Chapter 2 The Meeting

Sofia is getting ready to meet Ethan Blackwood for the first time. She feels a bit anxious. As she fixes her outfit in her small apartment, she practices what to say. Thoughts about her arranged marriage and her parents' past keep running through her mind, making her even more nervous.

When she gets to Blackwood Enterprises, she's amazed by how fancy it is. The lobby is huge, the floors sparkle, and everyone seems serious. This only adds to her nerves. While waiting, she overhears people talking about Ethan's tough reputation. She takes a deep breath to try to calm her racing heart.

Ethan is in his fancy office when Sofia enters. At first, he seems uninterested. It feels like this meeting is just another task for him. But as Sofia walks in, her quiet strength catches his eye, even if he tries to hide it.

Their conversation is tense. Ethan lays down the rules-it's all business, no feelings. Sofia is nervous but stands her ground. She makes it clear that she's serious.

After the meeting, Sofia feels confused about the man she's supposed to marry. Ethan watches her leave, curious for a moment. But he quickly shakes it off and gets back to work.
