Chapter 5 5

When Rage, Lupe, and Sylvia arrived at the camp, there was a strange silence. They feel the weight of what they learned from the old library, but they know they can't wait long. They immediately gathered with the leaders of their pack, Topaz and some veteran warriors, to discuss the impending danger.

In the middle of the camp, everyone gathered around a big fire that served as a symbol of their unity. The faces of each warrior were filled with courage, but beneath that courage, there was tension and an inexplicable fear that enveloped their flock. They were all ready, but they knew that this battle was deeper, heavier than any battle they had faced.

"What we learned from the library was more profound than we expected," Rage began as he eyed each warrior in front of him. "It's not just a battle of physical strength. There are shadows of the past returning-traitors from the ancient clan of werewolves. They brought the curse upon us, and now they rise again."

The warriors exchanged a hushed murmur, but it was quickly silenced when Lupe spoke again. "We cannot give in to fear. This curse is rooted in our race's treacherous history, but we have a way to break it. There is a ritual long buried in history that can free us from this curse."

Lupe looked at Rage, knowing that he was also thinking deeply. "The ritual requires the heart of the alpha and his mate. Together we will face this challenge to break the curse."

Topaz's lips parted, obviously surprised. "Ritual? What do you mean? How can we be sure that this is the way to defeat the enemy?"

Sylvia explained the details of the ritual, the symbols, and the ancient pacts that bind the clans of werewolves. "This is what the early alphas use to break curses and protect their races. But it takes deep trust and love to do it. There can be no doubt, no fear. Otherwise the ritual can backfire and make the curse even stronger."

The warriors listened in silence. They feel the gravity of the situation, but there is also their trust in their alpha and their Luna. They knew no one else could do it but Rage and Lupe.

"If this is what it takes to protect our herd, we will do it," Rage said, his voice full of determination. "But we have to be ready. We can't rush. We have to perform the ritual at the right time, and in the right way."

Topaz came closer, holding Rage's shoulder. "We've got your back, Rage. You know we're always here to support you, no matter what."

Rage smiled, but he felt the weight of the decision in his heart. It is not just a simple battle of swords and strength; it is a fight with a sacrifice involved-a sacrifice they may not like the outcome of.

After the meeting, the warriors split up to prepare for the upcoming ritual. While the others prepared weapons and protection, Lupe and Rage quietly walked to the edge of the forest. They want to have private time to discuss their plan, but most of all, they want to feel their connection before jumping into the ritual.

"Rage," said Lupe as she sat under a large tree, "are you ready to do this? I know how difficult the ritual is, and it may not succeed if there is doubt in your heart."

Rage stared at Lupe, his eyes filled with love and assurance. "There is not the slightest doubt, Lupe. I am ready to sacrifice everything for our herd and for you. I know we will get through this together."

Lupe smiled, but there was a slight worry in her heart. "This ritual is not to be taken lightly, Rage. Once we begin it, there is no turning back. But I am confident that as long as we are together, we will overcome anything."

Rage stood up, grabbed Lupe's hand, and stood her up. "We will face this ritual together. There is nothing we cannot overcome, Lupe. Our love will give us the strength to end this curse."

That night, they gathered again in the middle of the camp, along with the herd leaders and Sylvia. They laid ritual symbols on the ground, drawn with ancient plants of power. Each step was carefully followed, based on what was stated in the books they found.

In front of everyone, Rage and Lupe stood in the middle of the symbols, holding each other's hands. The entire camp was silent, everyone felt the weight of the ceremony they were about to perform.

"Let's begin," Sylvia said, standing to the side and beginning to recite the ancient words from the ritual. His voice was deep, full of power, while the air around him seemed to be gradually cooling down. The symbols on the ground lit up, enveloping Rage and Lupe's bodies in a heavy but warm energy.

Rage felt a strange warmth enveloping him, but despite it, he also felt a force coming from within him-a power he had never experienced before. He looked at Lupe, and in his eyes there was both strength and courage.

"This ritual is not only against the curse," Sylvia said as she continued to recite the words. "It's also against any fear or doubt you have. Your love will be your weapon against the enemy."

Rage and Lupe's grip tightened on each other. They feel the power of the ritual enveloping their bodies. The ancient power of their ancestors seems to flow through their veins, but at the same time, there is also a heavy fear that can envelop their minds.

In the middle of the ritual, Rage felt a strange flow of energy. It was as if a voice from his mind was challenging his confidence, whispering doubts.

"Can you really protect everyone?" whispered voice. "Are you willing to sacrifice your own happiness for your flock? What if you fail?"

Rage quickly took a deep breath, but in an instant, he felt Lupe tighten his grip on his hand. He looked at Lupe, and he saw love and assurance in her eyes.

"I won't let you go, Rage," Lupe whispered. "We'll get through this together. There's no doubt about it."

At that moment, Rage felt his strength returning. He replied to Lupe, "Yes, we are together. I have no fear, I have no doubts."

They refocused their concentration on the ritual, and as Sylvia continued to recite, the symbols around them suddenly flared brightly. The air in the camp began to swirl, seeming to recognize the power they were emitting.

And with a loud burst of light, everything suddenly stopped. Rage and Lupe felt a sudden release of power wash over them-a deep and dull one

inding energy to destroy the curse that surrounds their herd.

The entire camp was silent, and in the middle of the light, Rage fell to the ground, panting and exhausted, but knowing that they had succeeded. Lupe reached over, touched her face, and smiled. "It's over, Rage. We've broken the curse."

Rage smiled, but under that smile, he could still feel the fatigue and the weight of the sacrifice they had made. But he knows that as long as he and Lupe are together, there's no threat they can't face.

That night, as the camp quietly returned to their tents, a new day dawned. They know they still have a lot to face, but they also know their love is what will bring them to victory.
