Chapter 5 Morning view

So do you like him? Ella asked and Myra rolled her eyes and said .

Seriously, Ella?

What's your problem girl?

"I just met him today ,so I don't know if I like him yet.

But he seems like a nice guy Ella said.

Ella you just met this guy, and you are already singing his praises.Myra said and Ella chuckled.

Later that day Myra was in the kitchen cooking.

Cooking is one of her hobbies, she loves cooking a lot mostly jollof rice her favorite meal.

That was one of the things she learnt from Sophia.

Sophia wasn't just a house help, she was also a professional chef.

Myra learnt everything about cooking from her.

Myra you have a call , Ella said from the living room.

Myra came to the living room and Ella said it's Davis. She clicked accept on the screen and said "Hello"

Hey Davis replied.

Good evening they both said at exactly the same time.

And Myra could hear Davis chuckle at the other end.

Are you busy? Davis asked.

No I'm not Myra replied.

Is anything them matter? Myra asked him

No I just called to check up on you .The latter said

Oh I'm fine Myra said.

And what about your friend ?

Myra glanced at Ella who was blushing on her behalf and said she is fine.

The call went on , Davis was obviously trying to prolong the conversation.

But after five minutes the call finally ended after they said their goodbyes.

After hanging up Myra was about to leave when Ella called her"Mrs Davis"

Ella please don't start, Myra said to Ella .Who was looking at her with eyes full of something I couldn't really read.

Later at night.............

I really don't know why I don't see Davis as a guy maybe because he's fair I said to myself...............

That night Myra kept day dreaming about her prince charming. Who was nothing like Davis .

Finally she fell asleep.

Myra woke up the next morning feeling refreshed.

She checked her clock and it was still five'o 'clock so she decided to jog a bit.

She got up ,took a quick bath and changed into a jogging suit..

She came downstairs where Ella was already waiting for her.

They both had plans to jog that day .

Myra was wearing a pair of purple shorts and purple top .With a pair of black sneakers.

While Ella was wearing a pair of pink shorts and pink singlet, also with a pair of black sneakers.

Good morning Ella said.

Good morning love Myra replied.

Are you ready?

Yup Myra said.

Ok let's go.

With that the two girls came out and started jogging.

They jogged for just five minutes.

And then Mira saw a familiar figure across the road.

Isn't that . . . . . . .

Davis yh that's Davis Myra said .

Davis equally saw them and came over .

Hi ladies Davis said.

Hello both Myra and Ella replied.

I didn't know you lived here Ella said to Davis .

Yh I do live in this estate , I moved in recently.

Ok was all she said.

Can I join you girls ? Davis asked.

Yh sure Myra replied.

And with that the three of them continued jogging together.

Davis kept asking questions about Myra and Ella kept replying.

They were chatting, laughing,and jogging at the same time .

They jogged for thirty minutes, and they decided to stop.

They stopped by their house gate .

And Davis left after saying goodbye to the girls.

Myra are you okay? Ella asked as they walked in.

"Yh I'm fine "she replied.

Myra sat down on the sofa in the living room and Ella did the same thing.

Baby you don't look ok to me , Ella said looking worried.

Myra's breathing became haggard and shallow.

And she was wheezing.

Oh no you're having a asthma attack.

Ella said with worry written all over her face.

She hurriedly went downstairs and brought Myra's inhaler.

Myra inhaled twice and she was better.

Her breathing became a bit stable.

And she went upstairs to prepare for school.

Myra went into her room and , closed the door ,and layed on her bed thinking about her life.

She has been having asthma attacks since she has been having asthma attacks since she was five years old .

Her inhaler had become a part of her since then .

That's the reason her mom wants her to live together with Ella,so she would always have a family member to help her out when she has serious asthma attacks.

The last serious asthma attack landed her in the hospital and she stayed there for three weeks.

Her mother usually doesn't take her to the hospital, Myra also has a private doctor,who is different from their family doctor.

He only treats Myra,for her asthma.

Myra got up from the bed ,and went to prepare for school.
