Chapter 3 THREE

"Good morning, Mr. Theodorv; I'm sorry my arrival has disturbed your time."

Mora ventured to look into Valdés' intimidating eyes. Since last night, Mora had been thinking hard about meeting Valdés; there were so many considerations she had to take until she decided to ask Valdés for help to get her revenge.

Valdés Theodorv. Mora had never met him in person. This was the first time Valdés' name was no longer unfamiliar to Mora; Valdés owned a famous construction company. The Hercyna company she currently visited was the parent of many companies under Valdés' leadership. Valdés also has several malls in every country, but unfortunately, he was accused of stealing ideas last year. The perpetrator of the accusation was Carlos Holland. Her ex-husband, Mora, thought Carlos's actions were always right. Now she realized Carlos was so cunning to gain power in a dirty way.

When Mora saw Valdés' face directly, the 32-year-old mature man looked so handsome and charming, his handsome face framed by fine hair from under the cheeks to the jaw and chin; Valdés had beautiful light brown eyes that looked dominant, the athletic body in a slick suit was 190 cm tall, so perfect for getting the nickname, Billionaire.

"Morana Hartley."

Mora's eyes rounded perfectly when she heard Valdés' baritone voice say her name in full. It was something she would never have expected Valdés to call her by her real name; usually, Carlos's colleagues called her Mrs. Holland.

"Why are you so surprised? Long time no see, Mora." Valdés was still staring coldly. "Did your husband ask you to come to see me? Sorryji none of yours, but only you can help me to destroy that bestard!" Mora swallowed her bitterness and shame. She no longer cared how Valdés looked at her; Mora would humble herself to gain Valdés' favor. Only Valdés, only he could help Mora.

She was willing to trade anything as long as Valdés was on her side to avenge her pain. Mora only wanted Carlos to be destroyed, broken into pieces, and crumbled into dust with his mistress.

"What should I do for you? So that you will accept to work with me," broke up Mora, who felt that she had to offer more to make Valdés interested in her.

Valdés seemed to be thinking hard; at that moment, Mora interrupted again. "Do you remember what Carlos did to you? Everything is unfair! You were accused of something you didn't do; he stole your idea, but Carlos accused you. Just because he wanted to bring down a business that was a tough rival for him."

"I know. Even I can destroy him easily now without needing your help." Valdés stood up from his desk, approaching Mora's tiny body, who looked at him disappointedly after she showed a rejection reaction.

Despite being rejected, Mora still did not give up easily. She again tried to seduce Valdés in any way possible. "I know more about Carlos's weaknesses. Even though I play a role in some of Carlos's businesses, wouldn't it be beneficial to work together? You can more easily destroy his business, and I also get the satisfaction of seeing him destroyed."

Mora loudly expressed her opinion. She wanted to see Valdés' face, which would probably smile with satisfaction and agree with her suggestion. Still, unfortunately, Valdés's face remained so cold that it was too difficult to interpret the mindset of a man like Valdés.

Valdés only raised his eyebrows slightly. He was already interested in the persistence of Mora, who intended to destroy Carlos, but Valdés would not openly show that he was curious.

"You must pay Mora a price if you ask me for help. I don't give favors for free." Valdés said again by linking his ten fingers on the surface of the glass table.

"I know. You can ask me for anything as long as you help me get revenge on Carlos."

I did not want to waste a golden opportunity. Valdés opened his baritone voice again. "Marry me and give me one offspring."

Mora was surprised because she had come to work together and not to marry Valdés. She was still traumatized by marriage; how could Valdés easily ask her that?

"You don't agree, then you may leave."

Mora was stunned for a moment, thinking about Valdés' offer. "What kind of marriage do you mean? A fake marriage?"

"It can be said like that. I don't care about real or fake marriage; you must give me offspring," Valdés said firmly.

Being married to Valdés was something that had never crossed her mind before. But Mora would still agree and think that what was being offered to her was to destroy her life.

Her ex-husband.

"I agree. Carlos will panic even more when he finds out that we are married. You are his business competitor, and I am his ex-wife, who knows all his weaknesses. You're the biggest threat to Carlos; I can't wait to see his life fall apart," Mora said with sparkling eyes.

Valdés rubbed his chin with his thumb. Staring intently at Mora from head to toe, everything on Mora's body caught his attention. Since last night, he had also considered this when Duke told him about Carlos Holland's divorce. His path was so right that it made Carlos panic, thinking the Carlos embarrassed Valdés in the courtroom. And to his detriment in time and money, Valdés has yet to repay Carlos for everything he's done to him. Valdés was like a time boom that would explode at any moment, and now was the perfect time for Mora to come to him for help.

It is such an excellent opportunity for Valdés. A pity to ignore, Mora was the perfect bait for Valdés to destroy Carlos.
