EVE POV*
I woke up early with the intention of training. This new body gets tired quickly, unlike my old one, which could endure anything.
I wore black leggings and a white fitted tank top; I also brought a towel and water. It was already 4:35 in the morning, and Elisha would knock at my room around 7:00 AM for breakfast, so I only had 2 hours and 25 minutes.
I clicked the button on the side of the cabinet, opening the secret room. I warmed up first, then began with basic exercises, mindful not to push this frail body too hard. By 6:30, I returned to my room and showered. I dressed in black baggy pants, a white fitted polo crop top, and black Martin boots, and put on glasses that suited my new face. As I dried my hair, I heard a knock-Elisha, no doubt.
I opened the door to find her staring at the floor.
"What?" I asked coldly.
"Lead the way," I said. she said, still looking at the floor.
What is she looking at? Dust?... Tss.
"Just call me Eve."-" She couldn't finish her sentence as I looked at her coldly.
She began to walk, and I followed her.
As we passed through the palace, I observed my surroundings for the first time. The grand chandelier glittered with crystals, and the long staircase with its red carpet led to a wide hallway lined with palace knights.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when a knight announced my arrival.
"The Princess Ezra has arrived." I looked at him coldly.
"From now on, call me Eve," I instructed. He bowed and apologized.
So, we're here.
"Greetings to the Kings and Queens of different kingdoms," I greeted them coldly.
Why are they here? Are they having a meeting? But one kingdom's rulers are not present.
"Greetings, my daughter. Please, take a seat beside me," Queen Cynthia said.
I nodded and sat beside her. There were many dishes, so I took what I wanted and began eating, ignoring the stares.
"Staring is rude, Your Highnesses," I said coldly.
THIRD PERSON POV
The Kings and Queens averted their gazes, startled by the icy tone. From the moment she entered, they noticed the change in her attire; previously, she wore long skirts and oversized clothes. Now, she walked confidently, unlike before when she had always been hunched over. At first, we did not believe Queen Cynthia's words about her memory loss and transformation due to her actions; her aura was unmistakably different. She barely spoke now, and when she did, her words were icy.
Queen Cynthia cleared her throat, drawing everyone's attention.
"Please, Kings and Queens, introduce yourselves to my daughter," she said.
Just as a queen was about to speak, the princess interrupted.
"No need," she said uninterestedly.
"Why, my daughter?" her mother asked.
"Book," she replied plainly.
She spoke just one word, but the kings and queens understood it immediately.
"Your brothers and the other royals are on a mission. Classes have already started, but you're enrolled. You'll take a test from the Headmaster. If you pass, you'll attend school. If not, you'll wait until next year."
"When?" she asked.
"Next week, my daughter. You need to rest," the queen said, and the princess nodded.
They looked at her as she suddenly stood up.
"I'm done. I'll take my leave," she said.
As she was about to exit through the door, she stopped, and everyone turned to look at her.
"What's the matter, my daugh-" Queen Cynthia began but was interrupted by a loud crash. They screamed and shut their eyes against the shattered glass. When they opened them, they were shocked to see the princess holding a sharp arrow aimed at a queen's forehead. How had she sensed the danger? How had she caught the arrow so swiftly?
"Anak, ayos ka lang ba?" her mother asked, but the princess didn't answer.
She examined the arrow, muttered a word that froze everyone in place, then placed it in front of the queen and walked away as if nothing had happened.
They watched her leave, unable to believe what they had witnessed. How had the weak princess done this? Or was she truly weak?
As the princess exited, the knights rushed in, having heard the crash. King Vladimir explained what had happened, and the knights immediately began searching for the culprit.
EVE'S POV
It's already evening, and I'm lying on my bed, reading. A sudden idea strikes me, and I quickly stand up, grabbing my cloak. I open my window and leap onto the tree branch outside. The cold breeze bites at me as I make my way to the center of the Fireous Kingdom, aiming for the Blaze Market.
I plan to go to the center of the Fireous Kingdom at the Blaze Market, a bustling area built around the Flamepeak Citadel. The market is always vibrant, with merchants selling fire-infused goods and rare minerals. I am also drawn there because of their enchanted and strong weapons.
I navigate the crowded streets and arrive at the Blaze Market. As I wander around, I notice a shop with no customers. Intrigued, I enter.
Inside, an old woman sits at the counter. I approach her.
"Greetings, ma'am. Do you have any daggers?" I ask politely, concealing my usual demeanor with a hint of kindness.
" the old woman replies, not understanding my initial question.
"Meron po ba kayong daggers?" I ask calmly. she says, leading me to a room filled with various knives.
" she says with a smile.
I scan the knives but find nothing that catches my eye. The old woman notices my disappointment.
I shake my head.
She walks over to a chest-like container and hands it to me. "
Curiosity piqued, I open the chest. Inside is a black dagger with red linings, its blade sharp and gleaming. As I hold it, I feel a surge of energy and see my name, "Eve," inscribed on the handle. It's perfect.
" the old woman says, but I barely hear her, entranced by the dagger.
I thank her and attempt to pay, but she refuses, insisting it's meant for me.
As I head back to the palace, I notice a group of men in black holding a little girl, about twelve years old. Initially, I dismiss it, but when she starts struggling and screaming, I follow them and throw my dagger at the man holding her.
THIRD PERSON POV
The man releases the girl, but another quickly grabs her.
"Who was that?" one of them yells.
"Find them, you fools!" another commands.
Eve steps out of hiding, facing the group. "Are you looking for me?" she asks chillingly.
The men turn to her, one sneering. "Who are you? Do you want to get involved?"
"I'm just a nobody," Eve responds coldly.
"Get lost, woman," another laughs.
"I'll leave when you give me the girl," she demands.
"Like hell we will," the man scoffs. "She's worth a lot of money."
"Then I'll take her by force," Eve says impatiently.
She moves swiftly, retrieving her dagger and slashing at the man holding the girl. Blood sprays, and the men recoil in horror.
"Scared already?" Eve taunts.
"A-attack her!" one of the men stammers.
"Put the child down!" Eve yells, advancing. One man charges at her, but she dodges and stabs him in the side.
"One," she whispers. The remaining six men surround her, underestimating her skill.
Another man draws a knife and lunges. Eve parries, their blades sparking. She quickly slashes him down. "Two," she mutters, eyes narrowing.
Three men attack simultaneously. Eve dances between them, her movements graceful and deadly. She strikes with precision, and one by one, they fall. "Three, four, five," she counts, determined.
The last two men hesitate, fear in their eyes. "You can run," Eve warns, her stance confident. They ignore her, charging in desperation.
Eve swiftly incapacitates one, then plunges her dagger into the other's chest. "Six," she whispers. The final man trips, fear paralyzing him. Eve approaches, dagger ready. "You're the last."
"P-please, forgive me! I'll let the girl go!" he begs. Eve knocks him out with the hilt of her dagger.
Turning to the terrified girl, she softens. "Come here," she says gently, kneeling.
"What's your name?" she asks, offering her handkerchief.
"S-Sierra," the girl replies, wiping her tears.
Eve recognizes the name but dismisses the thought. "Don't be afraid. I won't hurt you," she assures her.
Voices call out,
"Sierra!"
"Where are you?"
"Do you know them?" Eve asks.
"Yes, that's my father and mother," Sierra says.
"I'll leave you here. They're coming," Eve says.
"Thank you for saving me," Sierra says.
Eve smiles softly, ruffling Sierra's hair. "Take care, Sierra." She disappears just as the girl's parents arrive.
Sierra's parents, the king and queen of the Earthous Kingdom, ask what happened. Sierra recounts everything, including the mysterious woman's name.
"Yue," Sierra says, showing the handkerchief with the embroidered name. Her parents vow to find and honor her for saving their daughter.
