Hanry's mother's treatment of Jane made Hanry a little incredulous.
How could his mother get along with Jane so quickly? The first time his mother met his late wife, she seemed unwilling to say hello. It took time for the two of them to get along.
"I will, Madame. Thank you for the very warm welcome," Jane replied with a genuine smile.
Unknowingly, Hanry saw her, he pulled a smile on his face at the very warm sight in front of him.
Henry didn't show his warm smile easily. If he smiled, it meant that it pleased him.
"Jane, you get in the car first," Hanry said. Jane just obeyed.
She was like a daughter who followed whatever her father said.
"Don't hurt that woman's heart. Although your ages are far apart, I see her as a suitable woman to fill your heart again," his mother said.
Hanry's eyes glanced at his father, who simply nodded his head in agreement.
"Hanry, what about Robbie?" The question suddenly came out of his father's mouth.
"Right now, Hanry doesn't want to communicate with him, Dad. Because we don't get along anymore and he wants to do bad things," Hanry replied, not wanting to keep anything secret from his parents.
"Alright. If he's detrimental to DeMarco's business, just get rid of him. From the start, he was unreliable and very disobedient. Let him be a bum out there!"
It was nothing new that Hanry's parents disliked Robbie. Because the DeMarco family had always wanted the business to be passed down directly from their flesh and blood.
Apart from Hanry himself, if Robbie obeys him and is reliable, he can have Hanry's business no matter if Robbie is not his flesh and blood. However, it was different with his father.
Family dinners were just for the sake of reputation.
But now, Hanry didn't want to think about his reputation anymore. If his son became a dissident, he would get rid of him. No matter what the media said.
It was because of Robbie who did not know the gratitude of growing up in the DeMarco family.
Perhaps if it wasn't for Hanry's late wife who desperately wanted a child, Hanry wouldn't have thought of adopting a child.
"Alright, then take care of your health. Hanry will be back here again soon."
After saying goodbye to his parents. Hanry walked outside to get into the car.
"Why are you crying?" asked Hanry, having just landed his butt on the car seat. And soon realized that Jane was crying while staring at her phone screen.
"I told you not to open social media yet!" Hanry snatched Jane's phone from the blonde woman's hand.
He wanted to know what Jane was reading that was making her cry.
[Jane Wallace, you are a great whore! Don't you realize the reason you were born into this world is already a bad luck charm? Not recognized by your father. And in the end, your mother also had to live in misery because she was kicked out of the house!] One of the accounts, whose identity is unknown, made a post using a photo of Jane that was deliberately made to look like a prostitute and then filled with words like that.
It was Jane's fault for trusting Robbie too much at the time, telling him about her family problems. Because Jane needed someone to lean on, but she chose the wrong person.
So all her family problems were spread to social media, which of course is public.
Hanry quickly grabbed Jane's cell phone. "It must be Robbie, using a fake account. Damn, your son is so unlucky!" Jane cursed.
Maybe it was because she was about to start her period, she don't know why she cried so easily.
"Have you forgotten that you are now my girlfriend? Therefore, anything that bothers you, I will intervene immediately!" Hanry said, still holding back his annoyance, if Robbie did it, he vowed to make Robbie suffer for his actions.
He didn't realize why he was raising a monster!
"Gosh, come here!" Hanry pulled Jane into his arms.
At that moment, Jane burst into tears. Her crying sounded very painful. All Jane needed right now was a hug.
"Move now!" Henry ordered his driver, who had been listening to their conversation.
"Jane, never show your weak side in public. Especially, in front of the enemy. They'll all feel victorious if they see their enemy weak!" Hanry said.
Hanry's fingers wiped away the tears on Jane's cheeks. His lips continued to kiss Jane's eyes and finally kissed her lips.
That kiss was so gentle. There was no lust at all.
While kissing, Hanry felt an unusual vibration in his heart. So unconsciously, he pushed Jane's body slowly.
"You'd better rest. When I get there, I'll wake you up." While saying that, Hanry's movements were awkward.
Just imagine, a mafia man awkwardly kissing a 20-year-old woman.
"Alright." Jane was a little annoyed that Hanry just let go of the kiss.
Jane chose to sleep between Hanry's thighs. Her hands were wrapped around his waist and she brought her face close to his body. Seeking comfort there.
Seeing this, Hanry smiled slightly. He seemed to have rediscovered peace in his life.
During the trip, Hanry didn't move much. He didn't want to disturb the sleeping Jane. Meanwhile, his hands were busy playing with his cell phone.
[Tighten up the security over there. Also, don't let Robbie enter the darkroom area again! If he continues to argue, lock him up in the basement as well! I won't give him any more mercy this time!] Hanry typed to Ryan.
The reason he had come home early, was because he had gotten information that Robbie had forced his way into the dark room and talked to Lorenzo.
As Jane said, if Robbie was trying to find a mobster who had the same vision and mission, to destroy Hanry DeMarco's life.
Before that happens, Hanry is the one who will destroy both of their lives.
2 hours passed, and the car driven by his driver was parked at the DeMarco residence. Yeah, they had arrived in London.
Before he went to his company, Hanry drove Jane to his residence first. Because from now on, as agreed, they would be living together.
"Jane, it's here," Hanry said softly, waking Jane up.
"Mmmh, it's here, yeah." Jane rubbed her eyes, her newly awakened face looking adorable.
"Let me do it." Suddenly, Hanry carried Jane to his residence.
Not wanting to tire Jane out, he carried her inside.
Of course, that made Jane, who had not fully recovered, quite surprised.
"Oh my God, Mr. DeMarco ... You shouldn't be doing this!" she squealed.
But Hanry wasn't listening.
Hanry stepped into the elevator to head to his room.
Once in the room, he laid Jane down on the large bed.
"From now on, this will be your room ... I mean, our room!"
Jane looked around the room which was even bigger and more luxurious. It made her chuckle in disbelief.
"I'm going to the office for a while ... you just continue sleeping! Oh yeah, no need to worry, there will be bodyguards outside the room," Hanry said.
Well, this made Jane speechless. Was she in a fairytale world? Were the royal movies she had always seen now a reality in her life?
After saying that, Hanry walked towards the door. However, before he exited the room, Hanry sighed for a moment while slightly glancing at Jane.
"And from now on, don't call me Mr. DeMarco. Just call me Hanry."
Was there anything more surprising after this?
"Always keep an eye on Jane! Make sure she doesn't leave the room in my absence!" Hanry warned the two bodyguards standing guard in front of the door to Hanry's room, which was already closed tightly.
As he walked downstairs, Hanry smiled as he imagined Jane's expression when he told her not to call him Mr. DeMarco.
Wow, Jane's shocked expression was so cute!
Twenty minutes later, DeMarco's residence and his company were not too far away.
There, Ryan was already waiting for him at the office entrance.
"Where did Robbie go now?"
"He went back to his apartment, Mr. DeMarco," Ryan replied.
"Send three bodyguards to spy on Robbie. It looks like he's made a deal with Lorenzo!"
By then, Hanry was already at the front of the darkened room. His sharp eyes stared at his men who had been guarding the door to the dark room.
Suddenly, a punch landed perfectly, right on the bridge of his nose.
"Forgive me, Mr ... I was negligent." Hanry's men begged for forgiveness while kneeling.
"Fire him!" Hanry ordered Ryan.
This week, who knows how many people Hanry had fired because of their poor work; Hanry didn't want to pay money to people who could jeopardize his profession!
Therefore, being an employee of Mr. DeMarco had to be perfect. Since Hanry was offering a fantastic salary, of course.
While saying that, Hanry began to enter the dark room. He opened the door where Lorenzo was kept.
"Hello, Loser!" greeted Hanry with a hateful smile.
"Wow, Mr. DeMarco, if you think you've won by capturing me. Then you're sadly mistaken!" Cowering against the chill of the night, Lorenzo continued to return Hanry's gaze. There was no fear in him. This disgusted Hanry.
Because Lorenzo felt that he would be helped by someone very close to Hanry, namely Robbie.
"In that case, you'll stay here forever. Someone like you doesn't deserve to be hanging around outside!"
"Tie him up!" Henry ordered his two men.
It was time for Lorenzo to get his comeuppance from Hanry.
Sitting on the chair of death.
After being forced to sit in the chair and tied up so he couldn't run, Hanry realized something. He walked over to Lorenzo.
He found a watch on Lorenzo's wrist.
"How smart are you, using a smartwatch like this to contact your damn partner?" Hanry's right hand scrutinized the watch. While in his heart he cursed.
Hanry recognized the watch. Because that watch was synonymous with the DeMarco family. Which is definitely Robbie's
"Asshole! What are you talking to Robbie about?" Hanry threw the watch away violently and even stomped on it until it shattered into pieces.
"Why are you so afraid of your son joining me?" Instead of being afraid, Lorenzo laughed as if belittling Hanry.
"Answer, damn it!" Hanry's hand was now firmly gripping Lorenzo's shirt collar.
"He doesn't want to submit to you anymore. Understand?"
"Shit!" One punch landed squarely on Lorenzo's face, not content with just one, he repeatedly punched Lorenzo's face until it bled.
"Lock his legs up! And also find Robbie!" Hanry ordered, he had a bad feeling.
What would Hanry do to Robbie? Would he do the same to his son later, as he did to his captives?
Meanwhile, a man with curly hair was ringing the bell of someone's apartment.
Even though the watch already shows 1:00 p.m. However, Robbie still persisted to complete his mission tonight.
With several well-built men, with tattoos around their hands and necks, standing ready behind Robbie.
When the bell was pressed, it wasn't long before the apartment door opened.
"Robbie–"
"Shit. Robbie, what's happened?"
The man's face was covered by black plastic and two bodyguards dragged the man into the parking lot, more precisely into a car to take him somewhere.
"Robbie, damn it! What the hell are you doing?" he shouted repeatedly.
"Punch him in the face until he passes out!" Robbie ordered. And soon there was a loud smack.
Twenty minutes later, the man who had just regained consciousness was screaming as his body was handcuffed to a chair.
"Let me out, damn it!" he shouted.
"Damn it Robbie, you already hurt Jane. And now what do you want again? Leave her alone, asshole!"
The door to the room opened, revealing Robbie's face walking up to her.
"Callum ... Callum ... When I broke up with Jane, you were supposed to make her your girlfriend. Why were you so stupid? Letting the woman you had a crush on for so long, still think of you as a friend?"
That's right, the person who was kidnapped by Robbie was Callum–Jane's friend.
Actually, what did Robbie want to do to Callum?
"Damn, you're a piece of shit, Robbie! If I'm being honest, even your father would rather be with Jane! Than with an asshole like you!"
Hearing this, of course, angered Robbie.
He threw the flower vase on the table, right at Callum's head. Thus producing fresh blood.
"Don't you dare say his name!" Robbie scolded.
"Why, are you ashamed that you were defeated by your own father? Gosh, if you're not Mr. DeMarco's son, you're nobody!" Even though his head hurt like hell, Callum still retorted with words that could make him hurt again.
"In fact, you are very stupid, unlike the very intelligent Mr. DeMarco!" he continued.
Robbie walked wide towards Callum and strangled his neck until the man could barely breathe.
"Hurry up and get Jane! Get her over here! Tell her that you need her help, because you had an accident!"
"Alright, or do you want to die now?" he threatened.
"You know, even though you are gone from my hands, Jane's life will always suffer! Because she has tried to humiliate me!"
"Please don't! Don't hurt her!" Callum replied stammeringly.
"Then do as I say, damn it!"
Callum's cell phone which was already in Robbie's hands insisted that Callum call Jane and tell her to come to the address he would mention later.
"If you disobey my orders, just watch. This gun will soon slide freely into your head!" threatened Robbie, whose other hand was now holding a gun aimed directly at Callum's head.
Callum, who had no choice, obeyed Robbie's orders.
["Hello, Jane ... Help me, please ... I had an accident,"] While saying this, Callum really wanted to cry and repeatedly apologized to Jane.
["Gosh, where did you have the accident, Callum?"]
["I don't really know where i'm. I'll tell you the location. Do me a favor, Jane ...."]
["Alright, I'll be there. You stay there, ok? I'll call the police–"]
["No! Don't involve the police and Mr. DeMarco, please ...."] Callum was forced to say that even though right now what he needed was the police or Mr. DeMarco. However, when he saw Robbie who was ready to pull the trigger of the gun, Callum was like a coward.
["Oh my God, Callum ... Alright, I'll be there now!"]
The phone call was cut off, as Jane seemed to be on her way.
"Are you satisfied, damn it?" Callum swore at Robbie.
"Not yet. Until that bitch actually gets here!"
"Stop calling her a bitch!"
Maybe thirty minutes later, there was a shout from outside the room, obviously from someone Robbie and Callum recognized.
"Callum, where are you?" she yelled.
When the door was opened by Jane and now saw Jane's shocked face at Callum's battered condition, not to mention seeing Robbie who was also there. With his hand Robbie pointed the gun at Jane this time.
Suddenly, the sound of the gun echoed in the room.
Who was the person who pulled the trigger? Was it Robbie?
"Quick, take Jane!" Hanry shouted to his men and he stared intently at Robbie.
Yeah, the shot didn't come from the gun held by Robbie, but rather from Hanry's gun that came suddenly and on time.
Hanry's bullet pierced Robbie's leg. So his body immediately fell just like that because of pain.
"Asshole! Dad, even now, you dare to shoot your son?" shouted Robbie, grimacing in pain and trying not to faint despite the pain.
As Hanry's men were about to enter the warehouse to get Robbie and Callum into the car to be taken to the hospital, Hanry gave orders to his guards.
"Just take that guy!" he said while pointing at Callum. Because Callum's condition was very worrying.
"What about me?" Robbie shouted.
"What about you? Where did all of Lorenzo's incompetent men go?"
"Shouldn't they be protecting you?" he asked again with a triumphant smile.
"Mom will be so disappointed to see you shoot her son!" With his remaining strength, Robbie tried to talk to the mother.
"She'll only be disappointed for a moment. After that, she will forgive me. Do you know why? Because if my wife is still alive, she won't think of you as her son anymore. Because your insolent nature dominates you too much!" Henry replied without any hesitation at all as he said it.
"Your mother would be disappointed, too, seeing the controversy you've created over a woman. When you already had a woman who was lucky to have you. You wasted her instead. Badmouthing her good name. Imagine if your mother saw this kind of jerk behavior. Would she be proud of you? Remember, when your mother was alive, Dad never once cheated on her!" After saying that, Hanry left the room.
"Take him to the hospital. Don't forget to handcuff his hands while in the hospital, even while he's being operated on!" Henry ordered his men, who had been standing guard nearby.
"Dad ... You bastard! Don't do this to me!" Robbie tried to avoid his father's men who were trying to drag him into the car.
However, by then his strength was getting weaker. He had to fight the pain from the bullet that stuck in his leg.
Honestly, even though he was brave, he was still afraid of being imprisoned in a dark room.
So, what about the continuation of Robbie and Lorenzo's mission? Also, will Hanry put Robbie in the basement after he undergoes surgery at the hospital?
