Chapter 4 4

The old library they walked into was quiet, full of dust and old books that seemed to have been untouched for a long time. Rage, Lupe, and Sylvia walked in quietly, immediately feeling the weight of history enveloping every corner of the room. The walls were full of carvings of ancient symbols, stories of their ancestors that seemed to be waiting to be read again.

In the center of the library, there was a large table full of books that seemed so clearly laid out, but under each page, Lupe could feel the weight of the past. "Here we will find the answers," he whispered, looking at the books that contained the story of their race.

Sylvia, known more for her knowledge of herbs than history, seemed quieter than ever. "These books are not random. Every page can hold secrets we never expected to discover."

Rage began to search quietly, his eyes sharpening as he flipped through the pages of a large book placed in the center of the table. Ancient symbols seemed to blaze on every page, but the more he read them, the more he felt that there was a deeper story hidden.

"Here are the names of the ancient clan," Rage said as he pointed to the words engraved on the page. "These are the first alphas that started our race. The clans of the Howl Clan are well known, but there are names here that I have never heard of."

Lupe came closer, staring at the words Rage was pointing at. "These names... I think I've heard them in my family's old stories," Lupe whispered, seeming to remember something from the ancient stories she heard as a child.

"These are the clans that have been erased from history," Sylvia said, her voice full of concern. "They are the clans that disappeared so suddenly, as if they never existed. These stories are rarely spoken, because the elders are afraid of what might return from their secrets."

Rage looked at the other pages, and in an instant, something struck him. "Our new enemies... they may come from one of these lost clans."

Lupe was silent at what he said. "If that is true, it means that the threat to us today is not only from the present time, but from the deeper history of our race."

Their eyes met, they both understood the gravity of what they were discovering. The enemy they now face may be part of their history, but this power seems to be returning to haunt the present. This is not just a simple war-it is a battle that crosses generations, the past histories of their clans.

As they continued to turn the pages, a symbol appeared to them. A strange shape that seems to have secret powers. Lupe was the first to notice it, the symbol seemed to have a strange pull on him. "What is it?" he asked, reaching out a finger to touch the carving of the symbol.

Sylvia immediately grabbed Lupe's hand, stopping him. "Don't do it, Lupe. We don't know the power of this symbol."

He and Rage looked at each other, both wondering what exactly was the secret behind that symbol. "Why does it seem to have strange powers?" Rage asked as he examined the symbol more closely. "It seems to have a connection to the curse we faced."

Sylvia looked at them, her eyes seeming to light up with knowledge from ancient stories. "This symbol is a sign of an ancient pact. The clans of werewolves used to have pacts established to protect each other against threats from the outside. But according to the story, there was one clan that betrayed the others, so there was a great war that erased their name from history."

"Clan of traitors..." Lupe whispered, gradually understanding the gravity of what they were discovering. "This may be the reason why they suddenly disappeared from history. The remaining clans banished them because of their treachery."

"And now," said Rage, "those captives may return. They are the remnants of the lost clan-traitors attempting to rise again with the power of the curse."

Lupe stood up and faced Rage, her eyes full of courage. "If they are the ones coming back, we need to know how to deal with them. We need to prepare, Rage. We can't be complacent."

Rage nodded. "You're right. We need to know all the connections of these traitor clans, and how they were defeated before. Maybe the key to their defeat is also in history."

They continued to search for answers, each page of the book seeming to provide a clue to what they were looking for. As they continued to read, they sensed that a greater threat was approaching. It's not an enemy they can physically see-it's a force that envelops their hearts and minds, looking for a weakness to enter.

"Here," Sylvia said, finding a part of the book that seemed to contain an ancient ritual. "This is what the early clans used to defeat traitors. A ritual that removes the curse from werewolves who attempt to cover up their treachery."

Lupe stared at the words. "But it requires great sacrifice. This ritual is not taken lightly. It requires the hearts of two leaders-an alpha and his true mate."

Rage was silent. That ritual seemed to teach them a heavy step. It is not simply a battle of strength and speed; they have to trust their love to break the curse. But the sacrifice the ritual demands seems to hold the possibility of losing their power or a deeper reward.

"We're talking about," Rage said, looking deeply at Lupe. "Me, as the alpha, and you, as my true mate."

Lupe felt the weight of his words, but in his heart, he knew he was ready for whatever they had to face. "If this is what it takes to lift the curse and destroy the enemy, we will. I am ready, Rage."

Rage held Lupe's hand, he could feel the warmth of love that gave him strength. "Only we will prevail against them. Our love will be the weapon against this force."

Under the lights of the library, they felt the weight of their mission. Their love will be the key to ending the curse and destroying the resurgent force from the past.

Before they left, they gathered all the information from the books. They are ready to return to their herd and share what they have learned. This fight is not only physical, but also against their fears, doubts, and shadows of their past.

As they headed back to camp, Rage felt his strength return. He and Lupe will fight together, and he knows that with each step, with each trial, their love will be their most powerful weapon.

But behind them, there was the harvest

that still shrouds their history-an enemy that has yet to fully reveal its true face. But as long as Rage and Lupe are together, no fear or threat can defeat them. They know their love is the most powerful curse that will end all their enemies.

Under the moon, they return to their herd, with answers and ready for the next phase of their war.
