Chapter 7 Order

I opened my eyes suddenly, with a sense of doom.

I slept off yesterday night after crying my eyes off. There was nothing else I could do anyway and the door was locked.

Elixir didn't come back or maybe she was prevented from doing so.

Anyway, last night was the worst of all nights. I can't believe my life would turn out to be like this.

The thought of what I will face in the next three days makes my heart skyrocket. I might as well die before I'm able to prove my parents' innocence.

The door opened suddenly, startling me for a moment. Before I could blink, four maids walked inside.

They hesitated briefly as Elixir walked inside.

"Good morning Luna. It's time to get clean," she said respectfully as if she was really talking to the Luna.

Well, she just didn't want the maids to know I'm not the Luna. That will be a serious problem for me. She's merely watching out for me.

I nodded once and got off the bed.

"The Luna is to get ready in an hour," Elixir ordered.

I was not in control of anything anymore. I was handled like a princess, a true Luna.

Within an hour, I was clean and fully dressed.

Then it dawned on me that Tito was coming that morning. She did say that yesterday anyway.

The maids walked away, except for Elixir. I perceive she has something to tell me.

She however didn't disappoint me when she turned towards me the moment the last maid walked out of the room.

"How are you, mistress? Did something happen between you and the Alpha yesterday?" she asked, with worry.

I'm so glad to have someone like her.

I released a sigh. "I fear the Alpha will kill me soon. It feels like he's barely stopping himself with every ounce of his strength," I explained.

Elixir released a sigh of relief. "The Alpha is always dangerous when he's angry," she looks away, lost in thought for a moment. Then, she jerks up and looks at me again. "Oh yes, is there anything I can do for you? I have been dismissed till 4 pm today."

"What! Dismissed?"

Elixir nodded once. "Madam Tito is taking you. She's very harsh and as wicked as the Alpha. Sometimes, I wonder why they aren't mates because they have a lot in common."

Despite my condition, I laughed.

"Then this whole world will be in ruin," I cracked.

Elixir laughed as well.

She became sober suddenly and glanced at the wall clock. "Tito will be here soon, I have to leave now."

For a lot of reasons, I didn't want her to leave. She's the only one I'm comfortable with around here. Besides, would I face all those pains alone?

I nodded nonetheless. "You can watch out for the Luna. She's the only one that can save me."

Elixir nodded in understanding and walked out.

The door opened almost immediately and Tito walked in with the other girls from earlier.

Tito dropped a book in front of me. "Everything you need to know today is in that book. So, read," she ordered.

I picked the book up slowly and opened it to the front page.

Closest cousin: Rowan Savaldore, an Alpha king from the North.

And it suddenly dawned on me why they really need me. Rowan, being an Alpha king, could wage war on Alpha Xavier.

It would surely be bloody and a lot of people would die. And to avoid that, they need to find the Luna. And in the meantime, make me pretend to be one.

I opened the next page and Gwen's favorite was writing on it.

I started assimilating it.

"Stop!" Tito yelled suddenly and I jerked back. I was already starting to doze off.

She regarded me for a moment. "It looks like you are done and ready for the questions."

Already? How long have I been reading?

My gaze went to the small wall clock on the wall. I've been gone for an hour. Well, that sure was fast.

She took the book in front of me before I could say something else.

"What's the name of Rowan's pack?"

"The dark orb."

Tito rolled her eyes as if she was expecting me to get it wrong.

She asked me a couple of more questions which I answered to the best of my knowledge.

She released a sigh and stepped back. "Good. You did great. I will ask you these questions tomorrow before we start tomorrow's lesson," her voice was suddenly soft.

It feels like she was impressed.

I nodded quickly. The last thing on my mind is upsetting Tito.

I glanced at the wall clock and I'm having an extra hour and a half for me. I could swiftly move into investigation with that even though I have no idea where to start from.

"Stand!" Tito ordered suddenly.

I blinked once but I complied immediately.

"Strip!"

What!

It was as if I didn't hear her correctly.

"I don't like repeating myself," she suddenly grew cold.

I still don't understand it. Why am I supposed to undress?

Tito looked at the girls and slowly nodded her head.

Two girls moved closer quickly and the clothes were ripped off me so fast.

I was suddenly standing half-naked in front of Tito. I was only with my bra and pants. Damn, I couldn't take it any longer.

"Why are you doing this? What do you want from me?" I burst out.

She regarded me for a moment and slowly moved closer to me. She hit me so hard in the face.

"You are a maid here, Autumn. Don't think you can do it anyhow because you are currently pretending to be Luna."

I felt a stab of annoyance immediately and glared at Tito.

She slapped me again and I felt my head turn. Damn, I was going to die if care wasn't taken.

"You are a slave!" She slapped me again. "And I will not stop reminding you until it sticks to your skull!" She yelled and slapped me again.

I could not handle the pain any longer. I fell to the ground unconsciously.

"You still don't understand?" She laughed evilly. "You are the Alpha's slave and he can do to you as he wishes. You are not to complain but obey. If you complain, you will only make life unbearable for yourself!" She yelled the last statement.

My head was reeling and the pain was slowly eating my cheeks.

"Stand!" She muttered.

Damn! My feet responded immediately.

She watched me for a moment. "Get naked!"

My breath hitched at the order. But I couldn't think, pain was slowly eating me away.

"You want to be stubborn? Girls! The usual!"

I almost stop breathing. Am I going to get whipped again, with wolfbane?

The pain from yesterday was agonizing. Could I bear such a burden again?

I unhooked my brazier immediately.

The maids were coming towards me but Tito stopped them when I started undressing.

In a few minutes, I was stark naked in front of Tito.

Damn! I'm really embarrassed.

Tito walked closer to me. "If you love yourself, obey the Alpha or you will suffer for it! Besides, I'm here to make life unbearable for you! Watch out!" She threatened and stepped out of the room.

The girls followed quickly.

Meanwhile, I was still thinking. What does the Alpha really want from me?
