Chapter 5 Liam's pov

I pushed open the door to the bookstore, and a bell rang. I was immediately struck by the sight of Amelia.

She was even more beautiful than I had imagined. Her dark hair was piled high on her head, and her brown eyes sparkled when she looked up at me.

I sensed her surprise and curiosity. She seemed caught off guard, and I felt a sense of satisfaction at being able to surprise her.

As I walked closer, I knew I had to be careful. I didn't want to scare her away since I had just found her.

When she went to get the books, I couldn't help but watch her. She was slender but had curves in all the right places. A surge of desire ran through me, and I knew I had to be cautious.

As she packed the books, the silence in the store was loud but not uncomfortable. I could feel her nervousness, but I also sensed her attraction to me.

When she asked for my name, I smiled. "Liam," I said, watching as she wrote it down.

After I left the bookstore, Amelia was attacked by some men. While I was following her, my wolf, Thunder, took over and killed them with more force than I intended. Now, Amelia is asking questions; she doesn't like the idea that I am a werewolf, but I have a feeling she won't reject my offer to come with me, just as I suggested.

I stood outside Amelia's bookstore, watching her through the window as she worked. I had given her some time to think about my proposal.

But I had business to attend to. I couldn't just sit around waiting for Amelia to make up her mind. I had a case to solve, a hunter to catch.

I made my way back to Olivia's house, my mind already focused on the task at hand. I had meetings to attend and leads to follow up on.

As I sat in Olivia's living room, going over the case files, I finally got a break. A young witness had come forward, claiming to have seen the hunter.

I leaned forward, my eyes scanning the photo the witness had taken. It was a blurry image, but I could make out the hunter's back. Not his face, but it was a start.

"Finally," I muttered to myself.

Olivia looked up from her laptop. "You've got a lead Alpha?"

I nodded. "Yeah. A witness came forward. We've got a photo of the hunter's back."

Olivia's eyes lit up. "That's great news, alpha."

I stood up, my mind already racing with the possibilities. "I'm going to follow up on some leads, and see if I can track the hunter down."

Olivia nodded. "Of course."

As I left Olivia's house, I couldn't help but think about Amelia. She had three days to think about my proposal. I wondered what her decision would be.

But even if she said no, I knew I would still make her follow back to the pack. I had to make sure she was safe, hunter or no hunter. And besides, I had a feeling she wouldn't say no. I had seen the way she looked at me, the way her eyes sparkled when I touched her.

It was time for me to go back to the pack, but I wouldn't leave without her.

I stood outside Amelia's doorstep, my eyes fixed on her as she opened the door. She looked surprised to see me, and a hint of fear flashed in her eyes.

"How did you know where I live?" she asked, trying to sound calm.

I smiled, my eyes never leaving hers. "I have my ways," I said, cutting her off before she could ask more questions.

"Have you thought about my proposal?" I asked, my voice low and commanding.

Amelia's eyes widened slightly, and she nodded. "Yes, I have."

"Good," I said"Today is the day I leave for the park. Are you coming with me?"

Amelia took a deep breath before nodding. "Yes, I'll come with you."

I smiled, feeling a surge of triumph. "Good," I repeated.

Amelia's eyes flashed with a hint of defiance. "But, I want to take things slow. I don't want to just fall into bed with you because we're...mates or whatever."

I raised an eyebrow, impressed by her spirit. "Oh really? Amelia. You're a little feisty."

Amelia's cheeks flushed, but she stood her ground. "I just want things to be normal. I want to date, get to know each other...all that."

I chuckled, feeling a surge of desire. "I can do that," I said, my voice low and husky.

Amelia's eyes widened slightly, and she took a step back. "I...I think we should go."

I nodded, my eyes never leaving hers. "Yes, let's go."

I turned and called out to my men, who were waiting in the shadows. "Bring the car around and her things We're leaving."

She followed me to the car, her eyes fixed on me with a mixture of fear and fascination.

As we drove away, I turned to her and asked, "Are you sure you're ready for this?"

Amelia's eyes flashed with defiance. "Yes, I'm sure."

I smiled, feeling a surge of satisfaction. "Good," I said, my voice low. "Because once you're mine, you'll never be able to leave."

As we drove through the roads, Amelia tried to break the silence. "So, where exactly are we going?"

I glanced at her, my eyes locking onto hers. "You'll see," I said.

Amelia raised an eyebrow. "You're not going to tell me?"

I smiled, my lips curling up. "Not yet."

Amelia huffed, crossing her arms over her chest. "You're not very good at this whole 'dating' thing, are you?"

I chuckled, my eyes never leaving the road. "I'm not trying to date you, Amelia. I'm trying to claim you."

Amelia's eyes widened, and she opened her mouth to respond, but I cut her off.

"We're here," I said, nodding to the driver.

The car slowed to a stop, and Amelia's eyes locked onto something outside the window. Her face went pale, and she whispered, "What is this place?"

"My pack" .
