Chapter 3 Saving Someone

Elara couldn't help but dazed off when she remembered that man's appearance. He was really so good looking that one would think God had spent more time carving out his features.

He was really tall. When she stood to her full height, she could only reach his nose. His pair of powerful arms had helped her to regain his footing.

How cliche. Elara couldn't help but mused. Even for a minor actress like her who had read a lot of scripts, it was a cliche meeting. However, no matter how good looking he was, it was no longer relevant to her.

They probably wouldn't meet again.

It was just that she found it strange. She had followed the exact route she had taken in her previous life. There wasn't that man there, nor his car. The place seemed to be a parking lot reserved for certain people.

"Sir, are you okay?"

"I will bring you to the hospital." Elara said, as if the man could hear her.

She had just experienced the most unbelievable thing a day ago and didn't have much time to sort out her thoughts. There were many details that she had also forgotten; her memory wasn't that good.

However, looking at the face of this man who was lying on the hospital bed, she couldn't help but find him familiar. He looked so young, probably only a few years older than her.

The exhaustion on his face was very clear.

There was one point that made Elara remember this man so much; he was one of Eleanor's suitors.

He even confessed that he found her as a heartwarming person. All because she had saved him once. Tsk, this man really could say anything. He just hadn't had the chance to take a glimpse at the girl's viper heart.

One point was worth pondering. He said that Eleanor saved him. But when...?

She suddenly had an outrageous conjecture.

Before she could mull over it further, she heard the ringtone of someone calling through her phone. Her lips curled up, feeling slightly funny inside.

"Sister, where are you?" Eleanor's voice rang out from the other side as soon as she picked up.

"Somewhere, I am not sure..." She made a sigh, with a hint of frustration in her voice.

There was a brief silence before Eleanor asked her again. "Did you get lost somewhere, sister?"

"I think so. I don't know where I am," Elara muttered in annoyance.

She managed to recall some details she had forgotten now. At this time, when Eleanor called her, she told her honestly that she was in a hospital after rescuing a man. When she heard that she was accompanying him, Eleanor reminded her of the audition.

Elara left before the man woke up, because she was afraid that she might be late for the audition.

Eleanor must have come here, and after the man woke up, he mistook her as his savior. Elara couldn't help but click her tongue. It was no wonder that Eleanor quickly surpassed her in the entertainment industry. She managed to land her first big job because of him.

"Sister, are you still there? Are you alright? Talk to me!" Eleanor's loud voice came from the phone again, making her wince. Her voice was slightly shrilly.

"I am still here. Sorry, I almost stumbled on some rock." Elara said, curious what this 'good' sister of hers would say next.

"Then you should be careful. Order a taxi or something so you won't be late for your audition." Eleanor made a suggestion. "Stay safe, sister."

Elara said some words for reassurance and bid farewell to her. After she hung up the phone, her eyes flickered.

Everything made sense now.

Behind Eleanor's fake concern, it wasn't really a concern. She wanted Elara to go as soon as possible to the place where the audition took place.

Because that was where the show would happen. Eleanor must have been agitated because she hadn't arrived at the show she had meticulously prepared yet.

If that was the case, then she would wait until the man woke up. It made her curious that she wanted to try it as some kind of experiment. What would happen if this man recognized her as the real savior instead of Eleanor?

She wondered whether Eleanor's future in the entertainment industry would still be as smooth as before.

It seemed that Elara had been too deep, mulling over her thoughts. She didn't realize that the man had woken up, probably because of Eleanor's loud voice.

The man was squinting his eyes. The sudden light must have made his eyes uncomfortable. He weakly asked Elara. "Who are you, Miss? Why am I here...?"
