While Cristian folded his arms over his chest, his sharp eyes immediately fell on the woman. "What did you say?" he snapped firmly, his jaw starting to harden with emotion.
The jolt made Agatha's guts suddenly shrink; she swallowed hard. Just now, Agatha learned one fact: Cristian is an annoying and temperamental person.
Agatha smiled, showing a row of teeth, and then said, "Forget it, sir. I'm not here to fight, but I want to apply for a job, sir," she said with a sweet smile that showed white teeth.
"There is no job opening for you; go there!" Cristian expelled himself firmly, then stepped towards his desk with his hands buried in his pants pockets.
Not giving up until there, Agatha followed Cristian from behind while continuing to plead.
"Come on, sir. I need a job; it's up to you what job you want to give me. So I want to be an employee, manager, or CEO," said Agatha without stopping.
Cristian sat his ass on his favorite chair, and Agatha's glare returned from the grumpy master.
"Are you kidding?" Cristian pouted occasionally, glancing here and there to make sure the ghost didn't come suddenly. Cristian was a little surprised that there was no sign that the ghost would appear. It's the first time the ghost hasn't appeared in a long time; usually, even though Cristian is in a crowd, it always appears around him.
"Come on, sir. Please."
Cristian took a deep breath; his ears could be damaged if he kept hearing Agatha's babble. Finally, Cristian decided to give a chance to the careless woman in front of him.
"Okay, take out your documents, including your diploma and CV," Cristian said flatly. Raising one leg above the thigh arrogantly.
Agatha grimaced, biting her lower lip, and then said, "That's the problem, sir. I forgot to bring my CV," she replied, ending her signature smile.
While Cristian was growling furiously, his head would explode from holding back emotions if he kept confronting that woman. Just thinking about his life already makes him feel dizzy, plus a woman suddenly enters and makes him angry.
"Now you get out of here!"
"But sir, I beg you to give me a job. I want to do anything," Agatha begged to bring out the puppy.
"Well, now you go out and meet the head of the OB. Ask him to work with him!" Cristian snapped, unable to contain his emotions anymore.
Agatha winked innocently. "So, office girl, sir?" she asked for sure.
"Why? You don't want to? Now you get out of here before I change my mind!"
"Yes, sir, ready!" Agatha sprinted out of the room, occasionally glancing back at her fierce boss.
Bruck...
"Ows." That's Agatha, the reckless one who is never right when it comes to things. Even walking often bumps into something, like this time when she accidentally hit the door of the room.
"Who made the door here anyway?" Agatha grumbled, hitting the door in front of her, then continued to run away from the CEO's room.
A few minutes after Agatha left, Cristian returned to focus on his work. He was a little happy this time because the ghost did not appear earlier. From the beginning, Agatha came, and now the ghost did not wander as usual.
"Huh. Work is piling up because of that ghost," Cristian grumbled, ruffling his hair in frustration.
Just a few minutes later, Cristian breathed a sigh of relief, and he got goosebumps again. The gust of wind from the window grew stronger and stronger until the mosquito net covering it swayed aimlessly. The lights in the room suddenly turned on and off, and it was like that, as if someone had played a light switch.
Cristian started to get restless, his brown eyes moving erratically in case the ghost reappeared. A cold sweat ran down his forehead; his body seemed to freeze on the spot. Cristian's body trembled violently when his irises caught the ghost figure appearing in front of him; that half-destroyed face always made Cristian's heart beat faster. Cristian wanted to scream, but his tongue seemed numb and he couldn't make a sound.
"Help me," the soft voice of the ghost sounded in Cristian's ear.
Cristian's breathing up and down didn't necessarily hold back his fear; even though he was wearing glasses, he could still see the shape of the spirit like it was real.
"Go away! It's not all my fault. Please don't bother me!" Cristian screamed hysterically, then ran as fast as he could out of his room.
Cristian walked aimlessly away from his room, cold sweat still dripping down his forehead. "How long will my life be like this?" he muttered furiously, his fingers brushing his hair back.
"Excuse me, Mr. Cristian."
Cristian was about to scream when the voice suddenly sounded, but luckily he was able to stop it when he saw an employee calling out to him.
"What's wrong?" Cristian asked angrily, neutralizing his face to be as flat as usual.
"Sorry to disturb you, sir; I just wanted to say. If there is a meeting in ten minutes," said the employee while lowering his head, not daring to look at the fiercely high-level boss.
"Why are you telling me now? Where is the place?" Cristian again shouted at his employees, venting his emotions because of the curious ghost that always bothered him.
"I'm sorry, sir, in the meeting room where it is."
Without answering a word, Cristian just walked away. He was walking casually with his hands buried in his pants pockets and his faithful glasses perched on his pointed nose.
Arriving in the room, Cristian immediately sat down in his chair because his co-workers had been waiting for him for a long time.
"Good morning; sorry I'm late."
Everyone there nodded, and then the meeting was carried out as usual with wisdom and order.
On the other hand, Cristian doesn't listen to the explanations of his co-workers; the reason is still the same. The ghost was back again, and now it was right beside Cristian. Making the man freeze in place, he was speechless and couldn't even fully listen to their discussion. All Cristian did was lower his head, neutralizing the beating heart rate. Cristian chose to close his eyes rather than have to see the creepy apparition.
"Mr. Cristian, are you okay?" asked Hans-Christian's assistant and confidant.
