Chapter 5 Sister's Betrayal

Chapter Five: Exposing the culprit.

As Rose exited the Room, she vowed to expose the person Responsible for her humiliation but how she was going to do that is what she doesn't know yet. She left the house and visited her parents' home.

She Rang the bell, Jacob Cadozo himself opened the door.

Dad! Rose exclaimed as she hugged her Father.

Jacob Cadozo held her daughter, he patted her on the back and muttered, everything will be fine my dear. Now tell me what actually happened, he asked her.

Rose began to explain everything that transpired, and what pained me the most she said, is that Jake actually believed it.

I feel so disappointed in Jake, Dad.

Don't worry my dear, the way he beg me on phone that he wanted you but you alone made me consider giving out your hand to him in marriage but I am beginning to reflect on my decision. He will surely come around, I feel that he is yet to understand you my dear.

He always comes around to beg me after realizing his mistakes just like he misunderstood me during the welcoming event Dad. I don't know if Jake has two personalities.

One betrays me in public and the other one comes to beg after, Rose lamented bitterly .

Come my dear, and sit down.

I am sure everything will be fine after the truth is revealed, Jacob comforted Rose.

Which is why I have decided that I must expose the person Responsible for this, otherwise, the Chandlers will be making fun of me and thinking that I Did it .

Come and have a cup of Coffee and Relax for now, Jacob said, later we will handle it.

Cecelia was so excited that she had spoiled the trip, she called Emily, Jake's younger sister to know the update and after hearing that the trip was cancelled was in a hilarious mood.

I am going to Ruin Rose, she said to herself, just watch as I do it. She thinks she can take Jake away from me and get away with it. She hissed like a snake, no Way.

Rose woke up, showered and prepared to go to school. The previous day had been full of events so she needed a fresh environment to refresh herself.

She carried her school Bag to go, but Jake Called her to wait, I am also done. He said, let's go together so that I can Drop you off at the Campus.

During the drive to the Campus Rose kept hush and was staring through her side glasses.

Jake occasionally stole glances at her to know her reactions.

Finally they arrived at the Campus , he dropped Rose off and headed to the parking lot to park his Car.

Rose was heading to her Class for the Lecture when she heard her name, she turned and it happened to be sally.

Good morning Sally, Rose greeted.

Good morning Rose, she responded,I saw your husband dropping off, so I hurried to catch up with you.

Sally is a very good friend of Rose , whom she can confide in.

I thought you and your husband were supposed to go on a Trip? Sally asked Rose, staring straight at her, she can see that something is not right by looking at her friend's Countenance.

Sally it was Cancelled, Rose just Said.

Why was it Cancelled? Sally insisted on knowing. She knows that she will have to force it out from Rose, otherwise she won't talk.

My passport got missing, and the whole trip got ruined.

What! Sally shouted .

Shhhh Rose hushed her. Don't shout, Sally.

Someone might hear you.

Ok. After Class , let's sit at our favourite spot and talk about it, she said.

After Two entertaining lectures. Sally and Rose sat at their favourite spot at the shade of a Large tree.

So tell me everything, Sally listened intently as Rose narrates the story.

I am sure someone is trying to sabotage you Rose, she said earnestly.

Exactly my thinking, Concurred Rose.

You have to take the matter to the police,so that they can fish the culprit out, Sally advised.

How can I involve the police here Sally, it would seem as if I'm calling the police on my family.

This is about absolving yourself, Rose. The police will take the fingerprint of everybody in the house on that particular Day unless you want to be blamed for what you didn't do and mind you, the person will still continue to frame you up.

Rose thought about it Critically.

I have a friend in the police, who handles exactly this kind of Case, trust me Rose, we will go and see him this afternoon. The sooner the better.

Corporal Hesky is a very intelligent officer who has handled various degree of Cases,

He can analyze and Conclude a case quickly which has earned him the nickname, Fast Buster.

Sally and Rose sat at the opposite side of Hesky, Sally had briefed him on the phone before their arrival.

Rose Narrated the Entire story again as Corporal Hesky listened with keen attention. When she was Done, Hesky said, this is Sabotage, somebody is trying to frame you obviously.

I have handled similar cases like this in the past he Clarified, I will have to visit your house tomorrow, just ensure everyone that

was around when it happened, will be around when I come,he told Rose.

Corporal Hesky had said he would come by 3:pm. Rose needed some way to bring Cecelia to the house before the time. He pondered on what to do.

She picked up her phone and dialed.

It Rang and Rang

Hello, Cecelia said from the other End.

Hello, it's me Rose, please could you come around by 2:30pm to help me with something very important. I will explain everything when you come.

Ok Rose, I will be there. She agreed.

By 2:50 pm every one that was in the house when the incident occurred were present, even Cecelia had come by and was chatting vigorously with Aunt Catherine.

At exactly 3:00 pm there was a knock at the Door. James opened the entrance door and Immediately Corporal Hesky and his team entered.

Corporal Hesky looked around and said, we received a report of theft.

Who called the police. Inquired aunt Catherine.

There was Dead silence.

I am sure you came to the wrong address,

Aunt Catherine said to Hesky.

No Ma'am, I'm sure we are in the right place.

Who called the police, she inquired again.

I did, Rose replied from upstairs coming down the staircase Confidently.
