Chapter 7 JUNK START

ROMAN POV

4 week has passed since that chick woke from her slumber.

She seems pretty healthy for someone who was found at the brink of death.

She must be one of a kind hybrid werewolf.

Her scars are almost completely gone now, although her belly fat is still pretty much visible.

I think uncle is bent on using her to his advantage but I have my doubts.

I honestly don't think she could even be worth using, and I am saying that as an complement.

Her brain seems to be intact, but for some reason she doesn't respond to anything no matter how happy or sad it might be.

I have to confess, her crying annoyed the hell out of me the first day but seeing her this way makes me wish she was some kind of cry baby which actually has feelings.

Anyway, that is the least of my problems. I am running low on trusty men in my service and it's so frustrating.

I mean I have had 2 police rates this past week and I am really doubtful about them just being accidental.

There is a mole in our mist, and I wouldn't rest till I get to the bottom of it.

" Good afternoon uncle" I greet as I walk into uncle's office at the hospital.

" Good morning nephew. How nice of you to pay us a visit, after ignoring us for weeks" He says pretending to be hurt.

He sounds like he didn't invite me over.

" Don't start uncle. I have had alot on my plate lately" I inform sincerely as I grab a sit opposite to his.

" Speaking of a heavy plate. I heard you had two rates this week alone" He says as a matter of argency

" Uncle, the whole think seems like a mystery to me. I think we have a mole in our camp" I inform with a bitter taste in my mouth.

" And you haven't figured out who it is yet?" He ask with a worrisome look

" The more I think, the more the secret grow. I think Sile is the only suspect I can come up with but he can't betray me" I inform with certainty

" That is what you think?. I put it to you that Sile is the traitor" He says with seriousness written all over him.

" That doesn't make any sense uncle. I have single handedly fed him and his family for the past 4 years. I equally paid for his brother's heart surgery and ........." I start explaining as I feel pain erupting in my chest

" And you killed the woman he loved " He opens my eyes to the truth and I am left utterly dumbfounded.

" Wait, he was in a relationship with Silvia?" I ask unsure

" I am afraid so" He informs simply, his words falling like a piercing dagger to my heart, enraging me.

" How dare him?. I will tear that bastard limb from limb" I say in a yell

" Calm down son, he is already six feet below" He informs nonchalantly

" Uncle you killed him?" I ask with a distasteful frown and he nods in approval.

"Why?. He wasn't yours to kill" I yell as I stand in anger.

" Lower your voice or leave" He says as he curve his brow with annoyance

" Fine" I give in, retaining my seat "Hope his death was painful?"

" How does bone graining sound like?" He ask with a reminiscing smirk

" Delightful" I say with a smile.

" Oh, you're just in time. My new doll is about to be discharged from the hospital" He informs knowing fully well who he speaks of.

" That's nice. I better leave now" I inform as I rise to my feet.

" Roman can you please take that woman home. You know you are the only person she reacts to" He beseeches me

" I can't uncle, forget it" I say nonchalantly

" Have a nice day" I add before walking out only for him to follow immediately.

" Nephew, just do this one thing for me" He beseeches me as he rushes after me.

" I don't want to, you always make me do the most ridiculous things, and I am sick of it" I inform acrimoniously, uncle is the worst person one could be related to.

" Listen uncle......" I start speaking before the adorable voice of my daughter interrupts.

" Grandpa " She screams excitedly as she running in to hug him.

" Hi buttercup. How are you?" He ask as he quickly replaces his formal angry demeanor with a smile

" Fine grandpa. Grandpa I missed you" She confesses with a smile as she looks up at him.

" And Grandpa missed you too" He says, ignoring me.

What is going here?.

This makes no sense. She is supposed to be in school.

Why is she here with Uncle's wife, aunt Felicity.

" Hi mom" I greet with a smile and we share a hug. I practically grew up with aunt after my mom abandoned me, so I see her as my mother.

" Roman, It has been so long. How have you been son?" She ask excited.

" Good mom. You look beautiful as always" I compliment

" Thanks son" She says with a blush

" Hi Daddy" Claire says with a smile as she hugs me

" Mom what is she doing here?" I ask with a confused frown

" Actually..... Daddy......" Claire stammers as she tries to speak but aunt Felicity cut in.

" She assaulted a classmate at school" Mom informs

" You did what?" I yell angry making her tremble, probably because this is the first time I have ever yelled at her.

" Roman, calm down. You are scaring the poor kid" Uncle beseeches me

" Uncle please stay out of this one, this is between me and my daughter" I inform in an abased manner

" He is right Willam. Roman has to discipline his daughter" Mom supports.

"Claire explain yourself" I command furious at her.

" I am sorry Daddy. She started it. She said, her mother said I was a bastard, someone without a mother. She said mama left me because she didn't want me" She mumbles in tears as she trembles in her state.

My chest feels heavy as her words fall upon my eardrums like heavy metal.

Never in my life have I seen my daughter in this pitiful state.

All my anger has simply melted into sadness and emptiness.

Those worthless parents, who tell their children stuff like that should be arrested at ones.

" Don't cry sweetheart. I am sorry I shouted at you" I apologize as I lift her off her feet into a hug

" Daddy is it true that mama doesn't love me?" She ask still in tears with a voice that accentuates her pain.

" That's not true baby. Mama loves you. She is just busy that's all " I lie in a bit to console her

" Then why isn't she here?. You are always busy but you always come to see me at least once a day" She reminds

" I know but your mom......" I start speaking but she cuts in.

" She doesn't love me daddy" She say in a broken hearted manner.

" She does. You know what baby, let's go shopping. I would get you that toy car you always wanted. How about that?" I try to divert her attention.

" I just want to go home" She informs as she tries to be strong.

" You're sure?" I ask and she nods in approval " Home it is then" I say before taking a few steps but she stops me.

" Daddy please put me down. I would like to walk to the car by myself" She informs

" Sure baby?" I doubt, and she nods.

I oblige and all of a sudden the most mind blowing thing happens.

Uncle's favorite doll runs towards us.

She gets on her knees and pulls my daughter into a tight embrace.

" Claire, sweetheart heart. I missed you. Mother missed you" She says in tears, confusing the rest of us.

What is happening?.

Did she just speak?.

How did she know my daughter's name?.

Why is she hugging my daughter, and why does she refer to Claire as her daughter?
