had never known before.

But as the kiss deepened, Maya felt a sudden jolt of fear. What if Liam didn't feel the same way? What if he was just using her for his own purposes?

Maya's eyes snapped open, and she pulled away from Liam, her heart racing with uncertainty.

Liam's eyes locked onto hers, and he smiled. "Maya, what's wrong?" he asked, his voice low and husky.

Maya took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart. "I don't know if I can trust you," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Liam's expression turned serious, and he reached out to take Maya's hand. "I know I haven't been honest with you, Maya," he said. "But I promise you, I'm not using you. I care about you deeply."

Maya's heart skipped a beat as she looked into Liam's eyes. She saw the sincerity there, and she knew that she could trust him.

"I care about you too, Liam," she said, her voice soft.

Liam's face lit up with a smile, and he pulled Maya into his arms. "I'm so glad to hear that, Maya," he whispered, his lips brushing against her ear.

As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, Maya knew that she had made the right decision. She had found someone who truly cared about her, someone who would do anything to protect her.

And as they stood there, lost in their own little world, Maya knew that she would never let Liam go. She would fight to the death to protect him, to keep him safe from harm.

Because in that moment, Maya knew that she had found her soulmate. She had found the one person who truly understood her, the one person who would love her for all eternity...

As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, Maya felt a sense of peace wash over her. She knew that she had found someone special, someone who would stand by her side no matter what.

"I want you, Maya," Liam whispered, his lips brushing against her ear. "I want you more than anything."

Maya's heart skipped a beat as she looked up at Liam. She saw the desire in his eyes, and she knew that she felt the same way.

"I want you too, Liam," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

But as the kiss deepened, Maya felt a sudden jolt of fear. What if they were caught? What if someone saw them?

Liam seemed to sense her fear, and he pulled away, his eyes locking onto hers. "Don't worry, Maya," he whispered. "We're safe here. No one will bother us."

Maya nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She knew that she could trust Liam and that he would do anything to keep her safe.

And as they stood there, lost in their own little world, Maya knew that she would never forget this moment. She would never forget the way Liam made her feel, the way he loved her with all his heart.

Because in that moment, Maya knew that she had found her forever love. She had found the one person who would stand by her side, no matter what...

As the night wore on, Maya and Liam's passion for each other only grew stronger. They stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, their love and desire for each other burning brighter with every passing moment.

But as the first light of dawn began to creep over the horizon, Liam's expression turned serious. "Maya, we need to talk," he said, his voice low and husky.

Maya's heart skipped a beat as she looked up at Liam. "What's wrong?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Liam's eyes locked onto hers, and he took a deep breath. "I have something to tell you, Maya," he said. "Something that could change everything."

Maya's mind was racing with possibilities. What could Liam possibly have to tell her that could change everything?

But before she could ask any questions, Liam's eyes seemed to glaze over, and he stumbled backward as if he had been pushed.

Maya's heart skipped a beat as she reached out to catch him. "Liam, what's wrong?" she cried, her voice filled with fear.

But Liam didn't respond. He just stood there, his eyes frozen in a distant stare.

And then, just as suddenly as it had started, everything went black.

Maya's world went dark, and she felt herself falling, falling, falling into a deep, dark abyss.

When she came to, Maya was lying on the floor, her head throbbing with pain. Liam was nowhere to be found, but there was a note on the floor beside her.

"Maya, I'm sorry," the note read. "I have to go. Please don't try to find me."

Maya's heart skipped a beat as she read the note. What had happened to Liam? And why had he left her?

Determined to find out, Maya scrambled to her feet, her eyes scanning the room for any sign of Liam.

But he was gone, vanished into thin air.

And Maya was left alone, with only her questions and her fears to keep her company...

Maya's eyes scanned the room frantically, but there was no sign of Liam. She felt a wave of panic wash over her as she realized that he was really gone.

She stumbled out of the cabin, into the bright sunlight. The forest was quiet and still, with no sign of Liam anywhere.

Maya's heart was racing as she called out Liam's name. "Liam! Liam, where are you?"

But there was no response. The only sound was the echo of her own voice off the trees.

Maya's eyes filled with tears as she realized that Liam was really gone. She had no idea where he was or why he had left.

As she stood there, feeling helpless and alone, Maya heard a rustling in the bushes. She spun around, her heart racing with fear.

And then, she saw it. A piece of paper, fluttering to the ground.

Maya's heart skipped a beat as she picked up the paper. It was a note, written in Liam's handwriting.

"Maya, I'm sorry," the note read. "I had to leave. But I'll be back. And next time, I won't be alone."

Maya's eyes widened in fear as she read the note. What did Liam mean? And who would he be bringing with him?

As she stood there, frozen in fear, Maya heard a faint rustling in the bushes. It was a low, menacing sound, and it seemed to be getting closer...

And then, everything went black.
