Chapter 3 Say Hello

Varenzel hit his back against his oversized chair, he looked back at the collection of folders piled up on the table. Varenzel let out an exasperated sigh when he didn't find a CV with the name he expected. Until there was a loud knock on the door, then Joan enter

"Joan?"

"I know that you don't like negligent employees, but I ask you to let Alicy go this time, OK? She said there was a problem that made him late in sending her CV this morning."

"Alicy Swan?"

Unexpectedly, Varenzel's response was quite enthusiastic. He looked at the CV that Joan kept on the table

"Did Alicy deliver this?"

"Hmm..."

"Where is she now?"

"I told hin to go home, maybe she's in the lobby now!"

Joan was shocked because in that second Varenzel got up and jumped from his seat, with a little haste Varenzel even left the room and Joan was stunned.

"Miss Swan!" Varenzel's screams could be heard in Alicy's ears, it was true that Alicy was in a fairly quiet lobby when the employees were busy with their respective tasks.

"I thought you didn't want to deliver your CV here" Varenzel could still be heard gasping for air from running around, Varenzel smiled after arriving in front of Alicy.

"Thank you," said Alicy with a small bow, "Sorry I sent it late."

"No, no problem. Ah... I actually want to apologize to you about what happened last night. Honestly, I've been thinking about you since last night!"

Alicy looked at Varenzel, a little unable to understand Varenzel's completely frontal attitude towards her.

"Miss Swan, you will forgive me won't you?"

"W-Well..." Alicy nodded vaguely in confusion, Varenzel smiled even more then one hand rose to shake Alicy.

"Then, from now on will you be friends with me?"

Alicy hasn't responded yet, in fact she is an introverted person especially after the crazy incident that happened to her in the past made Alicy even more careful with everyone she just met.

"Ah... do you feel uncomfortable?" said Varenzel when Alicy didn't react in any way.

"Sorry, it's not like that, I'm sorry!" Alicy corrected, "I think with your attitude it won't be difficult for you to find friends and acquaintances."

Varenzel nodded confidently. Then he looked at the watch on his hand. "Ahh... do you want to go home? Uhh... it's break time soon, if you want I can take you!"

Alicy smiled, even though just a few moments ago Varenzel apologized for his behavior but at the same time Varenzel broke Alicy's boundaries again.

"Thank you, but I have a little business to do!"

Varenzel's eyebrows rose, he nodded faintly "Hm... okay then, be careful. See you again!"

In the end, Alicy bowed and turned around, leaving Varenzel who was still standing watching Alicy leave.

"Apparently she doesn't want to shake hands?

It was ten o'clock in the evening, Alicy's statement that she was going somewhere was true. After leaving the Calain Group company, Alicy went on a long trip to visit her parents.

Not paying attention to many things Alicy even intended to stay overnight. But all that stopped when she got a message from Joan that Alicy would start working tomorrow.

That requires Alicy to come back tonight too.

Alicy sat down on an empty bus seat, only she and a mother with her child, then a man who sat in the end seat and was asleep with his head down hiding his face.

Alicy looked at her watch, checking the approximate time she would arrive and saw that it was getting late at night. It feels like Alicy is so tired,

That made Alicy paralyze her consciousness.

Quiet..

That was the first thing Alicy saw when she got out of the vehicle. The night breeze penetrated Alicy's body. He walked hastily to get home quickly. However, that wasn't the only thing that made Alicy rush, but when Alicy felt someone following her.

Alicy turned around, intending to check whether she was really being followed or not. But at the same time Alicy's eyes widened when a man held an ax which he perched on his broad shoulder.

Not letting herself be swallowed by fear, Alicy ran to avoid it.

"Please, help me!"

Alicy ran and asked for help when the figure continued to follow her, banging on several houses to ask for help but unfortunately no one answered.

"Help me please!" Alicy's body was shaking violently, she was already crying softly for help until a hand grabbed Alicy from behind.

Alicy was dragged into a narrow alley between the houses of local residents.

"HAHAHAHA,....."

The voice echoed like an echo in a dark and deep abyss, Alicy cried when what dragged her was Jiru's figure.

"I finally caught you!" Jiru cheered happily and pushed Alicy down.

BUUUUGHHHHH...

The blow of the ax hit the wall behind Alicy's body. It seemed that Jiru wanted to play a little with Alicy, his prey that he had let go for the last four years.

Jiru crouched down to align his body with Alicy, the big ax in his hand he hit lightly in front of Alicy.

"Don't you want to say hello to our meeting now?"

Alicy shook her head, she was reluctant to even look at Jiru when the mask was really scary and only two inches away from her face.

"Alicy Swan... look at me! I beg you..." he said again in a sensual tone that managed to make Alicy shiver when he heard his voice.

As a result Alicy opened her eyes, she cried again when Jiru stroked Alicy's face with his axe.

"You know? I want you so much!"

Jiru played it slowly, like stroking with the back of his hand "You were supposed to be my bride four years ago, but it turns out you really like playing with your Jiru! And now I managed to catch you again, so come on... come back to be my bride?"

Alicy shook her head "Please let me go!"

"Don't want to be my bride?" Jiru said seeing Alicy shaking her head reluctantly. Jiru chuckled, then raised one hand to shake hands and said

"Then would you be friends with me?"

"V-Varenzel..." Alicy whispered when she received the same question from Varenzel.

Jiru got up and laughed, then he took off the mask he always wore. It was true that Alicy clearly saw that what was in front of her now was Varenzel.

Varenzel was grinning crazily.

And Varenzel who was swinging his ax at Alicy...

"Hhhh......"

Alicy gasped from her sleep,

It turns out that Alicy was just dreaming.

Wiping her face which was covered in sweat, Alicy swallowed her saliva with difficulty. The dream just now really drained his energy.

Alicy stared at the pitch black street, controlling her breath supply.

"Black Jiru,,, Varenzel?

Why, why can I dream like that?"

Early in the morning Alicy was ready to wear neat clothes, today she will work at Calain's company. But there wasn't the slightest happy look on Alicy's face. She even daydreamed a lot when the feeling of afraid started to hit him again.

Until she heard an incoming message notification on Alicy's cell phone, she took it and looked at who sent the message.

Alicy smiled when she saw the names Rhysica and Joan written on the screen, but Alicy's smile suddenly faded when she read the message from Joan which read

"Excited for your first day, Oh... and dress up a little, my brother said he was waiting for you!"

Alicy's heart was beating fast, but it was different from the beating of interest in general. In fact it was the throbbing fear in Alicy's heart of Varenzel's figure that made Alicy's naive mind run wild.

Maybe it's because of the dream he had last night.

Alicy stepped into the gate of Calain's company, she followed the people's steps while looking for Joan. But Alicy's steps stopped when what she found was Varenzel. The man was standing near the reception desk.

Varenzel was greeted by several of his subordinates very respectfully.

Until Varenzel looked at Alicy's presence Varenzel's smile suddenly grew wider.

"Good morning sir," said several female employees approaching him.

Varenzel responded with a smile, but his gaze often glanced at Alicy. Looking at the watch in his hand, Varenzel then walked along with the employees in the same division as him.

Entering the elevator to go up to the 16th floor, Alicy just looked down as the employees left the elevator one by one, until she was left standing behind and Varenzel and two other employees in front of Alicy.

The elevator opened on the tenth floor, Alicy looked at the two employees who came out of the elevator, that meant there were only him and Varenzel along with two other employees in front of him.

At the same time Varenzel backed away, hitting his back against the elevator wall next to Alicy.

Varenzel turned his head slightly to Alicy who was still looking down

"Welcome to the Calain Group," Varenzel began.

Alicy smiled and gave a small bow, making Varenzel sigh at Alicy's stiff response.

"Are you looking for something down there?"

"Yes?"

Varenzel smiled at Alicy's confused expression. "Hey Miss Swan... can't you express anything other than bowing to me?"

Then Varenzel turned his body completely to Alicy, he rubbed under his lips then said

"Hm... Maybe you can change your respectful greeting to say hello?"
