Chapter 3 The Agreement

Sofia gets the marriage contract at her apartment. She reads it carefully, but she is filled with uncontrollable emotions. There are so many strict rules. She knows she has to sign it, even if she doesn't like it.

Later, she returns to Blackwood Enterprises to meet Ethan again. They sign the contract there. Ethan made it clear that is all business. He emphasizes that they must look good in public and keep their lives separate. Sofia agrees but feels uneasy about her decision.

Now, it is Ethan's turn to think. He has doubts about this deal too. He remembers what his dad wanted before he passed away. This memory is why he is in this uncomfortable situation. Even though he's annoyed, he can't help but look at Sofia and admire how brave and calm Sofia is.

The chapter ends at the Blackwood estate. Sofia is moving in as Mrs. Blackwood. The big mansion feels strange to her. Ethan shows her to her room but keeps it formal.

Both Sofia and Ethan feel the tension in their new arrangement. Sofia wonders if she can actually fit into Ethan's world. Ethan devotes strength to hiding his feelings and maintains a steady posture.
