Chapter 4(Dying wish)

"Look, Mrs. Fraser, it has been a month, since the demise of my wife, and I let you keep Craig because I thought it would help you to forget the pain of your daughter's death, but he's my son and I want him back"

Fergus said in an angry tone and frustration was written all over him

Mrs Fraser was turned back by such utterances by Fergus, the disappointment and betrayal she got from the same man she had trusted her daughter's life with pushed to the walls, she fiercely slapped his face, leaving him stunned and speechless.

"Mom what are you doing" Amelia in panic and fear of what the outcome of what her mother just did might be, rushed over to her and pulled her back but Mrs. Fraser wasn't having it, she carelessly pushed Amelia away and moved even close to Fergus and while pointing her finger at him she said

"Keeping him?, you think you're doing me a favor by allowing me to keep me for a month, who do you think you're to do me a favor, I am the one doing you and your worthless family a favor, by allowing you to be at my daughter's memorial service, After what you and your heartless family did to my daughter he should be ashamed to show your face here again and you're talking about a child you rest assured there is no way I'm letting you go close to this child talk less of having him you and your worthless family do not deserve this baby do you understand" Mrs. Fraser was in a mood that made her ready to digest anything down including poison just to make sure she gets to keep her grandson.

Fergus was fuming as if he was boiling with rage. His face was twisted in a scowl, his eyes ablaze with fury, and he clenched his fist with frustration.

" With due respect, Mrs Fraser, I have been quiet while tolerating your utterances because of what happened, but blaming me like this will not get you far as to having to keep my child," Fergus said while trying to hold back his anger.

Mrs Loughtry walks into the hall, she walks towards Fergus, gently places her hand on his shoulders, and says

"Dear, we have been waiting for you; go get your son, and let's take him out of here," she said as she stared around in disgust. Her facial expression gave the definition that she felt suffocated in their house.

Mrs. Fraser was furious at such unnecessary and despicable behavior by Fergus's family, especially the mother; Mrs. Loughtry was a bossy and ruthless woman who never approved of the class in which his son had gone to marry; she never liked Blair, and Mrs Fraser never gave her a chance to belittle her or her family.

"I dare you to try and take it, I will burn down this house but my grandson will still go nowhere with you horrible people," she said as she was determined to stand her ground and not feel intimidated by them

Mrs Loughtry moves close as she waves her head slowly in disapproval while putting on a wicked smile

"What is wrong with you, huh? What exactly is your problem? What do you think is going to happen? you get to keep my child, our grandson, simply because you came up with the impression that you left your daughter at the hospital in case you have forgotten Mrs. Fraser Fergus and Blair were legally married, and what it means is that the child deserves to stay with his grandparents. His father, your daughter is dead, accept it and stop creating unnecessary scenes" she said with no atom of remorse in her.

Amelia was boiling with irritation and annoyance, she had so much respect and resilience towards the Loughtry family despite what they made her sister go through they dared to try and intimidate her mother in her house

"Really, what if Blair was your biological daughter? Would you have accepted it and acted like nothing happened?" Amelia said while trying not to speak out of tone with her.

Mrs. Loughtry and Mrs Fraser were both fired with rage and anger. They were shouting at each other, and their faces were red with frustration, and their words were sharp like daggers; it was a clash of emotions and opinions, a storm of heated argument and intense emotions.

"That's enough," Fergus said to his mom in a sharp tone as he signaled to his brother Dennis to leave if their mom, as soon as they exited the hall he sighed and breathed out deeply in a sign of relief, he looked towards Mrs. Fraser and he gently moves towards her direction he, seems to have calmed down and sighs again and said to her

"I understand why you are paranoid about everything and I can't stand back what I did either Will I be able to forgive myself but the way you're going about everything is crazy, there must be some way to settle all this, Craig is your grandchild and you have equal rights to him as well," he said trying to make her see reasons with him.

"I have made a promise to my daughter that I will take care of her child and I would not like him to face any trouble," Mrs Fraser said amidst tears

"I will take care of him, please trust me," Fergus told her

" I'm unable to trust you again, you let me down before and I can't get myself to trust you again "

He held her hand and in sincerity, he asked her" What do I have to do to get you to trust me again"

Amelia thought things would be settled amicably, her mom had calmed down but that was the most confusing moment of her life as her mother said

"You will have to marry Amelia and make her your wife".
