Chapter 5 The Dissable Chairman

Jeff woke up to a totally strange environment, waking up to sterile lights, the beep of monitors, and tubes in his arms.

"Where am I?" He questioned himself trying to put back the piece together.

He looked around the room and finally saw a guy with his back facing him, taking a closer look at him he did not look like someone he recognized.

"You saved me right!?" He said trying to sit upright.

"You are awake" the guy responded turning back slowly.

Witnessing, how Jeff was trying to adjust his position he quickly rushed to his side and helped him rest back.

"You can't sit just yet!" He said taking a seat beside him.

"Who are you!?" Jeff questioned coldly.

Am your right-hand man "Logan Lee" I was assigned to you by your grandfather but I was to only protect you from afar and only step into the light after your grandfather's demise I was too late to come to your rescue that day and you are almost dead before I got there. "My sincere apologies" he declared and bowed slightly.

"How am I supposed to believe all this gibberish you are talking about!?" Jeff replied with a deadly glare.

If a person can die from a glare then Logan would have already been dead by now.

But instead, he just smiled slightly and walked towards the window with his back facing Jeff.

"Do you even know where you are!?" "Do you know how many days you've lying there with no one by your side!?" Do have any idea about what is going on at home and how the situation of the company your grandfather left to you is!?" yet, you are hell-bent on who I am "Isn't that funny!?" Logan sneered.

"What did you mean!?" Jeff said forcefully standing up but he felt no life in his legs he couldn't move it or shake it as he liked. "What is happening!?" He asked as fury itched him.

"You are disabled!" Logan replied faintly still not turning to face him.

"What!!!" "Are you insane how can you put that so lightly" Is it funny to you? Jeff shrieked in rage.

"You will find it funny soon enough!" but, if you won't be patient to listen then don't blame me for being rude. Logan replied coldly with that he walked towards the door and left.

"Come back here!" "What nonsense are you insinuating!?" Jeff yelled but Logan already left before he could finish talking. The room fell in utmost silence that even the sound of a pin drop could be heard. He tried to lift his legs again and he confirmed he was crippled. Tears of sadness fell from his eyes.

"If this man was really who he said he was!" then he shouldn't provoke him and hear his every command before he starts complaining he thought as he bites on his lower lips in anger and opened his mouth. "Am sorry!" please come back he apologized with his head down.

Just then a nurse rushed in and exclaimed "Oh my god! You are finally awake!" she screamed happily.

"Where is the guy that just left!?" Jeff questioned ignoring the cheerful nurse.

Oh you mean "Mr. Lee" the nurse inquired still smiling.

"Yeah, can you call him for me!?" Jeff said still maintaining his cold Aura.

Mr. Lee rarely comes to this hospital, once he leaves like that he always comes back when he is willing to. The nurse explained with a smile.

"That bastard!" Jeff yelled with gritted teeth.

"Do you need anything!?" The nurse asked meekly.

"Yes!" Just I need the recent news on Carter's family. Jeff replied.

"Ohh!" About that, I can tell you myself. The nurse said and ran out she soon returned with a chair and put it in front of Jeff she helped him adjust the bed so he could hear her well.

Jeff just looked at the funny girl in front of him surprised, but he wasn't ready to laugh all he just wanted to know was the news about his wife and his grandfather's property.

So the Chairman died and passed the company to his first son and the next day of his burial his first son had an accident and exploded with his car after a thorough investigation his bones were found under the sea and he was finally laid to rest last week. The girl explained with a sad expression.

"What about his wife!?" And what happened to the company Jeff asked shunning her.

"What!" The girl asked confused but looking at Jeff's eyes she only bites on her lower lips angrily before resuming her explanation.

The executive has declared that the second son should become the next chairman while the former Chairman's Allies insisted they wait a while The first son's wife suggested they gave the position to her husband's brother there's even a rumor that they are dating.

"Wait!!" Linda and James are dating!?" Jeff yelled scaring the nurse even more.

Am not sure it's just a rumor the nurse declared with a shaky voice. But how did you know their names!? The nurse asked again summoning the ounce of courage in her.

"Because he is Jeff Carter the dead chairman himself!" Logan declared walking in. The nurse looked at Logan and then at Jeff she quickly ran out before she could get herself in another trouble.

"Please take me home Jeff begged!" Making Logan smile.

"Okay!" Logan said and sent for the nurse to get him a wheelchair.

They got Jeff in the wheelchair and Logan took him home he was not fully healed but he wanted to witness the situation at home himself.

As they get closer to the house his heart beats up and down in anticipation. Finally getting home he begged Logan to help him inside in a hurry.

As they neared the door in his room his heart even raced faster. They arrived at the door and Logan left him and walked outside.

Finally, summoning his courage to open the door but then he heard something probing her to lean against the door and he heard the moaning sounds of people making out.

Confused He leaned in again but it was still the same, He swung the door open angrily only to be met by the scene he never wanted to witness in his entire life. "His wife and James making out".
