Chapter 2 Christian's Request

The man gazed at Moon with a gentle smile, but there was a mysterious glint in his eyes. "What's your name, little girl?" he asked, his voice calm yet carrying a hidden threat.

Moon straightened her posture, meeting his gaze without fear. "My name is Moon. Please stop all of this. Don't hurt the villagers," she said firmly.

The man's smile widened as he nodded slowly. "Moon, a beautiful name. The lovely moon. I like it. I can release them, but on one condition-you must obey my command!"

Moon swallowed hard, trying to remain calm. "What do you want?" she asked, her voice steadier than she felt inside.

The man stepped closer, lowering his head until he was near her ear. "Remember my name well! Christian Kim, a pure Korean descendant raised in New York. We will meet again," he whispered with a meaningful smile before turning and walking away.

Christian Kim then left, abandoning Moon and the villagers in confusion. His men followed behind him, and within moments, they had all vanished, leaving the village in an eerie silence filled with tension.

An elderly woman, one of the villagers, approached Moon with a questioning expression. "Moon, what did he say? Why did they leave just like that?" she asked worriedly.

Moon shook her head, trying to process what had just happened. "He made a request, but he didn't say what he wanted," she replied, her eyes still fixed on the direction where Christian had disappeared.

A middle-aged man, one of the village elders, nodded firmly. "Moon, whatever he asks for, don't agree to it!" he warned, his voice filled with both authority and concern.

Moon gave a small smile, though she felt immense pressure inside. "Yes, Uncle, Aunt," she answered, trying to reassure them. But deep inside, she knew this was only the beginning of something much bigger and more dangerous.

Meanwhile, at the luxurious Kim family mansion, Christian sat in the living room with his father-a man with an authoritative presence-and his older brother, a sharp-eyed, ambitious man.

"Aren't you supposed to acquire that village land? Why didn't you succeed? Did they stop you?" Christian's older brother asked, his tone accusatory.

Christian smirked, twirling his car keys in his hand. "I changed my mind. Something else caught my interest," he answered casually.

His father frowned, dissatisfied with the response. "What made you change your mind?" he demanded.

Christian stood up from the couch, looking at his family with unwavering confidence. "Don't worry! I'll take care of it," he declared before heading up the stairs, leaving behind an air of mystery that silenced his family.

"Father, is Christian causing trouble again?" asked his brother.

"Calvin, keep an eye on your brother!" Jorge, their father, ordered.

"Understood!" Calvin responded obediently.

Moon walked out of her house in high spirits, happily pedaling her bicycle down the quiet road. Her mind was filled with plans for the day's shopping.

However, her excitement quickly faded when two sharply dressed men approached her. "Miss!" one of them called respectfully.

Moon eyed them warily. "Why are you here? Are you still trying to drive us out?" she questioned.

One of the men answered calmly, "Miss, the young master wishes to meet you."

Moments later, Moon was brought to a wooden house nestled at the foot of a mountain. There, Christian awaited her arrival, his usual smile on his lips. Though his emotions were never easy to read, his smile always seemed to mask whatever he truly felt inside.

Moon eyed Christian cautiously. "What do you want?" she asked bluntly.

Christian, still smiling, gestured. "No need to rush. Sit down first."

Moon hesitated before finally sitting across from Christian.

Christian started the conversation in a light tone. "I want to make my request."

Moon narrowed her eyes at him. "On what basis are you making a request? The village land doesn't belong to you," she stated firmly.

Christian chuckled lightly before responding, "We were planning to buy it at a high price. But now, I've changed my mind. I can let the village keep the land... as long as you grant my wish."

Moon became even more alert. "What wish?" she asked coldly.

Christian leaned in, gazing at her with an unreadable expression. "I want..." He paused for a moment, building tension. Then, he whispered in her ear, "I want you to be my woman."

The request shocked Moon, rendering her speechless. She could hardly believe what she had just heard.

Christian continued, "Be mine, and they can stay here for as long as they want."

Moon looked at him in disbelief. "Crazy! What a ridiculous request from a man. That's funny!" she scoffed, trying to mask her fear.

Christian wasn't bothered by her reaction. "Funny? I'm serious," he said, his face turning more serious. "I can do whatever I want. And I always get what I want-including you," he added with a sinister smile.

"I would rather die than become your woman!" Moon declared firmly.

Christian smirked, full of confidence. "There's no use resisting me," he said casually.

Moon stepped closer, her sharp eyes locked onto his. "Listen carefully, Christian Kim. That land has been home to the villagers for decades. It's where they spend their old age. Just because you have money doesn't mean you can act however you please!"

Christian gazed at Moon with a calm yet intense expression. "I won't evict them... unless you agree to take their place," he said, his stare unyielding.

Before long, Moon began to feel dizzy, her vision blurring. Before she could grasp what was happening, her body weakened, and she collapsed, her head resting on the table in front of her.

Christian looked down at the unconscious girl with a victorious expression.

He approached her, gently touching her face, then smiled. "I told you-I always get what I want," he murmured softly yet with absolute certainty. A sinister smirk played on his lips, as if he had planned this all along.
