Chapter 4 The Admission exam

Alan slowly walked out from his car, dressed in designer clothes.

'Light mage academy huh?'. Alan thought.

The building in front of him was tall, and white in color.

At the top of the building, an holographic screen could be seen showing the name of the school - light mage academy.

Light mage academy , is a special school that was built decades ago, for the purpose of training upcoming mages to fight against the forces of darkness.

It was created by the first mage, he was known as the father of all mages , his abilities were far better than anyone who existed then. Also, he was the one who taught upcoming mages at his time.

He was known as a 'king' .

In the mythical realm, KING are known as strong mages , and just like Alan's father, there are plenty kings out there whose rank and power surpassed a lot of mages.

As Alan entered the building, he suddenly saw a portal which would lead to the exam hall. He steadily entered, and he arrived at a huge hall, filled with young teenagers of his age.

The exam hall fell silent, as a mage with immense power step in.

The man began his speech.

"Hi aspiring mages. Welcome to light mage school. I'm the supervisor for this exam. As you all know this is one of the best mage schools in the kingdom, And our aim is to bring out the potentials in every student of our school, for the purpose of being a powerful mage in the future ". The man then had a brief pause then continued his speech. "As you all know, today is the school's admission exam, and it'll determine whether you'll have the chance to get admitted into this school. Firstly,note that there are three stages in this test . The first is the intellect exam. The intellect exam determines how knowledgeable you are as an aspiring mage. Second is the offensive exam. This exam determines how well you can attack your opponent. This stage determines how well you can attack an opponent in battle . While the third stage is a mystery. The exam starts now ". The man said and then snapped his fingers. Suddenly a huge portal appeared beneath the students feet and they all fell inside including Alan and Jackson.

In the blink of an eye, all the students were teleported to a large room, filled with desks. "Two students each should occupy only a desk". The supervisor's voice rang as students began to take their seats. Just as fate could have it, Alan and Jackson luckily sat at a particular desk. "It's nice meeting you again Jackson". Alan smiled as Jackson slightly smiled back.

Suddenly, out of nowhere some sheets of papers with the exam questions appeared at each of the students desks. "Answer each question. You only have twenty minutes to answer the questions. And your time starts now. Remember anyone caught cheating would fail this exam. Good luck".

The question sheet contains the sum of twenty questions which vividly means that each question should be answered within a minute.

"HM! What will you do if you are surrounded by ten enemies in a battle as a mage?. It's kinda tricky. Let me guess ". Alan kept answering the questions just like how some students also kept answering the question.

Time quickly passed by and they all submitted their answers. "Congratulations! For completing the first exam. And for the next exam. Each of you will be teleported to your specific instructor. Which will conduct the second exam ". Suddenly blue light surrounded each of the students and they all teleported to another area.

Alan, Jackson, Peter and Juliet were all transported to an area where they met their next instructor. She was a mage, and a very strong one. She had battled against strong monsters but has retired and settled as a teacher. "Nice to meet y'all". She greeted politely. "I'm your next instructor and each of your performances will determine what level each of you would be categorized into.

Firstly, it was Peter's turn. Beasts of about five in number suddenly emerged out from the ground and attacked Peter. He quickly dodged the attack and went into a battle stance. He then created a pool of fire which quickly enveloped the area, and finished the beasts.

"That's great. Nice skill Peter. Just easily killed 5 E-rank monsters". The woman praised. "So the next participant is Jackson".

Peter then stepped out and took a battle stance. He was shaking non-stop and was scared. Just like Peter's turn, five beasts emerged from the ground and attacked Jackson. The first beast attacked, and quickly defeated Jackson.

"Weakling". Peter said, scoffing.

"That wasn't amazing. But you tried a little bit". The woman said and stared at the list. "HM! Who's Alan. Please step out and take the test".

Alan then stepped out and took a battle stance. The five monsters then emerge from the ground and attack Alan.

Just as the first beast attacked, Alan quickly sidestep, instantly dodging the beast's attack. He quickly threw a punch which instantly sent the beast flying into a nearby wall and easily

Finished it off. The remaining four monsters attacked, their expression filled with both anger and fear . As they got closer, Alan quickly jumped on a monster neck, making the other three monsters attack carelessly and accidentally end up killing one of their comrades . Then he then threw an effective punch which quickly knocked out another monster.

Bang! Bang! He then attacked one of the monsters by releasing an effective punch which instantly ends it's life.

The remaining monster hesitated, but before he could think of what to do, an effective kick landed directly on its abdomen which instantly sent it flying and ended it's life.

Alan face lit up, he just got a skill of his own which would be useful in battle. As he walked back to where he formerly was, the instructor praised him. "That was great. Good job". She said and recorded something. "Next Juliet".

Juliet quickly took a battle stance. And just as the monsters emerge from the ground, she quickly used her wind ability to smash them multiple times on the ground and quickly finished them. Everyone mouth widen in amazement. She was strong and cool. And being the only girl but strongest person present made everyone amazed including Alan .

"All right. The exam is completed and you all pass successfully. And just like I said, this exam will determine what level you'll be. But note that a final exam await you all. Try your best. And keep the good luck going ".

As soon as she finished, she pressed a button, and suddenly a portal suddenly opened beneath their feet, which instantly sent them inside it.
