Chapter 5 Hatred

Moments later, Christian had dressed again, exuding a cold and satisfied demeanor. Meanwhile, Moon covered herself with a blanket, her body trembling, her mind consumed by the pain and devastation she had just endured.

Christian approached Moon, possessively touching her head and smiling triumphantly. "I am very satisfied tonight," he said in a low but firm voice. "From now on, you are my woman, and only mine. I will keep my promise-no one will ever hurt you," he continued before forcing a kiss onto Moon's face.

With all her strength, Moon pushed him away, feeling disgusted by every touch. "Don't touch me!" she screamed hysterically, tears streaming down her cheeks.

Under the blanket, Moon sobbed in sorrow and despair, unable to look at the man who had just violated her. Her cries echoed through the room, reflecting her devastation and helplessness.

Christian's sharp gaze fell upon her, his expression darkening in anger at Moon's rejection. "Do you find me disgusting?" he asked in a controlled but furious tone.

"Yes, you are absolutely disgusting. I hate you," Moon answered, her voice breaking from the sobs, her eyes filled with anguish.

Christian shook his head with a smirk. "What a pity. I will always be in your life," he said coldly before finally leaving the room.

In her rage, Moon threw a pillow at him, her heart burning with fury and despair. "Go away... go away!" she screamed desperately, her voice echoing between her sobs.

Outside the room, Christian halted for a moment, glancing back before delivering his final warning. "Moon, just wait. I will make you submit to me," he declared with certainty before walking away, leaving Moon in ruin and fear.

That night, Moon cried herself to sleep. She muffled her sobs so her frail grandmother wouldn't hear. The memory of what Christian had done haunted her-his smile, his kiss, and his touch lingered in her mind.

"Disgusting!" Moon muttered, her voice trembling with hatred.

The next morning, loud noises erupted outside. Moon woke up after crying the whole night. Her eyes were swollen, her face pale. She rose and walked to the bathroom, standing in front of the sink, feeling overwhelmed by shame and destruction. Tears streamed down her already wet cheeks.

"Grandma must never find out about this. She would be heartbroken. I have to endure this," she whispered, washing her face with cold water, hoping to wash away even a fraction of the pain.

Meanwhile, outside, several villagers' homes were being demolished by two heavy machines. Men in black suits restrained the villagers and resorted to violence against them. Neither the elderly nor the young were spared.

"Aahhh!" The screams of pain filled the air. Men and women were beaten mercilessly, and even children cried out in fear and agony.

An elderly woman was pushed to the ground and kicked by one of Christian Kim's company enforcers.

Rushing outside, Moon witnessed the scene with her own eyes. Her heart shattered seeing her neighbors' suffering. She screamed desperately, "Stop! Stop this!" She tried to push them away and stop the violence but was shoved to the ground harshly.

"Christian Kim promised he wouldn't evict us!" Moon shouted, her voice hoarse, trying to fight the injustice before her.

"Manager Kim ordered us to remove you and flatten this entire village," one of the men replied coldly, without a trace of sympathy.

Moon was shocked by the answer, but before she could react further, she heard a voice she knew all too well. "Moon..." It was her grandmother's weak, frail voice. Her face was pale, her body struggling to hold on.

"Grandma..." Moon cried out, rushing to her. She pushed away the man who had kicked her grandmother, her face soaked with tears.

"Grandma! Grandma!" she called out, lifting her frail grandmother into her arms. The old woman's face was bruised and pale, her mouth stained with blood.

A paralyzing fear took hold of Moon-fear of losing the only family she had left. She held her grandmother tightly, trying to give her warmth and strength, though she herself was on the verge of despair.

Her grandmother was barely breathing, her eyes filled with unshed tears, enduring the pain that ravaged her fragile body. With the last bit of strength she had, she tried to lift her trembling hand to touch her granddaughter's face. But before her frail fingers could reach Moon's cheek, her eyes closed, and her hand fell limp to the ground-lifeless.

"Grandma!" Moon's cry of anguish echoed as she grasped her grandmother's face, clutching her cold hands tightly. "Grandma, wake up... Grandma, open your eyes. Please don't leave me..." Her voice shattered the silence, filled with helplessness and grief.

Moon's heart-wrenching cries made all of Christian's men pause in their actions.

"That's enough for today. Manager Kim has given you all one week. By then, you must leave this place. If not, your lives will be at stake," one of them warned coldly, void of compassion.

The villagers, severely injured, lay helpless, their bodies covered in blood and pain. Women and children sobbed hysterically, clinging to each other in fear and despair, bearing the weight of loss and looming threats.

Moon remained there, cradling her grandmother's lifeless body, her own trembling in deep sorrow. Her tears flowed endlessly, wetting her grandmother's now peaceful face.

"Grandma, don't leave me alone. I beg you..." Moon's voice cracked, gazing at her grandmother's face with overwhelming grief and hopelessness.

Days later, Moon's grandmother was cremated in a quiet and simple ceremony. Many villagers came, sharing in Moon's deep sorrow. The ceremony was silent, accompanied only by soft sobs and whispered prayers.

With tears streaming down her face, Moon scattered her grandmother's ashes into the sea. She stood by the shore, the cool ocean breeze brushing against her tear-streaked cheeks.

"Grandma, rest in peace. I will follow you after I settle things here. I won't let you go just like that," she vowed to herself, strengthening her resolve amid her unbearable pain.

That night, Moon sat in the living room, lost in grief. In just one day, her life had been turned upside down. Everything had happened so fast, so brutally-she had been violated, and she had lost the one person she loved most.

Christian Kim's face appeared in her mind, igniting a raging fire of hatred within her. "Christian Kim, because of you, I lost my dignity and my grandmother. Before I follow her, I will kill you with my own hands," she murmured, her voice filled with vengeance.

She reached for a pair of scissors on the table, gripping them tightly with trembling hands. In her heart, she had already made her decision. There was no turning back. Only one goal remained-revenge.
