Chapter 5 The night grew late

The night crept deeper, and Nia found herself awake, lying in bed with her mind racing. She felt tired, but sleep would not come. The rain falling softly outside the window provided a calming atmosphere, but her heart still felt heavy.

In the living room, Farel sat in his favorite chair, reading a book to distract his mind from everything that had happened. He occasionally glanced towards Nia's room, worried about his sister's condition. Suddenly, a knock on the door woke him from his reverie.

"Come in," Farel called as he closed his book.

Richard appeared at the door with a serious expression. "Farel, I'd like to talk to you for a moment if you don't mind."

Farel nodded and closed his book. "Sure, Richard. What's up?"

Richard sat down in the chair next to Farel, starting the conversation in a serious tone. "I know tonight has been hard for everyone. Nia seems to be struggling with her feelings, and I want to make sure that we're all on the same page about how we're going to proceed."

Farel sighed and looked at Richard. "I know. It's all so complicated, and I feel like I'm stuck in the middle."

Richard looked at Farel with concern. "I understand how you feel. However, we need to think clearly and make sure that we make wise decisions. Nia is struggling, and we need to support her as best we can."

Farel nodded in agreement. "Yes, I agree. But sometimes I feel like I don't know where to start."

Richard understood Farel's anxiety. "We need to approach this carefully. Nia needs time and space to process everything. We need to give her support without making her feel pressured."

Farel smiled weakly. "I'll do my best. I just hope we can find a way to help Nia feel better."

Richard patted Farel's shoulder understandingly. "We're all here to support her. If there's anything we can do to help, let's do it."

Meanwhile, in Nia's bedroom, she began to feel calmer and decided to sit down at her desk to write in her journal. Writing was an effective way for her to process her feelings and try to organize her thoughts.

She wrote with great feeling, pouring out all the worries and pain she felt. Every word she wrote felt like it released some of the burden on her heart. Suddenly, she heard a soft knock on the door.

"Nia, can I come in?" Farel asked from outside.

Nia opened the door and saw Farel standing in the doorway with a gentle expression. "Sure, Sis."

Farel entered the room and sat on the edge of the bed. "I just wanted to make sure you were okay and see if there was anything I could do to help you."

Nia took a breath and smiled a little. "I'm trying to write to ease my feelings. It helps a little, even though I still feel very confused."

Farel looked at Nia intently. "Writing can be a good way to express your feelings. If you feel like talking, I'm here to listen."

Nia nodded. "I know. I appreciate all the support you've given me. It means a lot to me."

Farel sat closer and held Nia's hand gently. "We all want to see you happy and feeling better. It may take time, but we will get through it together."

Nia was touched by Farel's words. "Thank you, Sis. I feel stronger with your support."

In the living room, Richard and Ari were still talking about how they could deal with this situation. Richard tried to make Ari feel calmer by giving him advice on how to approach Nia.

"Ari, we have to be patient and give Nia the space she needs. Sometimes, time is the best medicine for healing," Richard said wisely.

Ari nodded. "I know. I just feel really bad about this situation. I want everything to go back to normal, but I don't know how."

Richard smiled softly. "We can start with small steps and make sure that we listen to Nia's feelings. If she feels supported and understood, it can help her healing process."

Ari felt a little more optimistic. "Okay, I'll try to be more patient and give Nia time. I just hope we can find a way to fix this relationship."

Richard nodded. "We'll do it the best way possible. The important thing is that we keep communicating and supporting each other."

As the night progressed, Nia felt a little calmer after talking to Farel. She thanked her brother and felt more ready to face the days ahead with more positivity.

"Nia, if there's something you want to do, do it. or talk about it, don't hesitate to contact me," Farel said before leaving the room. "I'll always be here for you."

Nia smiled softly. "Thank you, Sis. I'll remember that."

Farel left Nia's room feeling satisfied, feeling that he had done his best to support his sister. He knew that the journey was still long, but he felt more prepared to face the challenges together with his family and those closest to him.

Meanwhile, Richard and Ari also felt a little calmer after talking to each other. They both knew that they had to approach this situation carefully and try to make wise decisions for the good of all parties.

The night grew late, and everyone in the house went to bed with hopeful thoughts. Although there was still a lot to face, they felt a little more prepared to face whatever was to come, thanks to the support and love that was given to each other.
