Chapter Four: Chandler Family Betrayal.

The BMW Car sped out from the driveway, and hit the Road. James was on the driving wheel, Jake and Rose, his wife, were seated at the back of the Car.

James please add some speed,so we can get to the Airport on time, Jake Commented.

Ok bro,he replied.

He matched the Accelerator and the Car lurched with increase in Velocity.

Aunt Catherine,I need to go back Now that Rose has gone on a trip. Cecelia Chirped, knowing obviously that in No distance period, they will be back to the house.

After Jake and Rose left the house, Cecelia had Gone back to Jake's Room and Kept Rose's passport in the middle of a Magazine place where Rose Uses for Reading.

Oooh no,no, you don't have to go back, you're welcome in this house as long as possible, Rose or not. Catherine walked Casually and Sat on a Sofa.

Aunt Catherine,I need to do something at home. Please permit me to go. She pretended.

Ok. If you say so. But just know that you can come back anytime you wish Cecelia .

Just because Jake my Son doesn't know what is good for him doesn't mean that you can abandon us.

No Aunty, don't say that,Rose is my sister.she pretended innocence.

We are Ten minutes away from the Airport.

James announced, as he reduced his speed.

That's good. Jake scooped his small bag up and brought out his international passport. Rose bring out your passport,so that we can head directly to the passport check point unit, he said, as he glanced towards her direction.

Rose brought her small Bag, Rummaged for her passport but Couldn't find it. She took it to be a Joke. She Dip her hand Again deeper and scrutinize each content carefully but to her amazement, she couldn't find anything.

I can't find it, she Continued searching, I can't find it.

You can't find what? Asked Jake.

My passport,Rose Repeated.

Is this a Joke or what? Jake asked

I can't find my passport, Rose replied. I put it in this Bag myself.

If you put it in this Bag, then where is it? Jake was already very Furious, I asked you several times to check your passport before we left and you said it was there in your Bag.

Rose just Calm down and check it more Carefully, it might be there, James told her.

I can't really Find it, Rose whined. I personally kept it in this Bag.

Stop the Car James, let her look for it properly, Jake commanded with anger in his voice.

The Car screeched to a halt, and they all came down.

Jake went to the front of the Car , and was fuming with anger. She should have told me that she doesn't want to go on this trip with me, instead of wasting all this money in vain. He paced up and Down restlessly, like a snake that swallowed a grass cutter .

After emptying all the contents in the Bag and putting them back, Rose said, I am really Confused, because I personally put this passport here. Something is definitely wrong.

Of course, it is, Jake retorted from his pacing position at the front. You should have at least had the Decency to tell me you're not going on this trip.

Rose was hurt by these words.

Jake don't you believe me? She asked.

Why would I believe you Rose,if you put the passport in that bag, then it should be there.

Rose was deeply hurt, if no one believes her at least Jake should believe her and stand by her.

Jake brought out his phone. He pondered on who to call to check out the passport in his Room. He can't call his mother or his Sister,they both hate Rose guts.

He decided to call his Father, he is not against Rose at least.

He dialed his Dad's number.

It Rang twice before his Dad picked it up.

Hello, Jake, have you reached the airport? His father asked.

Listen Carefully Dad,Jake said, carefully go to the Room and see if you can find Rose's passport. She couldn't find it .

Ok son, just relax , I will call you back.

Fifteen minutes later his father called back.

Jake, I couldn't find the passport anywhere in your Room.

Ok Dad, Thanks,He hung up.

Jake turned and approached James, his Cousin, not even wanting to talk to Rose.

We are going back to the house , he announced.

James got into the driver's seat, Jake and Rose entered the back seat from either side of the Car door.

The Engine rev into life as James turned the car and headed back home.

As Jake, James and Rose entered the Chandlers Mansion words had already leaked

about Rose missing passport.

While Louis was busy searching for the passport in Jake's Room, Catherine his wife Caught him and was inquisitive on what he was looking for in Jake's Room, at some point,he had to relent to her pressure and told her everything.

As they approached, Catherine lashed on Rose mercilessly, how could you be so careless to forget such a thing as your passport.

Tell me, when will your childish mistakes come to an end.

Is it until you run this Mansion down with your carelessness and Nonchalant attitude.

Let's search for the passport first before it's too late. James implored, this is no time for Drama.

It's late already Even if we find the passport now. Jake said, the flight will be boarding out right away as we speak.

Let's look nevertheless, James insisted.

Rose Went upstairs immediately and looked everywhere for the passport but she couldn't find it.

She was certain she had kept her passport inside her Bag.

Her mind Ran to and she Remembered how Cecelia had been hovering around their Room before the trip.

She instantly knew that someone had removed her passport intentionally to make her not travel for this trip.

Moment later Jake came in too.

Have you seen the passport? He asked.

No sir. I haven't, Rose replied.

He begins to look everywhere on the shelf, wardrobe, finally he stroll to where Rose Normally does her reading, and he saw a Magazine, on impulse he opened the Magazine and discovered the passport lying in the middle of the Magazine.

Is this not your Passport? He Asked incredulously.

Rose turned and Saw the passport he was holding, collecting it from his hand.

It is my passport, she said, how did it end up here because I didn't put it.

Are you asking me, answered Jake, exasperated.

Jake, Don't you believe me when I said, I didn't put it here. I kept it inside my Bag, I'm a hundred percent sure of that.

Then I'm the one that kept it there, in that Magazine, he replied with anger.

Rose was heart broken into pieces . Even Jake, her husband, whom she is counting on did not believe her.

She was highly Disappointed in Jake's lack of Faith in her.

At that very moment, Louis, Catherine and James, including Emily Came inside.

Has she found it? Catherine asked.

She saw Rose holding the passport.

Where did she keep it? She asked again conclusively.

She found it in that Magazine at the table, Jake replied.

I told you that she is not Good for you Son.

Look at the stress she is putting you through. I chose a wife that can take care of you in Cecilia, instead you ditched her for this.

Imagine all the money you spent for this trip, all gone for nothing. she sneered with hate in her voice.

Catherine has not come to terms with her son ditching her choice of wife for him.

I am certain someone removed my passport from my Bag, Rose said, with certainty in her voice.

Are you accusing us then? Catherine asked, Exasperated.

I am not accusing anybody, but all I am saying is that my passport was Removed from my Bag. Rose replied.

Catherine, James chipped in.

There is no way Rose can commit this kind of mistake. "He is even defending her more than her rightful husband should."

Keep quiet James, snarled Catherine, your making excuses for her carelessness and poor upbringing.

How can someone deliberately forget her passport, Louis Said, let's give Rose a chance to explain herself.

I know for sure that someone is behind this ,

Rose said determinedly, and I am going to prove it. I won't keep quiet anymore .

I'm going to expose the person that is behind this. She declared and walked out of the Room.
