Chapter 8 The More Enemies

The dinner hosted by DeMarco's colleagues certainly did not go unnoticed by the public.

A long red carpet was spread out. Some of DeMarco's colleagues had already entered the five-star restaurant. Many journalists were already covering it.

Especially when Hanry's car stopped right in front of the red carpet, now all the cameras were focused on Hanry's car, waiting for the handsome mafia to get out of the car.

Nothing could be more surprising than seeing Hanry get out of the car with a blonde woman wearing a red dress, carrying the most expensive branded bag. Who else but Jane Wallace?

"Mr. DeMarco ... Please look over here!"

"Jane Wallace ... Are you now Mr. DeMarco's girlfriend?"

"What about the news about you on social media, about Robbie DeMarco demonizing you?"

As the question came out of the mouth of one of the reporters, Jane stopped in her tracks. And looked at Hanry to allow her to answer the question, because this was what Jane had come to this dinner for, to get the spotlight.

She wanted to reveal the truth.

"Until now I haven't clarified anything on social media. Because Hanry forbade me, he was afraid I wasn't mentally ready to speak. However, someone happened to ask me about this. So I would like to answer briefly that what was said on social media there about my name is not true. I am a victim of my past relationship."

"Then why are you with Mr. DeMarco now?" one of the reporters asked again.

"It was all completely accidental. I met Hanry at a club. And we chatted. At the time, Hanry didn't know me, even though I was his son's ex-girlfriend. I was also a little drunk at the time so I didn't recognize Hanry. Our conversation went so well that we eventually decided to pursue a relationship. If there's a lot of gossip out there about me, just let them talk about my ugliness. Most importantly, I'm not a criminal and now I'm happy with Hanry," Jane says at length.

When Jane says, 'I'm happy with Hanry,' it makes Hanry's heart race because he feels nervous and happy at the same time.

"Robbie DeMarco, if you're seeing this, you must have seen my clarification, right? Don't disturb my life anymore. Enjoy your relationship with your new lover!" Jane smiled very elegantly as if she held no grudge against Robbie.

She had prepared all this while still at home and had Hanry's approval.

Hanry, who also now hates his son, is proud that Jane said so. Letting others know that his relationship with his son has fallen apart

"Come on," Hanry invited as his right hand wrapped around Jane's waist which looked very romantic.

Hanry did not even hesitate to show his intimacy with Jane in front of the media. After all this time, Hanry has never shown his romantic side to any woman other than his late wife.

And now he's doing it with Jane Wallace.

"Are my words not too much?" Jane whispered.

Hanry glanced at Jane and smiled. Without answering, Hanry kissed Jane's neck, and of course, many reporters captured the moment.

"Good job, Baby Girl!"

"I just want to see my boyfriend!" pleaded Anya, who was in front of Robbie's ward. However, two of Hanry's bodyguards prevented her from entering.

"No one is allowed to see Robbie!" said one of Hanry's bodyguards.

"Gosh, I don't even know what the problem is. I just wanted to–"

Before Anya could finish her sentence, someone suddenly approached them and interrupted.

"Just let her in. I already got permission from Mr. DeMarco," Ryan said.

"Hurry up and open the door!" Anya shot Hanry's bodyguards an annoyed look. And the door opened.

"Take it easy, there are eavesdroppers inside," Ryan explained to Hanry's bodyguards.

Inside the ward, Robbie, who had just woken up from his sleep, was immediately surprised to see Anya's arrival.

"Honey, how did you get in here?" asked Robbie while sitting up and enduring the pain in his hands because since yesterday, his hands were still handcuffed.

Anya cried in Robbie's arms. "I was so worried about you."

"You have to help me get out of here!" Robbie pleaded with Anya.

"Oh my God, how can I do that? I don't even have the strength–"

Suddenly, Robbie grabbed Anya's cell phone.

He typed something on it.

"This is the address of Lorenzo's headquarters. You should ask his men there to connect him with Sir Wrigley. My phone is confiscated!" Robbie explained.

Anya's face looked unsure. Could she go to the mafia headquarters alone?

Anya's cell phone vibrates, indicating a notification from Robbie's Instagram account.

Robbie's Instagram account had deliberately entered Anya's cell phone.

"Who?" Anya asked.

"Lydia," Robbie replied.

The contents of the message from Lydia give one of the gossip accounts that are currently being discussed.

As is known, this famous British actress is very interested in Hanry, wanting to be his lover. And several times rumored to be close to Hanry.

Namely, news about Jane clarifying her problems with Robbie.

Of course, Robbie didn't know about it because he didn't have a cell phone, and in the ward, although there was a television, Hanry deliberately did not allow it to turn on, specifically for the ward occupied by Robbie.

"Damn it! She's fucking smart!" he complained irritably.

However, when he got a message from Lydia Carter, he immediately got another brilliant idea.

"The more people who antagonize Mr. DeMarco and Jane. The easier it is for me to get back at them!"

Yeah, Robbie does consider his father as his enemy.

[Is there anything I can help you with?] Robbie had to come up with a tactic first so that it wouldn't be too obvious that he was interested in working with Lydia.

Seeing Jane with his father on the gossip news, Robbie, who was no hypocrite, still loved that woman, was naturally angry.

"Anya, I'll give you an assignment," Robbie said while looking at Anya with a meaningful gaze.

What was Robbie and Lydia's new plan this time? Also, would their conversation inside the ward be recorded by the eavesdroppers?
