*CORA*

"I.I came to.the divorce proceedings."My voice broke as I tried hard not to blink.

I had tears on my eyes and I was trying so hard not to let them fall.

I couldn't cry in front of these people.

They've already made fun and played with me enough.

I couldn't give them the satisfaction of watching me break down,completely.

So I let out."I need to use the restroom."With that,I hurried off.

I had to calm down.

I had to get back my composure.

I walked into the restroom and splashed water on my already red face and then I retouched my make up.

I took a deep breath as I stared at my reflection on the mirror.

"It's okay,Cora.You can do this.You're going to go over the divorce procedures with him and then,get the hell out of here."

Sure it hurt a great deal that Phoebe was here and they might have officially gotten back together again,but it was fine.

I was going to be okay.

I was going to get okay him soon.

After managing to build back my confidence a bit,I walked out of the restroom to see Phoebe leaning beside the door.

I didn't really wanted to talk to her right now but she hurried up to me and blocked my way.

"You just don't know when to give up,do you?Cora,how can you shamelessly show up here?Tristan is my man now.As you can see,he has stopped hiding our relationship,he has officially told his mom that we've gotten back together and you can obviously see how happy his mom was with the news so why can't you just leave my man alone?"

My fists clenched."Stop overthinking,Phoebe,and your man isn't worth fighting for."I waved the paper on her face."We're going to finalize our divorce so you don't need to be so insecure.You claim that you two are finally together again but look at you,you look so bothered with my presence."

Phoebe gasped."Do you seriously think I see you as a love rival.You don't even stand a chance."

"I don't but why are you here?Why are you standing in front of me trying to make me think you're worth something to Tristan.Then again,if you were worth anything to me,I don't see why he had stayed married to me for three years."I drawled,mockingly.

I could see anger flash in her eyes."You're just jealous."She snapped.

I shrugged."Oh,Phoebe,I perfectly understand how you feel.I was once in your shoes,people like you would do anything and choose to believe anything when they're in pursuit of a man but I've realized that Tristan is not really worth fighting for so I'm going to leave you to continue chasing after him alone."

"You!"Phoebe thundered and pushed me.

I wasn't expecting that man and I feel and hurt my elbow.

"Chasing after him?He's already mine.Sure,you two might be married for three years but I know he didn't touch you,he couldn't stand the sight of you but he's all over me when we're together.You are the one who choose to believe anything,you chased after him like a hopeless dog yet you remained unimportant to him.Days ago,on your third anniversary,he came to me,all he talked about was wanting to get rid of you.all he talked about was needing me in his life,and you have no idea how good we made love while you waited stupidly for him."

And that made me furious,I lost my temper,got on my feet and grabbed her by the hair.

"Ahh,let go of me!"Phoebe struggled but I kept swinging her by the hair.

I didn't expect her to be so weak and I used that to my advantage as I slammed her against the wall.

I had never been a violent person but right now,all I could think about was the many times Tristan must have spent with this woman while we were married.

He told me we couldn't have sex with other people.If all he had wanted was to be with this woman,why didn't he just tell me?

Why didn't he just tell me that he wanted to be with Phoebe instead?

Even if it had hurt,I would have let him go to her.

No matter how much I might love a man,I could never share him with anyone.

He shouldn't have wasted three years of my life when he knew that there was someone else he wanted to be with.

It hurts so much that while I was being his loyal and loving wife,he was screwing someone else.

Phoebe kept shouting at the top of her voice but I was too enraged to let her go.

"What the hell.!"

That voice snapped me out of my rage.

I saw Tristan run up to us and I finally let go of Phoebe.

Phoebe burst into tears,immediately.

"Tristan,Tristan.oh Tristan,she wanted to kill me."

I rolled my eyes.

"What the hell happened?"Tristan asked.

"I.I was going to the bathroom to ease myself when she stopped me and started to ask what I was doing in her husband's house,she didn't even give me the chance to explain when she started hurting me."Phoebe cried out more.

"I stopped you?"I asked,incredulously."You're such a fucking liar."I shot at her.

"Cora,I saw you hurting her.What the hell is wrong with you?"Eugene lashed out.

I blinked."You."

"No,seriously,what is your problem?What is going on with you?You're so different from the Cora I used to know.Why are you so mean and violent?"He yelled.

I bit my lower lip.

It wasn't as if I expected him to take sides with me though but his words hurt.

"Tristan,it's okay.I'm going to be okay.I only have an headache now but I'll be fine.I shouldn't have come here.I didn't mean to make you two argue because of me."Phoebe said in a very weak voice as she leaned against Tristan.

"How about you start acting,Phoebe?You really are a good actress."I sneered.

"Shut it,Cora!And apologize to her now!"

When I said he wasn't worth fighting for.

I didn't fully mean that.

But now I do.

I meant it with every fiber of my being.

Tristan Godoy wasn't worth fighting for.

We really needed to get over the divorce procedures as soon as possible so I never have to see his face ever again.

"You have no idea what really happened between me and this woman so you have no right to tell me to apologize."I snapped.
