Her words caught me off guard, leaving me taken aback and momentarily stunned. Unlike everyone else, Mom had never said that to me.
Even when others labeled me a weak Omega for not having found my wolf, Mom would always reassure me, telling me not to worry about what they said.
And now that I have found my wolf, she's sending me to the Pack house as a slave?
Only weak Omegas are transferred to the Pack house every year, not us with wolves.
Had she joined Forces with Kelvin to send me to slavery, unaware that he had already rejected me?
"I'm so sorry if what I said hurt you, but you have to go, Aurora. The Pack isn't safe anymore, we are getting attacks, and it's best for you to leave. Staying in the Pack house where the Alpha lives will..."
"The Alpha?" My heart skipped a beat.
I didn't even think about that earlier. Staying in the Pack house is equal to staying with the Alpha.
That was an excellent opportunity for me to see my mate whenever I wanted.
But Kelvin suggested that? Was he trying to get rid of me from the Pack because he has found a new mate and thinks I will be a threat?
I took a deep breath, steadying myself, then returned to the couch and sank into its cushion, letting out a slow exhale as I settled in.
I was quiet for a few seconds, contemplating what to tell Mom.
I wouldn't just tell her I agreed to go, and I can't tell her no either.
Mom knew I usually gave into Kelvin's wants, so my refusal would raise her suspicions.
"I care about you, and Kelvin also cares about you." She took my hands in hers, tapping them gently.
"That's fine," I said, standing on my feet again.
I didn't say a word to Mom as I made my way to the inner room.
Since I'll be leaving tomorrow, it's better I start packing my stuff today.
It's already getting dark, and new servants are taken to the Alpha's Pack house in the morning.
The next morning, a knock came from the door.
Mom was out getting last-minute things, leaving me alone at home.
When I opened the door, I was met with a mocking look and a stern stare from Kelvin and the Mate-snatcher.
"What do you want here?" I held the door, refusing to let Kelvin and his mate in.
"To give you my final word, Aurora," his voice broke in to mock Chuckle.
"Thank the Goddess she's leaving the Pack and becoming a slave," his mate mocked.
I frowned at her and then ignored her.
Going to the Pack house might be the freedom I've long desired.
Who knows, the Alpha will notice me and make me his Luna.
Climbing that position will make Kelvin and his worthless Mate bow down to me.
"What are you still doing here? You should be on your way now." Kelvin pointed to the group of ladies who were walking in line, carrying their bags on their heads.
"Those are weak Omegas, like you. Go meet them and leave!" His mate snarled at me.
That didn't hurt me because I ain't a weak Omega as they all thought. I have a wolf, a strong one, and it is prettier than hers.
But what Kelvin didn't know, and what no one else suspected , was that I have a wolf, known only to Mom.
Ignoring them, I picked up my bag from the couch and left the house.
I saw no point in engaging in small talk with them when my attention was already focused on someone else-someone who was waiting for me and held my true interest.
It didn't take long before we arrived at the Pack house. It was much bigger on the inside than it was on the outside.
The imposing wolf statue in the middle of the mansion is a sight to behold.
Alongside three other girls, I trailed behind the guard, our eyes wide with curiosity as we stepped into the Alpha's residence for the first time.
As I took in the breathtaking view of the mansion, my mind was simultaneously scanning the surroundings, searching for a glimpse of the Alpha.
"This is the way to the garden." The guard pointed to the servants busily crafting intricate floral designs. They carefully trimmed and shaped flowers into elaborate forms, their skilled hands moving with precision and care.
I nodded my head, admiring the intricate view of the garden from afar.
As soon as we passed the garden, my eyes drifted to the balcony, where a figure stood.
For a second, my heart fluctuated.
I froze, my gaze fixed on the stunning figure standing before me, his chiseled features and poised demeanor leaving me breathless.
I instinctively knew that he was the Alpha, my second chance Mate, bestowed upon me by the Moon Goddess.
His physique was on full display in the white t-shirt, which hugged his chest and highlighted his bulging biceps.
His silky black hair rested on his shoulders, matching his intricate, pure, smooth skin.
" Aurora?"
I blinked as one of the girls called my name.
My focus was entirely on the Alpha, and I didn't realize they had slipped away, leaving me lost in his presence.
"Let's go," she said to me, and she went her way, leaving me standing on the same spot.
When I turned my gaze to the balcony again, the Alpha wasn't there anymore.
"Damn it!" I stamped my feet on the ground, biting my lower lip angrily and cursing her under my breath.
' He's so handsome, Aurora' Kiara giggled shyly.
She was right. The Alpha is more handsome than I thought.
No wonder his wolf was a sight to behold. How lucky I am to be gifted with such a wonderful gift.
