Chapter 5 .

Vivian's face widened in panic. She was so afraid that Michael would be injured because he wanted to defend her.

She would put a stop to the attack instantly if she had the capacity. Unfortunately, time can never be retrieved.

Meanwhile, Michael's eyes closed shut, and he heard the robotic voice.

[Make a wish and consider it granted in a millisecond.]

Michael remembered everything that happened last night and whispered, "I wish to become the greatest martial artist in the world."

Ding!

In a flash, the hologram appeared, and he could see it in his mind.

[Congratulations, Michael Quinn. You're now the greatest martial artist in the world.]

Michael felt a surge of energy flow into his memory. Numerous fighting techniques were popping up in his mind.

Then his eyes opened wide, grabbing Blade's fist with ease. "You made a wrong move." Michael spat on his face before breaking his wrist.

"Arghh!!" Blade groaned as his wrist made a cracking sound. "Bam!" Michael's punch landed hard on his chest, making the guard fall on his back, groaning.

They all gasped in shock, staring at Michael in disbelief.

Vivian was utterly stunned. She was so surprised and impressed by Michael's fighting skills. 'Does it mean Michael Quinn has been hiding his fighting skill all this time?'

She knew Michael had been severely bullied and that he couldn't do anything about it. She wondered what was going on now.

Michael sensed the tension in the atmosphere, and then he said, "I don't mean to cause any trouble. Therefore, I will be taking my leave."

"Where do you think you're going?" The manager barked in the middle of his bewilderment.

Before Michael could turn to look at Jack, the manager had signaled his remaining guards. They rushed forward and circled Michael.

Their faces looked so enraged and determined. They aimed to damage Michael's limbs and cripple him.

In a second, they all launched their attack on him at once. Surprisingly, Michael clashed with all the attacks simultaneously with incredible speed.

"Thud!" All the guards fell to the floor, crying in pain.

Jack's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. This was unbelievable to him.

Jack had relied so much on these guards. He never believed a kid like Michael could defeat them in just a few minutes.

Jack bit his lips in anger as he saw the crowd gathered, watching the surprising scene.

He felt it would be an unending shame for him if he allowed Michael to leave the restaurant triumphantly.

He searched through his mind but couldn't think of anything reasonable to do. He walked closer to Michael and sneered,

"Do you think I would consider you and employ you again after all the damage you have caused? Huh?"

Michael smiled slightly, "Working as a waiter in Skyline is in the past. I would rather purchase the restaurant and employ you as a cleaner instead."

Jack froze, then burst into roaring laughter. "What do you think of yourself, wastrel? Even if you work very hard for 1000 years, you can never afford Skyline."

"You think so? What if I purchased it right now?" Michael asked in a serious tone.

"Kid, wake up from this long nightmare. It's not even 1000 years yet." Jack laughed harder.

Michael turned away from the annoying Jack and asked Vivian, "Miss Noah, I heard Mr. Peterson is putting Skyline up for sale."

"You are right, Michael. Skyline has been going through some underground crises, which made the owner of the restaurant, Mr. Peterson, decide to sell it off."

Michael nodded his head before he asked calmly, "How much is the price?"

"I would need to call Mr. Peterson to ask for the current price," Vivian replied, and Jack snapped at her immediately as the lady brought her phone to make the call.

"What are you trying to do, Vivian? Do you want to disturb Mr. Peterson, because of this poor thing? Does he even look like he has the money to feed himself, let alone purchase Skyline?"

"Even though Michael might not have the capability to purchase it, I don't think asking Mr. Peterson for the price is a bad idea." The beauty turned away from the manager.

Then she put the call on speaker, and a deep voice came from the other end of the phone.

"What's the matter, Vivian?"

"Hello, Mr. Peterson. I called to ask for the current selling price for Skyline," she asked politely.

"The price is ten million dollars. Do you have a buyer?"

"I... would say..." Michael noticed Vivian was stuttering, and he gave her an assuring nod.

"Yes, sir. That was why I called."

"If that's true, three percent of the payment is yours after the transaction." The call ended.

Vivian went silent. She didn't know if she should start rejoicing or drag herself back to reality.

Sincerely, in any form, Michael didn't look like he could even afford the cheapest furniture in Skyline, let alone the whole restaurant.

"Here's my card; I want to make the payment." Michael stretched an old debit card to Vivian.

Seeing how rough the card was, the onlookers burst into a roaring laughter.
