Chapter 4 Elena wants a divorce

Demian grabbed the document, surprised to see his name and Bianca written in the hospital document.

His face instantly paled, and anxiety began to envelop him.

"You... Where did you get all this? "Demian asked nervously.

"Is it important?" Elena replied indifferently.

"I... I can explain, Elena. It's not what you think..." Demian stammered, trying to defend himself.

However, his words were interrupted by a hard slap on the cheek.

Elena stared at him angrily.

"Stop talking nonsense to cover up your rottenness, Demian!"

"Elena, I-"

"They always want us to get divorced, don't they? All right! I will grant your father and mother's wish," Elena said firmly, then got up from her chair.

"No! We are not getting divorced, Elena!"

Elena, who had originally intended to leave, suddenly changed her mind.

However, before she could speak, Nathan's voice was heard first.

"Mom, don't you know how to thank my father? He has taken you in, given you everything you need. Even though he knows you're just a barren woman who can only scold me and control everything. Now, look what you've done to him?"

Nathan's words came as a shock to both Elena and Demian.

Without hesitation, Elena slapped Nathan hard across the face.

Elena cried, not because she felt guilty, but because she didn't expect the child she had raised so well to speak rudely to her.

"Elena! What are you doing? He's just a little boy! Do you deserve that?" Elena's actions shocked Demian even more.

"Apologize quickly, now! Otherwise-"

"Otherwise, what? "Elena interrupted in a raised voice. 'Do you want to hit me? Do it, Demian! Do it if you have no shame about yourself!"

"Elena, you...' Demian was silent again, trying to hold back his anger.

"Elena, listen to me carefully." Demian tried to calm himself.

"No, Demian! You have to listen to me!" Elena replied sharply.

"Now answer me! On what basis do you justify him talking to me like that? Letting him insult me? Have I ever raised him this way?"

"No, you always do your best. But, Elena, you must know that what you did was wrong too."

"Yes, I know. But why did he talk to me like that?"

"What makes him understand that what he did was wrong? Have I been bad to him all this time? Did I treat him badly? Did you teach him to speak rudely? No! I always taught him kindness. But look what happened? And the truth about who his biological parents are... do I still deserve to be treated well? Kindness is only given to the right person who deserves to be treated well. And him? He doesn't deserve it at all!"

"Elena, you shouldn't-"

"No, Dad." Nathan suddenly interrupted, stopping Demian's speech.

"Let her talk to me like that! I don't care about all her treatment of me! I still have Mama Bianca! I don't need attention from this stupid woman who can't have children!" Nathan spoke rudely, even pointing at Elena with his finger.

"Nathan! Father never taught you to speak like that! Apologize quickly! After all, she is still your mother, the woman who has taken care of you!"

"I won't! What I said was true, Dad! Grandma and Mama Bianca always talk that way about Mom! So, am I wrong to call her that?"

Hearing Nathan's innocent answer, Elena laughed.

"Look! Look at the result of the upbringing of the woman you love! Blood is thick, Demian! No matter how well I educate her, she will still have the nature of her host!"

"Elena, I know this isn't true! Therefore, I need you to educate her well, to take care of her. Because I know Bianca won't be that good at taking care of Nathan! Moreover..."

"Moreover, Bianca is pregnant now? Is that what you want to say?" Elena chuckled, a laugh that sounded sad.

"So what have you thought of me all this time, Demian? The nanny of your affair? Because I can't have children, you feel entitled to do this to me? Do you think I'm that stupid?"

"Then what is it like?" Elena asked in a loud voice.

"Demian, you need to know now that I don't want to be involved in your life anymore! I don't want to! I choose to divorce you! "Elena continued, and every word she spoke sounded hurtful.

"We will never get divorced!" Demian refused firmly.

"You will always be my wife! You belong only to me! So... I beg you, stop exaggerating this problem. We have been married for more than ten years. This is only a trivial matter, and it is natural."

"Trivial, you say? Natural?" Elena laughed lightly. 'I just found out that having an affair is trivial and natural. So, if I give my body to another man, that's natural, too?"

"These are two different things, Elena! You and I are certainly different!"
