Chapter 2 Bad news

In another place, a beautiful woman with pure white skin with beautiful eyes was standing on the balcony of her room. Standing on the balcony railing with a sad face, her eyes filled with tears holding back tears. Her slender fingers gripped the phone tightly as if waiting to hear from someone.

"Until now there has been no news from you, Rico. What should I do, where are you? Why suddenly disappeared?" only the woman while looking at the cellphone which shows a photo of the man she has loved.

"Agatha!"

Her name is Agatha Caitlin, the woman who is often called Agatha turned her head. Her brown eyes stared at an old woman who was now approaching him. Agatha quickly wiped away the remaining tears.

"Mommy? What's wrong?" Agatha forced a smile, even though her heart was restless waiting for news from her lover who had been missing for several days. But Agatha doesn't like to show her sadness in front of people, especially in front of her mother.

Monica-Agatha's mother sighed, she stood late in front of Agatha. Her hand moved gently to caress Agatha's hair while saying, "Don't be sad, Agatha. I'm sure Rico will come back soon."

Hearing her mother's words, Agatha smiled faintly and nodded. That was the hope, but Agatha could not be relieved if Rico had not returned. Rico disappeared a few days ago, Agatha and Rico's family didn't even know where the man was. With that Rico was declared missing, and even now the police are still looking for the man's whereabouts.

"Oya, there's Jason outside," Monica spoke again.

Agatha was silent for a moment then said, "Why is he here at this time of night?"

"Mommy doesn't know either, you better meet her now." After saying that Monica walked away.

Without wasting any more time, Agatha went out of her room to meet Jason. Jason is Agatha's little friend, the man is very good with Agatha and will sacrifice anything to make Agatha happy.

Agatha smiled when she saw Jason sitting on the living room sofa, she immediately approached Jason and sat beside him.

"What's wrong? Why are you here?" asked Agatha straight to the point.

"I want to take you for a walk tonight, so you won't be sad all the time." Jason smiled at his best friend.

Agatha sighed, actually she didn't want to go anywhere because she was still worried about Rico. But Agatha also couldn't refuse Jason's invitation, finally, the woman nodded in agreement to Jason's invitation.

"Hmmm fine. I'll take my cell phone first," Agatha replied, then she got up from her seat.

Leaving Jason who was smiling, a lopsided smile I don't know what it means.

The night sky looks beautiful, with sparkling stars adorning it. The moon also seemed to shine brighter, and the cool night breeze added to the impression this night. It's cool to walk at night, but not for someone sad.

Agatha and Jason are now on the terrace of Agatha's house, they are preparing to leave. But there was no smile at all on Agatha's face, her gaze just kept staring blankly ahead.

"Agatha, this is the helmet!" Jason handed Agatha the helmet. However, the woman wearing the blue hoodie didn't say anything.

"Agatha!" Because there was no response, Jason called Agatha again with a louder voice.

Suddenly this made Agatha startled, her hand moved to hit Jason's arm, pouting her lips while looking at Jason sharply.

"Don't scream, Jason. You think I'm deaf?" Agatha grumbled disapprovingly, then took the helmet from Jason's hand roughly.

While Jason couldn't help but sigh, he was used to being treated like that when Agatha was sad. Just like other women out there, Agatha doesn't want to be blamed at all.

"Yes beautiful Agatha, come on up!" Jason said softly while ruffling Agatha's hair affectionately.

Agatha blew her thin, messy bangs, then got on the motorbike without saying a word.

"Shall we go now?"

Drrttt...

Agatha tapped Jason on the shoulder a few times as her phone rang. "Wait a minute, my cell phone is ringing," she said checking her phone.

"Who?" Jason asked.

"Rico's mother."

Jason nodded his head, letting Agatha take the call before they left.

"Hello, what's up auntie?"

"What?!"

Agatha's face changed instantly when Shofia-Rico's mother spoke on the other side, her brown eyes filled with tears again. It felt like her body was frozen, her heart constricted as if there was no oxygen around him.

"What's wrong Agatha?" Jason asked worriedly because he saw Agatha who wanted to cry from the rearview mirror.

Agatha immediately hung up the call, then wiped the tears that had just come out of her eyes.

"We're going to the hospital now Jason!" shouted Agatha.

"But why?"

"Rico is in the hospital! Come on quickly take me there."

Jason couldn't bear to see Agatha who spoke in a trembling voice holding back tears, the thing Jason disliked the most was seeing Agatha cry. Therefore Jason nodded and immediately stepped on the gas to go to the hospital.

Arriving at the hospital, Agatha immediately ran down the hall with tears already flowing. Not caring about everyone's stares, even Jason was left in the parking lot. Now Agatha just wants to find the whereabouts of Shofia, to make sure Rico's condition.

Brakk...

In her rush, Agatha accidentally bumps into someone and falls. Agatha's eyes met the sharp eyes of the man in the black suit, to the point where the man walked away without helping Agatha to stand. Just don't apologize, I don't know who's at fault.

Agatha sighed harshly, annoyed with the man. If not in a sad state, Agatha will curse and throw the man with a shoe.

"Agatha! Are you okay?" Jason suddenly appeared and helped Agatha up.

"Yeah, I'm fine, thanks, Jason." After saying that, Agatha went back to looking for Shofia's whereabouts.

It didn't take long, Agatha found Shofia who was crying in front of a room. Agatha slowly approached her, but her world seemed to collapse when she saw that the room was a morgue. The tightness in her chest was felt again, and Agatha froze in place. Tears welled up in her eyes, her heart seemed to be sliced open if her guess was right.

"No, this can't be!" Agatha still didn't move at all, her legs went limp for a moment. Why was Shofia in front of the morgue? This made Agatha's hopes even thinner, her mind was questioning.

"Agatha, let's make sure first. Don't jump to conclusions, I'm sure Rico will be fine." From behind Jason came, hugging Agatha and giving warmth to the woman.

Jason led Agatha to Shofia who was still crying bitterly in front of the morgue, Agatha's gaze did not move from the morgue writing on the door. Agatha can't think positively anymore.

"Agatha, are you coming?" Sofia walked over to Agatha and hugged her tightly. Shofia already considers Agatha as her daughter, because she knows Rico loves Agatha very much.

"Aunt Shofia, why are you here? Rico is fine right? Tell me if Rico is fine!" Agatha looked at Shofia with a sad look, tears kept coming out.

"Rico is dead, Agatha."

Three words that can ruin Agatha's life right now, hearing Shofia's words make Agatha's life seem to be ruined. Rico is dead, that word made Agatha lose her spirit in her life.

"No! There's no way Rico's dead! Rico can't possibly leave me! Auntie, tell me if it's not true!" Agatha burst into tears at that very moment, her world crumbling. Someone who has always loved him sincerely, someone who is always by his side, someone who always makes him smile, someone who makes her life beautiful, that someone is now far away. Even Agatha would never see him again. That sunny night witnessed the destruction of Agatha's life.

"You must be able to accept the reality of Agatha!" Yep, a very bitter truth.
