Chapter 5 REVENGE

"Stay away from the Alpha's wife Jenna, you know what the Alpha is capable of doing," the young man named Lucian said while standing in the middle of Serafine and Jenna.

"And who are you to tell me that?" Jenna said defiantly while staring at Lucian.

"You know fully well what I am capable of doing", Lucian added with a growl, after which Jenna hissed, turned around, and left the store.

The man turned back, smiled at Serafine, and stretched his hand.

"Hi, I'm Lucian, I work nearby", Lucian added with a smile.

"Uhm, I am Serafine" she replied as she shook hands with him.

"Hope Jenna did not disturb you? She is fond of doing that. " She is quite close to our Alpha, so let's just say that she is protective of him", he added while still shaking her hand.

Serafine removed her hand from his and just smiled at him. She was about to leave when she stepped back and craned her neck a little.

" Thank you so much for your kindness, but I don't need those dresses. You can keep them", Serafine said while smiling. Clothes were not what she needed right now. Even though she loved that particular dress, she was not going to risk anybody seeing this young man that she did not know buy dresses for her. It would just create unnecessary rumors, and she wants to be spared all that stress.

Just as she was about to leave, Lucian held her hand, stopping her from going. When she looked down at his hand holding hers, he left her hand and said

" Oh so sorry for doing that, but since you are new here, I don't know if you would like a tour. You know, to get familiar with this pack."

Just as Serafine was about to reject it, she thought otherwise as his tour would save her so much stress. She could also get it done quickly and head back without creating a fuss.

"Sure," Serafine said with a small smile on her face.

And so, Lucian toured her all around the pack, and she just felt more amazed by what she was seeing. The sight was just too much to behold. She made sure to give a little distance between Lucian and herself as she did not want to spark any rumor of any such.

After the tour, Serafine headed back to the Alpha's house while bidding goodbye to Lucian.

Meanwhile, immediately after Serafine entered the house, the look on Lucian's face changed to one of contempt and hate. He turned back and headed back to where he was coming from.

"Your acting was so natural, you should probably be an actor". Lucian heard the voice of a lady behind him, and he need not turn to know who that voice belonged to.

"Let's just say Serafine made the job much easier. This is only the beginning and this is nothing. " I need to make sure that she trusts me to the brim, I need to earn her trust and respect and, when she least expects it, I will strike hard at her, luring him to me, and then I would be able to implement all my plans." Lucian added with utter hate in his eyes

" Do not forget your promise, you would not hurt him, and you will give him to me unscathed. It would feel nice to finally have him all to myself again where no one can take him away from me, where I'd be able to do whatever I want with him". The voice added while still staring at Lucian thinking of all the things she would do to him when she finally had him in her clutches.

"I won't just stick to your part but I would also stick to mine as long as you cooperate", Lucian added as he turned his back to leave. Just before he left, he spoke with his back still facing her.

"Find out everything I need to know about the girl. I need it soon, and I need it fast to speed things up. Be discreet and make sure no one finds out, or else", Lucian added with a voice laced with venom emphasizing the 'or else'.

He finally left as the only thought on his head was taking what was rightfully his and getting his revenge.

The lady laughed maniacally as she took a doll from her pocket and broke the body into two.

" Enjoy your time with him while it lasts, because no matter what, he was mine, he is mine, and he will forever be mine" She took an ink from her pocket, wrote a name on the broken body of the doll, and threw it on the floor, after which she turned her back to leave too.
