"I'll see you later," Avery said as she left the room, Hazel was pondering about the whole situation as she was lost in thoughts, the sweetness in her mouth brought her out of her reverie.
She went out of her room as she felt blood gushing out from her face, she dropped her younger brother down and placed her hands on her face, she realized that the blood was dripping from her forehead
"What exactly have I done wrong?" She pondered, Sophia turned in her direction and an evil glint appeared in her eyes.
"You're a useless daughter like your father" She rolled her eyes at the statement and went back to her room, Hazel felt pains in her back, but she ignored the pains and entered the room.
"Blood," Her younger brother said, pointing to her back.
Hazel removed the clothes on her body and realized that her clothes had been stained with blood.
"Can this day get worse??"
Several times, she had thought about the strained relationship and shook her head. Her parents had been loving no doubt but their love for her turned into hate
Tears rolled down her cheeks when she remembered the humiliation that she had faced.
She was in tears when she heard the knock on her door, she cleaned her face and opened the door for the one who had knocked.
She was stupefied at the presence of the one who had knocked but it did not last for long, she melted into the hands of the one as tears ran down her cheeks.
"Are you alright??" Avery asked, concern evident in her voice
Hazel shook her head as tears continued to pour out of her face
Avery hugged her and she noticed that there was a painful expression on Hazel's face.
She needed no soothsayer to tell her that Hazel had been injured. The duo entered the room and Avery removed the clothes that Hazel was wearing.
On her back was a huge scar, Avery traced the outline of the scar, Hazel whimpered
"Who did this to you??" Avery asked.
"My mother" Hazel replied.
The room was quiet for some time as the duo was lost in their thoughts, after a while Hazel sighed and brought out a book to start reading
"What are you doing with the book??" Avery asked, wondering where she got the book from
"Relieving my stress and pain" Hazel answered
Avery looked at her perplexed.
"A weirdo for a friend huh" she thought to herself
Hazel made herself comfortable as she opened the book to begin reading
"INTRODUCTION TO WIZARDRY" Beautifully decorated in gold and silver colors
"This sounds intriguing," Avery said
"Care to join??" Hazel asked, her brown eyes staring at Avery curiously.
Avery nodded her head as they sat down and began reading
"Wizardry does not only require the use of wands, incense, pots, books, and whatnot, it's deeper than that. The strength of a wizard lies in three things - Conjuring, Manipulating, Transforming
Every wizard has an animal that they are legally bound to. The animal of the wizard determines the capability of the wizard.
The animal chooses the wizard and not the other way around. The animal could be considered a loyal servant to the wizard.
Although it's the animal that chooses the wizard, it is the responsibility of the wizard to groom the animal to the stages he wants it to be.
The stages of a wizard animal are the same as the stages of the wizard who owns such an animal.
it was an unwritten rule that wizards are not permitted to be stronger or weaker than their animals, this way both the wizard and the animal are protected. The stages of the wizard animals are as follows:
Bronze Stage: This is when it has just been born, it is very weakened at this stage, susceptible to danger, and feeds on the host blood daily to acquire strength
Golden Stage: This is when maturity begins although animals in this stage cannot be used for battle and war, the host draws out blood and puts it in a cup, and it drinks from the cup, twice every week
Crimson Stage: At this stage, it could move on to war but will be under strong supervision by the host. Does not take blood but feeds on the host incense, this gives it strength and it's responsible for its growth.
Diamond Stage: It is used for war, at this stage, the animal has developed a keen perception and can easily evade danger when being confronted by danger, taking both blood and incense.
Infinite Stage: The final stage, by this time, had developed a survival of the fittest mentality, and can transform into a human. Does not feed on blood and incense but feeds on the natural food that humans eat.
Conjuring: This has to do with bringing forth a particular thing out of nothing, conjurers could be considered as the creators because they create things.
In times past, conjurers could be seen in broken and desolate lands as they could bring forth life even in the deepest form of darkness.
Conjuring is only the beginning stage in wizardry, Conjurers had to be at the crimson stage before taking a step to move out to battles, in time past, conjurers could be seen all over the continent as it was not something that it could cause men attraction for."
Hazel was about to turn over to the next page when a knock sounded at her door, she grumbled, moving to the door she opened the door with a fearful expression on her face
