Ignoring their contempt, Emily walked straight to the new arrivals section.

A simple, loose-fitting ivory dress she had designed was displayed on a mannequin.

The dress was chic and elegant, perfect for her to wear to the Thomas family banquet tomorrow.

Just as Emily reached out to touch the dress, the head saleswoman hurried over, her words dripping with sarcasm. "Hold on, Miss. If you can't afford it, don't dirty the dress."

The other sales assistants started whispering among themselves, "I saw the news about the Parker family. She looks just like the second daughter of the Parker family."

Another assistant asked, "The one who went to prison for three years for putting someone in a vegetative state?"

The first girl replied, "Yeah, that's her. She caused a scene at her stepsister's wedding yesterday and still dares to go shopping."

Hearing their chatter, Emily let out a cold laugh.

Then she turned to the head saleswoman and said calmly, "I'll buy this dress. Please wrap it up for me."

The head saleswoman's eyes widened in disbelief, "You're actually buying it?"

At that moment, a sharp, coquettish voice rang out, "Lily, is this the new arrival designed by the designer, Mira?"

The head saleswoman, Lily Hopkins, turned to see who it was and immediately flashed a bright smile, warmly welcoming the newcomer, "Miss Hines, it's an honor to have you here. This dress on is indeed the new arrival, Mira's latest work, globally limited to eight pieces."

Her friends started to cheer, "Yes, yes, Bob is young and capable, a perfect match for Harper! Ethan is old and crippled, what a joke!"

Harper was bashful as she twisted her body, "Alright, alright, stop it. Ethan is Bob's ninth uncle after all. Bob will be here to pick me up later, don't let him hear this, it might affect his impression of me."

Emily silently listened on the side, realizing that this was the woman who stood Ethan up yesterday, the eldest daughter of the Hines family, Harper.

She could accept paying a hundred thousand dollars for a dress, but not 8.88 million. If she bought this dress, her dad would kill her.
