Chapter 6 Go Buy Condoms

Gianna hadn't finished expressing her concerns when Tristan gently took her hand.

The warmth from his palm radiated through her skin, causing her heart to accelerate unexpectedly. She lifted her gaze to meet his.

Tristan's deep voice enveloped her with reassurance. "I won't regret it. My family has been applying significant pressure for me to marry, and you happen to fulfill all the necessary requirements."

Gianna wondered briefly if she had fallen under some enchantment, as Tristan's gaze seemed to overflow with genuine affection.

Heat rushed to her face, prompting her to quickly retract her hand. "Okay, I understand now."

Tristan emphasized, "You don't need to worry. I won't harm you."

Gianna collected her thoughts before responding, "Considering our marriage is essentially contractual in nature, I believe it would be prudent to have a legal document prepared outlining the terms of our eventual separation."

At the mention of divorce, Tristan frowned subtly.

"And I don't want my grandmother to know about our marriage for now, so other than your family, I hope we can keep it a secret from others."

Tristan acknowledged her request with a silent nod.

"Furthermore, since our marriage serves mutual benefits, establishing a predetermined duration seems appropriate. I suggest one year, after which we proceed with dissolution. During this year, if you no longer need my help with your family, or if I repay your money, we can divorce at any time. Are you okay with those terms?"

Tristan maintained his silence.

Anxiety began to build within Gianna as she said carefully, "Please feel free to express any conditions you might wish to introduce."

Tristan regarded Gianna thoughtfully, his eyes revealing a certain dimness. Was she already expecting a divorce? Was she in such a hurry because of Aaron?

Rather than voicing these considerations, Tristan simply stated, "I have no conditions. We'll do as you say."

Relief washed over Gianna as she quietly observed Tristan, concluding that his agreeable nature should facilitate relatively harmonious interactions in their future.

While attempting to adapt to her new role, she asked nervously, "What is our next destination?"

Instead of answering, Tristan focused on the marriage certificate Gianna held. "Please give me the certificate. I will keep it safely."

Without hesitation, Gianna gave the certificate to him.

As she began to withdraw her hand, Tristan gently captured it in his.

Her skin felt remarkably soft, though the autumn breeze had left it slightly chilled.

Tristan strengthened his hold on Gianna's hand and announced with resonant certainty, "Let us go home."

Gianna required a moment to process his words. The warmth emanating from his hand created an unexpected sensation of being treasured.

She glanced at Tristan once more before offering a genuine smile and nodding in agreement, following his guidance.

By the time they arrived at their destination, darkness had descended completely.

Although the apartment remained physically unchanged from her previous visit, Gianna's perspective had undergone a significant change.

Tristan provided a concise overview of the residence before leading Gianna to the master bedroom. "This is our bedroom. Last night, we-"

Before he could complete his statement, Gianna hastily interrupted, "I know."

Her face betrayed profound embarrassment. How could this man reference their previous night with such composure?

Tristan offered a polite apology. "I apologize for my lack of experience last night. Tonight, I know how to improve my performance."

Gianna's complexion turned to a deep crimson that extended to the tips of her ears.

She had severely underestimated Tristan's capacity to deliver such statements with unwavering composure.

Considering their newly formalized marital status, being intimate seemed a natural progression.

However, to prevent potential complications in their future, Gianna, despite her evident discomfort, whispered, "I have one more condition."

"What is that?" Tristan inquired with genuine seriousness.

Gianna, struggling with her embarrassment, explained, "Given the contractual nature of our marriage, I don't think it would be appropriate for us to have children."

Tristan demonstrated immediate understanding with a nod. "Alright. I'll go buy condoms."
