Chapter 6 A Ghost Coming Back To Life

What the hell is going on here Jeff screamed at the top of his lungs he almost jumped from the wheelchair in shock. His eyes are red and burning with rage.

"How can a ghost come back to life!?" James yelled jumping off the bed he was wearing his trousers in haste and fear. While Linda just covered herself with the blanket she did not even know whether she should yell, cry, or wail. She could feel some sweat running through her adrenaline she felt like wetting her pants.

"Just get out of here!" You vengeful ghost you should face your greedy wife. James declared rushing past him and running outside he wasn't even sure maybe Jeff was real or if it was his ghost.

"Bloody betrayal!" Didn't you say you enjoyed fucking me the most? Linda cursed still rapping herself with the blanket and curling into a side.

"How dare you, Linda!" "How dare you do this to me!" Jeff yelled at the top of his voice.

I don't know the gibberish you are talking about all I know is that Jeff is gone he was far gone from My life and nothing will change the fact that you are dead she screamed at the top of her lungs jumping off the bed.

Jeff tried to hold her hands but she pushed him away causing him to fall off the wheelchair. Without turning back Linda took her clothes and ran out of the room. Jeff crawled on the floor in pain and agony as tears welled up in his eyes he didn't know maybe it was from the agony of being betrayed or the pain from his leg.

Logan hurried inside the room hurriedly from the way he saw James rushed out half dressed and how Linda scurried out like she was being chased he knew instantly that Jeff had found out the truth.

He saw Jeff crawling on the floor and assisted him back in the wheelchair.

You've found out now so it's high time we returned to the hospital for your treatment he said curtly and helped him back inside the car.

Jeff sat in the backseat in a stupor he couldn't cry or wail he was just looking like a lost kid drowned in his own misery. "Since when have they been dating!?" He asked his voice barely above a whisper.

You have to find that out yourself am not obliged to tell you anything just yet you have to get well first and find out whatever you are willing to know. Logan replied with a faint smile.

They got back to the hospital and he was escorted back to his room, all the nurses kept on glaring at him like he was some Angel they must have known his true identity from the nurse who treated him.

He laid back on the hospital bed and closed his eyes slowly he wished they could just tell him it was all a dream because he his not going to believe it even after witnessing it himself he would have to question Linda himself and get the answer that he desired.

Logan walked out of the hospital and got back in his car, he dialed a number and it rang a few times before the person on the other end finally picked it up.

"Boss!" the person's voice came through the phone as he picked it up.

"Release the news!" Logan declared with an authoritative tone.

"Consider it done Sir!" the person replied before ending the call.

James parked his car hurriedly and rushed inside the house. "What happened?" Sophia asked him but he didn't reply he just ran into his room straight.

Wait is he dead or alive, he can't be alive we all saw how his car was shattered into pieces along with his belongings so how come he appeared like a normal kid? Maybe he teleported there, But how? It's impossible James kept on questioning himself in utmost doubt.

"James, can you talk to me?" Sophia's voice came through as she kept on knocking on the door.

No!! Mother!! Never!! I can't tell you I was chased by a ghost. I can't tell you Jeff's ghost came back to life. Jeff stammered in tears as he clutched to his knees, sitting behind the door.

Sophia knocked repeatedly but she still got no response making her chest raced back and forth in anxiety.

She was still roaming in front of his door waiting for him to come out when Linda stumbled inside in a hurry.

"What the hell is happening between you two!?" James locked himself inside revealing to talk to anybody. Sophia yelled rushing to the living room as soon as she sight Linda.

Mom, it's more than what we thought it was, this is not about me and James at all, it's about Jeff. Linda explained trying to catch her breath.

"Can you be more specific!?" What about Jeff did someone threaten you about his death or what?" Sophia inquired still confused.

"I don't even know how to explain!" Linda declared while panicking in fear.

Just then a news popped on the big screen in front of them.

It was a news about The Carter's family which got the both of them confused.

They just finished Jeff's burial not too long ago and they are still arguing about making James the next chairman. They can't just announce him as the next chairman just yet without anyone's consent. Sophia thought in her head with a smile.

"I just hope it's not what am thinking about!?" God just save me this time around, just once Linda declared in her head silently.

The news showed an image of Jeff entering the hospital in a wheelchair sending shivers down their spines.

THE RETURN OF THE CARTER'S CHAIRMAN (JEFF CARTER): The Carter's chairman who was declared dead from an unfortunate accident just came back to life in Ocean View Medical Center.

What kind of nonsense are they talking about? Wasn't this supposed to be about my Son ascension as the next chairman? Sophia screamed grabbing Linda by the collar.

I don't know how it happened. I don't know how that bastard came back to life we all saw how his car was crushed. Linda explained while trying to wriggle out of her grasp.

"Noo!!!!!" Sophia yelled before collapsing on the floor.

"Mother!!" Linda shouted attracting James who was busy crying in the room.
