NEVAEH'S POV
I knew Mum was worried sick about Dad's condition, but I couldn't help but feel worried and make her feel even more worried and stressed.
I knew mummy was stressed and frustrated, especially because of Dad's situation, but on top of that, Diane had to make trouble for her. What was the deal with her? I asked myself.
I still couldn't understand why Mum trusted her so much to the extent of appointing her as her, P.A.
She had skills that were for sure, but it did not mean she was the only qualified candidate.
Why did it have to be her? In the beginning, I had little or let's say no trust for her.
But now it was worse. My trust in her had decreased to -hundreds.
Why would she have challenged Mum like that? It was crystal clear that something was wrong and Mum had her suspicions.
Whichever the case is, I had to get to the bottom of everything. There would be no problems whatsoever if she's not planning on double-crossing us. That's if she has not done that already.
If she tried anything sneaky and hurt my mum, dad, or sisters, I'd make her pay.
We arrived back in our home country late at night, but we just had to see Dad, we headed straight to the hospital as soon as we left the airport. Even Dahlia and Emily knew something was wrong.
When we got there, Mum went to the front desk to ask about Dad. There, she found out Dad was still in the operating room.
We rushed over to the operating room, and there we saw Uncle Liam standing at the front of the door.
"Ma'am!" he exclaimed when he saw us.
"How is he doing?" Mum asked, trying to calm herself down, but she couldn't. The babies knew something was wrong, and seeing their mother stressed started wailing.
I walked over to their strollers and started trying to calm them down.
"Shhh babies, don't cry, everything is just fine, shhh," but that did not work, so I picked up Dahlia since her screams were the loudest and started rocking in my arms Although I couldn't carry her well, I tried my best. It was much easier now since I had been practising.
Suddenly, Mum rushed over to my side and aided me by taking Dahlia into her arms. And rocking Emily's stroller.
"I am so sorry, babies, for making you worry. Mummy is just stressed out, but she's going to get better. Daddy is not okay, but he'll get better, okay? Stop crying," Mum said as Uncle Liam stepped to her side, took Emily into his arms, and started coaxing her.
Mum suddenly looked at me and said, "Thank you, princess."
"You don't have to thank me. It's nothing,"
"What can I do without you?" She asked as a tear ran down her eyes.
We stayed at the hospital for five hours, and Mum had earlier asked me if I would like to go home, take a shower, eat, and nap, but I declined, I was not in the mood for any of that.
As we all sat there staring intensely at the operating room door, Uncle Liam suddenly asked about Diane. But before Mum could reply the operating Door flew open.
